Peter Blake Contract Update
04/01/2030
Tigers, Veteran Blake Agree to Terms: Peter Blake inked a deal that will keep the seasoned veteran on the Tigers roster another 2 years. Earlier today team personnel announced that the 38-year-old had settled on a $16,000,000-a-year deal to play at Comerica Park.

It's no secret Blake is getting older, but he could still contribute a lot to the franchise.

His all-time numbers show Blake is carrying a .289 career batting average with 570 home runs and 1886 RBIs.

Doccers Raps 700th Roundtripper: "I wasn't trying to hit a homer. I just wanted to make contact."

The standout right fielder collected 2 hits in 3 at-bats with 2 RBI and 2 runs scored.

Christian Benjamin Career Update
10/01/2030
Benjamin Reaches 3500 Milestone: The box score from yesterday's game will show that Colorado beat the Chicago Cubs, 6-3. It will also show that left fielder Christian Benjamin went 1-for-4 for the Rockies. It will not show, however, that Benjamin reached the 3500-hit mark for his career.

The 39-year-old Benjamin reflected on the achievement after the game. He mused: "In one respect, it's a real milestone, I guess. Yet, it's just a base hit like any other base hit."

During his career Benjamin has chalked up 3500 hits and a .306 average with 651 home runs and 2069 RBIs.
