Justin Howe's Offseason
11/25/2016
Young CL Howe Talking with Dodgers?: Rumors about Justin Howe moving to Los Angeles persist as the 25-year-old only fueled the fire by complimenting team management after a bargaining session.

The closer also bought a piece of real estate in the area earlier in the week.

11/27/2016
CL Howe and Florida Rumored Talking Deal: A noncommittal Justin Howe suggested in a recent interview that he would like to play in Dolphin Stadium next season.

The 25-year-old closer has reportedly been offered a $30,900,000, 3-year deal, though his signature might prove elusive given his reputation around the league.

12/09/2016
Texas Makes Big Splash in Free Agency: Signs CL: Even though they see him as a greedy tongue-wager, Texas fans were nonetheless relieved that Justin Howe inked a deal with the organization today. There's no disputing his talent and there's no doubt that he's worth a pretty penny, although maybe not the $32,400,000 offered to him.

Howe has accounted for 181 saves in his career.

Import News:
Chicago to Lose Dubb for 9 Months: Johnny Dubb will have to wait a while longer. The Chicago second baseman was informed this afternoon that he will miss another 9 months with a torn anterior cruciate ligament. The injury has kept him off the field since 05/19/2017. Though Dubb had hoped to return soon, he has no choice but to be patient. "Gotta stay focused," he said. "Gotta stay positive."

This season Dubb is batting .327 with 30 RBIs, 21 runs scored and 4 home runs.

In Season Extension:
$$$ Keeps Superstar Lee in Arizona: The Diamondbacks inked a deal with 26-year-old Jason Lee today signaling that it not only wanted him on the field but in the clubhouse.

Publicly, Jason Lee has spoken highly of Arizona, so the extension wasn't a total surprise.

Lee will draw $51,000,000 over the next 3 years.

Checking out his stats for the season, Lee has racked up 15 wins and 3 losses in 30 starts, 2.01 ERA and struck out 219 batters in 201 innings.
