Toad held off Wario late to win his first race of the season and be right there in the points. Toad played a lot of defense to win the race, with no real challenger other than Wario.
Bowser passed Mario and Peach late to get another top 3 and barely hold on to the top points spot.
Luigi still failed to get a top 4. Donkey Kong has also failed to get a top 3 so far, but has two top 4s.
Interestingly, no one moved in the points.
Final Results
1. Toad 2. Wario 3. Bowser 4. Mario 5. Peach 6. Luigi 7. Yoshi 8. Donkey Kong
One of the simpler tracks on the circuit, defined by the in-the-track train that goes through.
Right now there is a three character race for the points lead, Toad, Bowser and Wario. Will one of them pull ahead, or can someone like Yoshi, Peach or Mario make a splash?
And what about Luigi or Donkey Kong? Can one of them get a run going? Especially Luigi, who hasn’t even topped fifth yet.
A perfect storm of finishes for Peach. . Not only did Peach dominate and win, none of her would be points rivals finished in the top 4. Wario ended up 5th, Toad 7th and Bowser last. This put Peach right in the thick of the title race.
Despite finishing 5th, Wario overtook the points lead.
FINALLY, Luigi got a top 4. Sadly, it was 4th.
Every driver but Luigi and Donkey Kong have at least two top 3s. Luigi and Donkey Kong have none.

Standings
1. Wario 66 Leader, +1) 2. Bowser 65 (1 point back, -1) 3. Peach 62 (4 points back, has more wins than Toad, +1) 4. Toad 62 (4 points back, -1) 5. Mario 50 (16 points back, 0) 6. Yoshi 38 (28 points back, 0) 7. Luigi 21 (45 points back, +1) 8. Donkey Kong 17 (49 points back, -1)
The most complicated track on the circuit. There are many ways to go in Yoshi Valley, thus throughout the entire race there will be a question on who is leading, and where everyone is!
The championship race has tightened up again, as Peach, Wario, Bowser and Toad are all points within the other. Mario isn’t too far behind either, and the right set of circumstances with a win could propel him to the top.
Of course, we will see if Donkey Kong and Luigi Can obtain that elusive top 3.
A couple races ago we were laughing at Luigi for not finishing in the top half.
Now, he’s a race winner.
Luigi and his brother Mario took the top two spots at Yoshi Valley. Yoshi struggled mightly throughout most of the race, but made a big comeback to end up 3rd at his home track.
Wario, Bowser and Peach all finished poorly, allowing Mario to add himself to the early championship discussion with his 2nd straight 2nd place.
Toad’s 4th is good enough to snag the points lead.
Only Donkey Kong is without a top 3 now.

1. Luigi 2. Mario 3. Yoshi 4. Toad 5. Donkey Kong 6. Peach 7. Wario 8. Bowser
The most dangerous track by far: Toad’s Turnpike on mirror setting has trucks, cars and buses all speeding toward our competitors. If they hit one, the driver flips around, losing tons of time. Who will survive?
A lot of people are looking at the Mario Brothers, Luigi and Mario, as they both have been riding a bit of a hot streak as of late.
Of course, someone like Bowser, who started quickly, needs to break his last place streak in order to get his season back on track.
Mario has stormed ahead, continuing his streak of excellent finishes (2nd, 2nd and now 1st in his last three) to take the points lead.
It was trouble for many drivers. Hometown Toad led early, but couldn’t stay out of the way of the incoming traffic. For a while it looked like Yoshi was going to be the winner, as he had a dominant lead going into the final lap, but the dino could not avoid traffic either. Bowser and Mario gave chase, and it was Mario who pulled out the victory.
We are now 1/4th the way through the season.

Peach’s track, and it looks like it came in just in time.
Mario is red hot right now. This is his chance to get away as we approach the middle part of the season. Will he be able to? Bowser is right on his heels, the classic battle. Can he catch Mario?
Will Wario or Toad prove that their runs weren’t flukes?
Can Donkey Kong show any signs that he isn’t a joke out there?
Let’s ride with royalty…the King of the Koopas himself…
Earlier this season we paid little attention to Wario, and he made us eat our words with back to back wins.
Now that again, the focus was beginning to go elsewhere, Wario is back again to show who’s the favorite.
Wario won his third race this season, dominating the finish. Yoshi, winless but nonetheless one who has put together a nice run of finishes, finished 2nd.
Bowser was in the running early on, but fell off the track near the end of lap and had to make a comeback.
Donkey Kong again failed to finish in the top 4. His 0 top 3s and 2 top 4s are either last or tied for last stat wise.
Wario and Bowser are again 1-2 in the points, just as it was a few races ago.
Final Results
1. Wario 2. Yoshi 3. Bowser 4. Toad 5. Donkey Kong 6. Mario 7. Peach 8. Luigi
There is no cow on the roster, so this track is not home to anyone. It is one of the shortest tracks on the schedule, and also is the residence of some angry Monty Moles that may come out and attack drivers.
This track is a definite wildcard. This could be the track to allow Wario or Bowser to get a good lead in the points. Or, it will allow Toad or Mario to re-establish their leads. Maybe Yoshi will win race #1 and prove to be a contender.
Well well well, look who kicked ass and created some space in the points.
Bowser won his 2nd race, a hectic one at that that could have also had Luigi or Toad as winners. Peach had a chance too, but a crazy green shell shot from Luigi cost her.
Wario blew his momentum by finishing last.
Donkey Kong has another subpar finish. He is now one of two drivers without a win, the only driver with no top 3s (everyone else has at least two) and only 2 top 4s (everyone else has three or more). While not mathematically, it is reasonable to think his championship hopes are over.

The most colorful and longest track there is, it’s Rainbow Road.
Now that Bowser has re-established his dominance at the top spot, how will the other drivers respond? Can anyone catch up, or this the beginning of a long run at the top?
Now, making his debut as the featured driver, we will ride with…
Donkey Kong, laughed at by all for his lack of success, nearly matched the output of his first 10 races with a victory at Rainbow Road. He battled Wario, who with his 2nd place finish refused to let Bowser extend his lead in the championship standings.
Yoshi was back to his regular consistency, with his fifth top 3 in six races. Yoshi though, is the only driver now to not have a victory, although he leads the series in top 3 finishes.
Bowser didn’t lose too much ground finishing in 4th.
Donkey Kong is still last in points, but as of now is no longer in a hopeless state.

1. Donkey Kong 2. Wario 3. Yoshi 4. Bowser 5. Luigi 6. Mario 7. Peach 8. Toad
And again, the points have gotten closer. All because of royalty.
Peach won her third race of the season, thrusting herself into championship contention once again. It was a crazy last lap where Yoshi and Mario contended to the end, with the princess coming out on top.
Yoshi put up another consistent finish, and is right there in the points as well.
Donkey Kong failed to continue any momentum he had…
Bowser just let his points advantage fall away…

1. Peach 2. Yoshi 3. Mario 4. Toad 5. Luigi 6. Bowser 7. Donkey Kong 8. Wario
From a beach to a castle. We get to the near end of the first go around for the schedule. Bowser’s Castle comes at a great time for Bowser, and this should give him a chance to further extend his points lead.
There are other questions of course. Can Yoshi put up another good finish, possibly a win, and obtain the points lead?
Maybe, maybe this man will regain points supremacy…
Peach won her 4th race this season (which will be league average at the end of the season). Unfortunately, her inconsistency all season has regulated her to a 5th place in the standings so far. She averages only 3.4 points per race in non victories, which is obviously a disaster.
Yoshi had yet another crack at a win, but has to settle for 2nd again. Nonetheless, due to poor finishes from Toad and Bowser, Yoshi is right there in the points, 4 behind the leader. Yoshi also tied Toad for the series lead with top 4 finishes with 10, and leads everyone with 8 top 3s.
Despite totaling 20 points in his last four races, Bowser hangs on to the points lead.
Luigi had his fourth 5th place finish in a row. 6th overall.
Donkey Kong managed a top 4.

1. Peach 2. Yoshi 3. Mario 4. Donkey Kong 5. Luigi 6. Toad 7. Wario 8. Bowser
Despite Yoshi’s consistent success, wins did not follow.
Until now.
Yoshi took a commanding lead in the standings with his 1st victory of the season, showing consistency, with a pinch of winning, may be the solution to a championship.
Hometown hero Donkey Kong and Mario were the only other threats to win the race that was otherwise dominated by Yoshi. Peach ended up swiping third from Donkey Kong, so Donkey Kong did not get a real chance to make up any points. Peach put herself in the top 3 as a result points wise.
