I am going to assume that JJ kinda killed the ending of the show ratings-wise, but I'm loving it.

Tuesday Night Raw
June 4th, 1996
Announcers: Jim Ross & Ted DiBiase

- Our show opens with the WWF World Champion strutting out, dancing and slapping hands to the delight of the live Raw crowd. Once in the ring he tells us tonight he lives a dream. Tonight he joins up with another Icon, the original face of the WWF. A true LEGEND of the sport... Hulk Hogan! On cue out steps the hulkster who thanks HBK for the kind words and promises to do his best for all the Hulkamaniacs out there in their tag match. Michaels expresses disappointment and admits to Hogan that it's his dream to defend the world title against him. It's his dream to go man to man against Hulk. To prove he belongs amongst the biggest names in the industry. Hogan says he's humbled and promises that after he's done kicking Diesel's butt, he'll do what he can to give the WWF fans what they want but for tonight? It's time to run wild all over Diesel and Sid!
(98)

Dr. Tom Pritchard vs. Justin 'The Hawk' Bradshaw

This stems from last week as Bradshaw gets a nice pop. Dr. Tom looks angry at first, but once the match starts he has a hard time making headway against the big Texan, only getting in some offense when he resorts to eye gouging, hair pulling and any other shortcut he can take. After some back and forth Bradshaw hits a huge fallaway slam and calls for his big lariat when he's suddenly grabbed on his leg by someone at ringside! JR identifies the man as Salvator Sincere and the distraction let's Dr. Tom run up and hit a superkick before covering Bradshaw for the three!

After his win Sal slides into the ring and both men stomp down on Bradshaw before Tom raises Sincere's hand! What's this alliance about?
(68/63/74)

- Backstage and Todd is with the Dungeon Of Doom. Jimmy Hart is talking and says that tonight is a lesson in respect. Tonight is a message sent to an ingrate. A LOSER who made Hart look bad! Jimmy tells Meng that the One Man Gang is going to crush him and that the 'savage' will regret the day he failed him. Without Hart he is nothing and he should just go back to whatever jungle he dragged himself out of!
(78)

Meng vs. One Man Gang w/ The Dungeon Of Doom

These two put on a entertaining brawl as Meng shows no fear or intimidation against the numbers or his Mohawk foe. The two slug it out in what can best be described as a Pier 6 brawl but the constant interference of Hugh Morrus, Bossman and the Shark leaves little headway for Meng. Just as OMG seems primed to top off his foe however, Fatu of all people sneaks into the mix and trips up the former US champion, allowing Meng to reach out and slap on a Tongan Death grip! Gang struggles but tap out and Meng quickly escapes revenge, leaving with Fatu although he certainly seems confused.
(74/70/78)

- We see Razor Ramon arrive backstage. The IC champion is heading to the ring where we are told he's going to call out HHH next!
(89)

- Back from commercial and the champion is in the ring, as promised. Razor says it's simple. Last week HHH wanted to make an impact. He wanted to get Razor's attention. Ramon says he didn't need to do it how he did. He didn't need to attack his friend Savio. Razor isn't a hard guy to find. He's easy to spot because he's the guy covered in gold, unlike HHH! With that he calls him out and asks the blue blood to face him like a man. Instead out steps Savio Vega. Once in the ring Savio thanks Razor for his words, but says he wants a piece of Hunter as well! He's not a tool to grab Razor's attention, he's his own man and he wants to show the snob what a mistake he made! The two men are interrupted by HHH, accompanied by Chyna. Hunter says he's fine with it. In fact, he'll happily face BOTH men tonight... but at a price. He wants a IC title shot if he can beat them in a tag team match! Razor says that's cool and tells him to bring on whatever partner he wants. HHH smiles and says he has the perfect partner... right next to him in Chyna!
(88)

Razor Ramon & Savio Vega vs. Hunter Hearst Helmsley & Chyna

Razor and Savio don't seem too thrilled about facing a woman and sure enough, as soon as HHH is in trouble he tags out to her. Savio refuses outright to hit her, but Chyna has no such reservations and nails a big forearm that knocks the Caribbean star down! From here the two heels work Savio over and JR says that Chyna, like HHH, was trained by Killer Kowalski at one of the finest wrestling schools in the world. After working Savio over Vega manages to get a big backdrop to escape a pedigree and gets the hot tag to Razor. Ramon lays into HHH but stops himself from hitting Chyna with a big right. The Amazon like woman begs him to fight and even slaps him across the face! Razor grabs her by the hair but the distraction allows the legal man HHH to sneak up and roll Razor into a schoolboy with tights for the tainted three!

Hunter quickly escapes as Chyna joins him, the power couple celebrating as a frustrated Razor is consoled by Savio.
(73/74/73)

- Backstage in the locker Room of Owen Hart as he tells Bulldog and Pillman tonight is the night. Tonight is the catalyst of change for this trio. That catalyst? Tag team gold! Pillman agrees and says he'll do whatever it takes to help the 'family' and he's ready to play ball if Davey is. Bulldog eyes Pillman up and says he doesn't trust him as far as he can throw him (Albeit that'd be pretty far) but that tonight... tonight he's ready to give him a chance. But he warns Pillman. If he tries to stab him in the back, he WILL regret it! An intense stare down is interrupted by Owen Hart who says that's the "spirit" and that it's time to go get the gold!
(82)

WWF Tag Team Championships
The Smoking Gunns (c) vs. British Bulldog & 'The Loose Cannon' Brian Pillman w/ Owen Hart

These 4, unsurprisingly, put on a fantastic match. Bulldog and Pillman show great chemistry early as it seems they are legitimately concentrated on winning, even hitting Bart Gunn with a combination double suplex. The tag veterans do mount a comeback however as Billy Gunn keeps his momentum from the KOTR going off a hot tag and nails some big dropkicks and a tight neckbreaker on Bulldog for a long two. With the titles seemingly slipping away Owen intervenes at ringside, tripping up Billy but eating a big right hand for his troubles. The heels take advantage though and regain the upperhand with an extended beatdown of the KOTR Semi-Finalist. Billy struggles for awhile but manages to hit a big Cobra Clutch slam on Pillman. Instead of making the tag however, Billy says he's "got this" and rushes at Pillman, looking for his Gunslinger finisher. Pillman is ready though as he dodges the move and than hits a big springboard clothesline! Bart Gunn tries to break up the pinfall but is held by Owen which allows the three! We have new champions!

Bulldog and Pillman are in good spirits as they actually hug at ringside and hold up their tag team titles, Owen jumping up and down as the trio celebrate their unlikely victory here!
(84/80/88)

- We cut backstage where we see a wild brawl has erupted! Johnny B. Badd is tackling Jerry Lawler onto a catering table as he starts wailing on the King. Security and other wrestlers pull him off as Badd is screaming to 'Keep her out of this'. The King has a sly smile on his face and promises that he'll make Badd pay as he makes a quick escape. What the hell was that about?
(81)

'The Heartbreak Kid' Shawn Michaels & 'The Immortal' Hulk Hogan vs. 'Big Daddy Cool' Diesel & Sid

The fans are understandably stoked for this one as the heels use their power advantage early on to isolate HBK. The champion plays face in peril to a tee as the crowd screams for a hot tag to Hogan. After a few minutes of working of Michael's back the twin towers make a mistake when Sid misses a big boot and than eats a sudden top rope moonsault from HBK! The champion crawls over and makes the hot tag and Hogan is a house of fire! He starts dropping bombs on both big men and hits each with big bodyslams to the crowds delight. After a thorough hot tagfest his momentum is killed when out of nowhere Vader emerges! The mastodon stares Hogan down and screams their feud isn't done, but Hogan simply motions him to bring it on. Diesel seizes his chance though and blind sides Hogan with a sick big boot before dumping him with a Jackknife to grab the 3!

The fans boo as Vader enters the ring and the trio look ready for a big beatdown when out runs Lex Luger & Sting! The heroes, along with HBK, run off Vader, Sid & Diesel and all 4 men stand tall to end the show.

WCW Saturday Night
June 8, 1996
Announcers: Mike Tenay & 'Mr. Perfect' Curt Hennig

-Mike Tenay & Mr. Perfect welcomed us to WCW Saturday Night and announced that tonight's main event would put 'The Pearl River Powerhouse' Ahmed Johnson against Chris Benoit of the Four Horsemen. Tenay and Perfect then recapped what happened on Nitro when James J. Dillon revealed himself as the Nitro representative of the Championship Committee.

-Taka Michinoku (w/Sony Oono) vs. Blitzkrieg: Kicking things off in the ring tonight was cruiserweight action as Sony Oono brought his latest Japenese sensation down to the ring. Hennig reminded us that Oono's other client, Ultimo Dragon has been impressive lately including winning a shot at Dean Malenko's WCW Cruiserweight Title. Will Oono have the same effect on Taka. Tenay then gave us a rundown on this new WCW masked luchadore, Blitzkrieg who has apparently been making a name for himself in both Mexico and Japan. These two cruiserweights wnet back and forth, but ultimately it was Taka Michinoku walking out with the victory with the Michinoku Driver.
(72%)

-Backstage, "Mean" Gene Okerlund was standing by with Lord Steven Regal and The Blue Bloods. Regal was none too happy about what went down on Nitro when The Bushwackers intervened to make the save for Fit Finlay when Finlay was finally going to kiss Regal's boot. Regal called the Bushwackers disgusting human beings, so it was only natural that they would align themselves with a brute like Finlay. Well, if they want to be friends - that's fine...because on Nitro this week - Regal and his Blue Bloods would take care of all three of them! And this would be the week where Finlay pucked up and kissed Regal's royal boot.
(82%)

-Mabel & Doomsday (w/'The Taskmaster' Kevin Sullivan) vs. Mike Enos & Scott Borders: The Taskmaster brought this mammoth of a tag team down to the ring, causing Tenay and Hennig to discuss just how menacing this duo looked. Hennig had pit for Enos and Borders, because they had little chance against this team. Sure enough, this one was dominated by the monsters of the Three Faces of Fear. Now that Taskmaster has The Undertaker under his spell...are they still the Three Faces of Fear? Maybe we'll find that out soon...in any event, Enos ate a chokeslam from Doomsday while Borders got a falling splash from Mabel for the three count.
(65%)

-Backstage, Eddie Guerrero was with "Mean" Gene Okerlund. Guerrero discussed his chase of Arn Anderson's United States Title, and revealed that the championship committee had granted him a rematch for the title at Clash of the Champions. But Guerrero wanted to take issue with the Four Horsemen suddenly turning their attention to his little nephew, Chav Guerrero Jr. Guerrero said it was one thing to mess with him, but when you mess with a latino's family - you're asking for trouble. Guerrero said this would be his only warning to the Horsemen - do NOT mess with his la familia.
(74%)

Disco Inferno vs. Jake 'The Snake' Roberts: As the match got underway, we got more talk from Tenay and Hennig about how Roberts has 'turned over a new leaf' and is a changed man. Last week, The Snake's newfound spirit resulted in a couragous loss to the monster Giant - but tonight, the competition wasn't as stiff against the dancing fool Disco Inferno. Not to say Inferno was a pushover, because he got in some limited offense against Roberts which afforded him enough time to break out some disco moves...but as soon as Disco started his showboating, Roberts recovered and was on the attack. Roberts finished Disco off with the DDT to get the win.
(71%)

The Godwinns vs. Public Enemy: Public Enemy brought their standard table down to the ring, that had the names of Booker T, Stevie Ray, Scott Steiner, and Rick Steiner's names all written on it. Tenay reminded us that it was Public Enemy who was responsible for Harlem Heat winning the tag titles back from the Steiner Brothers - and they don't feel they've been given a fair shot that apparently they were promised. 'Don't bit the hand that feeds you' - Hennig said in regards to Harlem Heat going back on their promise. Johnny Grunge and Rocco Rock looked strong here against the former WWF tag team of the hillbilly Godwinns. Despite a hot tag to Phinneous, Rocco Rock made the save on a pinfall attempt and double teamed Phinneous when Henry tried to intervene, but only distracted the ref. Public Enemy hit Phinneous with the Drive By, allowing Rock to get the cover as Grunge took out Henry, allowing Public Enemy to get the victory.
(73%)

-After the match, Rocco Rock and Johnny Grunge set up the table and told the camera that it would be used to get the tag titles from either Harlem Heat OR The Steiner Brothers - they didn't care which team it would be! But out came Sister Sherri WITHOUT the tag team champions Harlem Heat. She had the microphone and asked if Public Enemy REALLY wanted a shot at Harlem Heat's tag titles. Rocco Rock and Johnny Grunge of course answered a definitive YES - but Sherri just laughed and said that there was NO CHANCE. She said that Public Enemy was a joke of a team and no one took them seriously. They would not only NEVER be tag team champions, but they would NEVER receive a title shot! Sherri gave a maniacal laugh before returning to the back while Rocco Rock and Johnny Grunge were clearly PO'd in the ring.
(68%)

MAIN EVENT: 'The Pearl River Powerhouse' Ahmed Johnson vs. Chris Benoit (w/Woman): We wrapped up the night with a true hard hitting, back and forth matchup. Benoit brought the stiff chops to Johnson's huge upperbody, but Johnson absorded it and began using his power to take control of the match. But Benoit fought back thanks to some distraction from Woman at ringside. However, when Benoit went for the Swandive Headbutt, Johnson rolled out of the way. The crowd was solidly behind Johnson as he retook control and seemed to have the momentum going his way...until Steve 'Mongo' McMichael brought Debra McMichael and Mark Henry down to the ring. Debra distracted the referee as Mark Henry attacked Johnson from behind! HUGE POWERSLAM from Henry to Johnson followed by a falling splash! Henry rolled out of the ring, rejoining an exuberant Mongo while Benoit slowly got to his feet. Benoit climbed the turnbuckles and this time connected with his Swandive Headbutt! Benoit with the cover - One, Two, Three! Chris Benoit picks up the big win in tonight's main event with a big assist from Steve 'Mongo' McMichael and the Montourage.
(82%)

-WCW Saturday Night came to a close as Steve 'Mongo' McMichael celebrated in the aisle with Debra while Mark Henry gave a super serious, intense stare towards the ring.

WWF Superstars
June 8th, 1996
Your Hosts: Michael Cole & Ted DiBiase

- Our announcers say we have a HUGE main event as the Smoking Gunns team up with the Native American Tatanka against the Hart Foundation! But first, tag team action...

Pitchard Fighting Systems vs. Doug Furnas & Phillip LaFon
This is more or less an exhibition for the PFS as they dismantle their opponents with Salvatore Sincere topping things off with a full nelson slam.
(58-55-75)

- Following their win, Dr. Tom talks the duo up and says that Salvatore Sincere was a LOSER. But the man before them is the REAL man. He's the real deal. He's 'Terrific' Tom Brandi! He tells Bradshaw he'll regret having crossed the 'good doctor' and the duo leave after those cryptic words.
(64)

- We are backstage with Todd, whose standing next to Kimberly. Pacing behind them is Brutus Beefcake as Todd asks how the tandem is handling their issues with Diamond Dallas Page. Will is be a distraction? Kim says it won't. She's done with DDP and is focused on making Brutus into a star in this business. She tells us that tonight he has a big match against Kama and it'll be the start of a turn around for Beefcake. Brutus cuts in now and says that Page needs to back off! He says that Kimberly is his now and he needs to get over it! Kimberly seems offended and Brutus apologizes, saying he didn't mean for it to come out the way it did. The two than head to the ring, but there is clearly some tension here! Is DDP getting to this pair?
(92)

Brutus 'The Barber' Beefcake w/ Kimberly vs. 'Supreme Fighting Machine' Kama w/ Irwin R. Schyster

These two have an entertaining brawl as their skills compliment each other well. Kama often uses his buddy IRS, but Beefcake manages to hold his own and keeps and advantage to the point where he even has time to knock IRS off the apron! He seems poised for victory late, but as he sets up for the Cutter DDP comes out of nowhere and nails a Diamond Cutter! The dastardly DDP let's a wry smile creep across his face as he blows a kiss to Kim while Kama makes the cover for the easy 3.
(64-67-78)

- We have another vignette with Chaz& Thrasher. Chaz tells us that the two are going to be in a Raw ring soon. In fact, they are set to step into Raw next Tuesday night! Thrasher adds they are pumped to party with all the WWF fans and that he knows the two of them are going to rock their way all the way to the top of Raw!
(59)

- We get a promo with the far happier Hart Foundation. Owen is all smiles as he tells Pillman and Bulldog he KNEW he could mend their relationship! He knew gold would unite them and they will show even more unity when they beat the cowboys and Indians tonight! Pillman says he never doubted Owen and even Bulldog grudgingly admits that he was wrong. Perhaps he can accept Pillman as an ally and for the good of the family he can let things slide. Owen is thrilled and says the trio are stronger than ever and they will show it tonight!
(85)

- Just before the main event we get a promo with 'The Bad Guy' Razor Ramon. He says that on Raw the 'Big Nosed Blue Blood' got a lucky brake and beat him. He says he's a man of his word and will give Hunter a title shot but that he'll regret getting what he wished for. Razor is not a guy who you want to take from and he promises to show HHH exactly what happens when you mess with the bad guy!
(88)

The Hart Foundation (Owen Hart, British Bulldog & Brian Pillman) vs. Tatanka & The Smoking Gunns

We get a solid bout here as the Hart Foundation show surprising chemistry. The Gunns and Tatanka keep pace though and the two tandems share a solid 13 minute main event here. Bart almost wins it with a late game changing DDT but Owen manages to break up a pinfall on Brian Pillman. The end comes with surprising miscommunication as it's the brothers Billy & Bart who gets mixed up, Bart having his irish whip reversed and getting a big kick to the back of the head before he stumbles into an Enziguri that gives Owen and the Foundation the 3 and a win! Can anyone stop this group's roll?

WCW Monday Nitro
June 10, 1996
Announcers: Tony Shiavone & Bobby 'The Brain' Heenan

-We get a recap of last week's ending that saw Ric Flair reveal that Nitro's representative on the Championship Committee was none other than former Horseman - James J. Dillon.

-Tony Shiavone welcomed us to the show and announced that Championship Committee members James J. Dillon was in attendance tonight and so were all of the Horsemen. Elsewhere tonight, Schiavone promised more matches to be made for next week's super Nitro card, Clash of the Champions. They also revealed that WCW Champion 'Macho Man' Randy Savage was NOT scheduled to be here tonight due to a family emergency.

-'The Man of 1,000 Holds' Dean Malenko & Rey Mysterio vs. Ultimo Dragon & Taka Michinoku (w/Sony Oono): This match was mainly here to build towards next week's Cruiserweight Title Match that would put champion Malenko defending against Ultimo Dragon. Both teams work together well, but the crowd just wasn't that into the action...shame on them. Rey Mysterio found himself the 'face in peril' during the tag match, but after catching Ultimo off the ropes with a flying headscissor take down, he finally got the opening he needed to make the tag to Malenko. Dragon also got the tag to Michinoku, who ran into a double leg takedown from Malenko. Malenko made short work of Michinoku from here, and soon had him turned over in the Texas Cloverleaf! Michinoku tapped, giving the victory to Malenko & Mysterio!
(70%)

-Malenko and Rey Mysterio celebrated in the ring, but from the aisle - Ultimo Dragon stood with Sony Oono, staring down his opponent for next week. Dragon gave a cut throat motion to Malenko as Nitro cut to the back.

-Backstage, a WCW official was seen telling Chavo Guerrero Jr that he was wanted in the ring. Chavo seemed confused, but started to head towards the ring as we headed to break.

-As we come back from the break, Chavo Guerrero Jr. is already in the ring, talking to the WCW referee in the ring about what exactly he was doing out there. Shiavone and Heenan were also clueless, but Heenan wondeblue if Chavo's work visa was up. It wasn't too long before we had our answer as United States Champion 'The Enforcer' Arn Anderson made his way down to the ring with Woman by his side. Anderson climbed into the ring and got right in Chavo's face. Anderson introduced himself to Chavo since he was 'new' around here - but Chavo knew who he was and Chavo insulted Anderson by referencing how his 'Uncle Eddie' should be US Champion right now. Anderson gave a coy laugh before putting his hand on Chavo's shoulder and saying he should watch what he says...because J.J has put Chavo in singles action RIGHT NOW against The Enforcer! Anderson then caught Chavo off guard with a knee to the midsection and Anderson told the referee to start the match!
(88%)

-Chavo Guerrero Jr. vs. 'The Enforcer' Arn Anderson (w/Woman): With Anderson cheap shotting Guerrero before the start of the match, Anderson was all over him from the start. Guerrero tried to mount a comeback, but Anderson quickly put a stop to that. SPINEBUSTER from Anderson wrapped this one up pretty easily for Anderson. The three count sealed the deal and gave the win to the US Champion.
(70%)

-Anderson wasn't done yet...and soon he was joined by Jeff Jarrett and Chris Benoit in the ring. Suddenly it was a three on one to the fallen Chavo. That is until Eddie Guerrero sprinted down to the ring armed with a chair! Anderson headed for higher ground as Guerrero slid into the ring and connected with a chair to Benoit's midsection. He swung at Jarrett, but Jarrett ducked and slid out of the ring. As the Horsemen regrouped, they were joined at the top of the ramp by Ric Flair and James J. Dillon.

-Eddie Guerrero took the microphone and he said he gave the Horsemen a warning - you don't mess with 'La Familia.' Flair also had a microphone and told Guerrero that they had 'humoblue' him long enough - and it was time for Guerrero to be put in his place. Flair said that he hated to be the 'bearer of bad news' - but he is not a top star in WCW. He does not deserve a spot in the ring against the Horsemen. J.J. Dillon agreed - but said that if Guerrero wanted to keep sticking his nose in Horsemen business - he would let the Horsemen put him in his place. That's why later tonight, Dillon is putting Guerrero in the ring in a HANDICAP MATCH against Ric Flair and Jeff Jarrett! In the ring, Guerrero showed his frustration as he slammed the chair against the turnbuckle while Flair and Jarrett both smirked as they liked what they heard.
(72%)

-'The Belfast Bruiser' Fit Finlay & The Bushwackers vs. Lord Steven Regal & The Blue Bloods: The on-going saga of Finaly and Regal continued tonight as Finaly joined forces with the dimwitted Bushwackers to take on Regal and his Blue Bloods. Finlay, Butch, and Luke rallied the crowd early and were absorbing the attacks from Taylor and Eaton. The momentum of the faces was squashed after Eaton distracted the referee long enough for Regal to use a low blow to Butch. Regal isoalted Butch in the Blue Bloods corner and the trio began taking turns working him over. Butch would eventually rally and take out Taylor with a clothesline and make the hot tag to Finlay. Finlay came in and the powerhouse took out all three members of the Blue Bloods with stiff left hand punches. Very quickly this one broke down into an all out brawl with all 6 men brawling in the ring. It seemed like the faces were on a roll as they cleablue the ring of all the Blue Bloods except Regal. Luke and Butch went for a double clothesline to Regal, but Regal ducked and they accidentally hit Finlay! Finlay hit the mat and Taylor and Eaton were back and took out Luke and Butch. The referee was busy trying to clear up the brawl at ringside that he did not see Regal slipping on his brass knuckles as Finlay staggeblue to his feet. Regal clocked Finlay with a brass knuckle assisted punch! Finlay hit the mat out cold and Regal took advantage, picking up the pinfall over Finlay!
(63%)

-Regal quickly darted out of the ring as Luke and Butch returned to the ring. Regal regrouped with the Blue Bloods, who lifted up Regal's arms in victory.

-After a commercial break, the ring was set up for Piper's Pit. Our host 'Rowdy' Roddy Piper made his way out and warmed the crowd up briefly before revealing his guest for tonight as a living legend in this business, much like the Rowdy-one himself. Piper said he and this man go way back - and they haven't always been on the best of terms - Piper introduced us to Jake 'The Snake' Roberts!

-Jake made his way down to the ring to a warm reaction from the crowd. Roberts said that he has mentioned recently of the 'dark times' he went through - and he wanted to come clean to all his fans of just what demons he has been battling over the years. He revealed that for years he has been battling with drinking problems and other 'harder' addictions that had sent him down a 'very' dark path through the years. He had burnt a lot of bridges - turned his back on a lot of close friends...and truly earned the reputation as 'The Snake.' Thanks to help from some friends like Roddy Piper here, Roberts was able to realize that he was not only hurting himself - but the people around him as well. He doesn't want to be known as 'The Snake' anymore - because that life is behind him. He's a changed man and doesn't want to be associated with 'darkness' anymore.

-Almost on cue, the lights in the arena dimmed and out came 'The Taskmaster' Kevin Sullivan with urn in hand and The Undertaker following closely behind. Piper and Roberts both backed off as The Taskmaster and The Undertaker climbed into the ring. Taskmaster took the microphone and gave a demonic laugh as he admited his disappointment in Roberts. Taskmaster said that 'The Snake' persona IS Jake Roberts, and that he would never be able to rid himself of 'The Snake.' It was 'The Snake' persona that made Roberts a name in this industry - and without, he would be nothing. The Taskmaster told Roberts that if he wants to stay in this business - he's going to have to embrace his dark side...not try to hide it. Because that's all he's doing...covering it up. Because the darkness will never leave him.

-Piper decided to stick up for Roberts, telling Sullivan that this was no business of his. Piper called Roberts a 'friend' and that after all he's been through, they finally broke through to him and changed his life for the better. Piper revealed that Roberts had amended his broken relationship with his father and his own children. Piper was NOT going to let some sociopath come in and ruin all those people's lives. Sullivan laughed and told Piper that all he did was brainwash Roberts into being something he's not. Piper struck back and told Taskmaster he was one to talk about 'brainwashing' people. Sullivan told Piper he had a lot of nerve to talk to the man who held the power of the Undertaker in the palm of his hand. With one command, Piper would find himself six feet under. Jake Roberts held Piper back, and said he would handle this battle. Taskmaster said it wouldn't be necissary - he wasn't out here for a fight tonight. He just wanted to let Roberts know that just like for years no one could trust 'The Snake' - Sullivan knows you can't trust Piper either. And that Roberts will be nothing without 'The Snake.' Sullivan told Roberts to keep that in mind...and watch his back as long as he was calling Piper his 'friend.'

-With that, the Undertaker's gongs hit again and Sullivan led 'The Deadman' to the back without incident while Roberts was left in the ring trying to calm Piper down.
(77%)

Scott Steiner (w/Rick Steiner) vs. Booker T (w/Stevie Ray & Sister Sherri): After a lengthy Piper's Pit segment - we are back in the ring after the commercial break as one half of the tag champions Booker T went into singles competition against former tag champion Scott Steiner. Next week, these two teams would meet for the Tag Team Titles at Clash of the Champions. As usual, these guys all have a lot of experience in the ring with one another and tend to have good chemistry in the ring. After a hot start by Steiner, a distraction from Sherri and Stevie Ray allowed Booker T to retake control. Booker T picked up several nearfalls over Steiner, but Steiner kept right on kicking out, much to the dismay of both Booker T and his cohorts at ringside. Eventually Booker T's attempt of a Harlem Side kick would be avoided by Steiner, who followed up with an Exploder Suplex to Booker T. Suddenly Steiner was riding a wave of momentum that saw him eventually set Booker T up on the top turnbuckle. This brought Stevie Ray to the apron, but Rick Steiner pulled him down! Rick had Stevie tied up, allowing Scott to hit the FRANKENSTEINER to Booker T! Scott Steiner hooked Booker T's leg - One, Two, Three!
(75%)

-The Steiner Brothers get a big singles victory over the tag champs this week - could their momentum carry over into next week's title match?

-Backstage, "Mean" Gene Okerlund was standing by with Marty Jannetty who last week was on the losing end not only in the ring, but apparently in the eyes of Goldust who had previously been building Jannetty up as his 'star.' Okerlund wanted Jannetty's take on what happened with Goldust - Jannetty called himself a fool for actually thinking Goldust was trying to help make Jannetty better and make Jannetty a star. In walked Goldust who said that the only fool here was actually Goldust - for THINKING Jannetty could be a star. Goldust said that he should've known better...as it turns out, there was really only one 'star' in the Rockers. And Goldust had a feeling that for YEARS down the road, anytime a successful tag team comes along, they will be wondering who is the SHAWN MICHAELS of the tag team and who will be the MARTY JANNETTY of the tag team...washed up and forgotten about one that team ends. That was enough to push Jannetty over the edge, as he lunged forward and connected with a right hand to Goldust's jaw. Goldust fought back and their backstage brawl was quickly broken up by WCW officials.

-'The Pearl River Powerhouse' Ahmed Johnson vs. The Giant (w/'The Taskmaster' Kevin Sullivan): After the confrontation with Piper and Jake Roberts, Kevin Sullivan brought his other 'Face of Fear' - The Giant down to the ring to take on the Peal River Powerhouse Ahmed Johnson. Schaivone brought up that it's not very often Ahmed Johnson finds himself outmached in the size and power department - but he was definitely the underdog here. That being said, Johnson took the fight right to the big man, but soon The Giant had Johnson down and unleashed his slow plodding assault onto the brick house that is Ahmed Johnson. But Johnson was not giving in, no matter how much punishment The Giant brought to him. The crowd rallied behind Johnson and he began to work his way to his feet and even began to rock The Giant with some hard right hands and staggeblue him with some clothesline. A running shoulder tackle from Johnson finally brought The Giant off his feet! Could Johnson pull off the upset here....not if Steve 'Mongo' McMichaels had anything to say about it! Mongo came from the back and slid into the ring with his haliburton briefcase, but Johnson ducked an attack and took Mongo out with a shoulder tackle of his own! Mongo rolled out of the ring to safety as Johnson turned around into the large hand of the Giant...CHOKESLAM! Giant with the cover - One, Two, Three!
(75%)

-As Mongo headed up the ramp, he was met by the entire 'Montourage' of Debra McMichael, Clarence Mason, and Mark Henry. As Ahmed Johnson got to his feet, he stablue up the ramp and demanded the microphone. He said he was tiblue of Mongo always getting involved with his matches...next week at Clash of the Champions, he wanted Mongo in the ring - one on one! Mongo took the microphone and told Johnson to slow his roll...he's already proved himself in the ring against Johnson...but if he really wants another shot at Mongo, he can take on MARK HENRY next week! Mongo gave Henry a pat on the back as Henry nodded his head with a sadistic grin. Johnson shook his head in frustration as the Montourage returned to the back.
(76%)

-Tony Shiavone and Bobby Heenan ran down the confirmed line up for next week's Clash of the Champions card.

-Just announced: Fit Finlay and Lord Steven Regal will meet in a Falls Count Anywhere match!
-As we just witnessed, Ahmed Johnson will step into the ring against the Montourage's Mark Henry!
-Dean Malenko will defend the WCW Cruiserweight Title against Ultimo Dragon
-The WCW Tag Team Titles will be on the line as Harlem Heat defends against the former champions The Steiner Brothers
-Eddie Guerrero will get another shot at the US Title as he takes on champion Arn Anderson
-And finally the WCW World Title will be on the line in this King of the Ring rematch that will put King of the Ring Jeff Jarrett as the special referee as 'The Nature Boy' Ric Flair tries to regain the WCW World Title from 'The Macho Man' Randy Savage.

MAIN EVENT: Eddie Guerrero vs. 'The Nature Boy' Ric Flair and Jeff Jarrett (w/Woman): Guerrero looked unsure of himself as he climbed into the ring to take on half of the Four Horsemen by his lonesome. Guerrero and Jarrett started the match out as the legal men - and it was Guerrero using his speed to get the upperhand early against Jarrett. Needing a breather, Jarrett got the tag to Flair - but Guerrero was still riding the adrenaline and even had the former champion on the ropes. Flair would eventually get a thumb to the eye to slow Guerrero down and allow the Horsemen to take control. Flair and Jarrett took turns working over Guerrero. Everything was going smoothly for Jarrett and Flair until their egos began to get the best of them as Jarrett kept insisting that he be the one to get the pinfall on Flair - while Flair insisted it should be him since he was 'the leader.' This started to turn into more arguing between Flair and Jarrett as Woman tried to calm them down. This allowed Guerrero to recover...Guerrero shoved Jarrett into Flair! Flair fell off the apron and Guerrero rolled up Jarrett - ONE, TWO, THRE...Jarrett kicked out! Guerrero took Jarrett back down with a dropkick before hitting him with a brainbuster! Guerrero went to the top to go for the Frog Splash, but Flair shoved Guerrero off the ropes! As Jarrett got to his feet, Flair tagged himself in. Flair hit a recovering Guerrero from behind with a chopblock to take Guerrero down. Flair then wrapped up Guerrero in the middle of the ring with the Figure Four! Guerrero tried to fight it off, but with no one to help him or make the tag to - he tapped out!
(79%)

-The referee lifted up Flair's arm in victory after the match, but Jarrett came over and pulled the referee away. Jarrett wasn't happy about Flair tagging himself in and was right in Flair's face. Woman quickly seperated the duo and managed to have cooler heads prevail. She lifted up both of their arms and the duo soaked in the boos from the crowd. Tony Shiavone plugged Clash of the Champions next week one last time as next week Randy Savage WOULD be on hand and the WCW World Title would be on the line!

WWF Tuesday Night Raw
June 12th, 1996
Announcers: Jim Ross & 'Million Dollar Man' Ted DiBiase

- The show opens with CHAOS!~ as we see Lex Luger brawling backstage with Vader! The scene pans back to show Hulk Hogan and the big One Man Gang as well as road agents and other officials come in and try to drag them all apart.
(85%)

- Eventually the representative from WCW Eric Bischoff emerges. He tells the 4 men to settle down. He has an idea. If they want each other so bad, they will get it! At the Great American Bash it'll be Hulk Hogan and Lex Luger taking on Vader and One Man Gang! The fans cheer as Hogan asks them what they are gonna do and we see the Raw intro.
(79%)

The Headbangers vs. Fire & Ice

We finally see the debut of Chaz & Thasher who come out in skirts and torn up t-shirts to some grunge/rock sounding music. Chaz has a large boombox over his shoulder and the team seem happy to dance and 'mosh' with the crowd. Their opponents seem less than amused, although Ice Train does do a little dance before getting serious as the match starts. This isn't nearly as one sided as you'd think as JR says Fire & Ice are a serious tag team threat and their power is hard to stop. After a solid and even bout it's the new boys to the wrestling scene who manage to win when Chaz reverses an attempted superplex from Ice Train and than comes off the top with a flipping senton called the Stage Dive which gets the three!

The Headbangers celebrate with more moshing and ask Norton and Train to join in, with Norton refusing to do much until Ice Train finally convinces him to do the robot to the crowds delight.
(64/50/78)

- We are backstage where Hunter Hearst Helmsley has an arrogant smirk on his face as he stands next to Todd Pettengill and the Amazonian Chyna. Todd asks for his thoughts on Razor accepting a title match for the Great American Bash. Hunter says it's just as he planned. You see, he is a great American. American royalty really, and what better time to show off his talent than at the Bash. He promises to teach Razor a lesson is respect and bring some much needed class and etiquette to the IC title. Two things his opponent tonight, Duke Droese, could also use a lesson on!
(76%)

Hunter Hearst Helmsley w/ Chyna vs. Duke 'The Dumpster' Droese

DiBiase and JR go over these men's long feud in 1995 and that the two faced as recently as this years royal Rumble. It's a good brawl as Duke shows he can hang with the blue blood. Chyna turns the tides at various times until Razor Ramon saunters out decked in a Hawaiian shirt and, of course, gold. His mere presence distracts Hunter who yells at him to take him on. The distraction let's Duke recover and when Helmsley charges back the trash man is ready as he scoops him up and nails the Trash Compactor! The fans cheer as Duke covers and manage to steal an upset three!

Duke celebrates at ringside as we see Chyna checking on a recovering Hunter as Razor merely goes 'oops' to the crowds delight.
(73/70/76)

- We are backstage with Johnny B. Badd. Badd says he's asked for this time to explain last week. He says he lost his cool, but the King tried to drag his family into this. Instead, he's going to one up the King... and bring his wife in himself! He asks her to come over and a beautiful blonde bombshell arrive in a latex catsuit that certainly seems to impress JR and DiBiase. Badd says this is Rena and from now on where he goes, she will follow. Rena chimes in and says she's ready to support her man 100% and promises to enjoy every minute of him kicking the King's ASS!
(91%)

Johnny B. Badd, Fatu & Haku w/ Rena vs. The Dungeon Of Doom (Big Bossman Rogers, The Shark & Hugh Morrus)

The 'B-Team' of the Doomers has had issues with former member Meng (Now going once again by Haku) and it's lead to this 3 on 3 bout. This is a decent if not slightly under whelming match as the fans rally behind Badd and the Samoans. The extended period of Doom domination ends when Haku manages a big savate kick before making the hot tag to Badd! The TV champion is a house of fire and Haku & Fatu help him get isolated with The Shark. He avoids a big corner splash and nails his big left hook, but as he climbs up for the Badd Day Moonsault, Jerry Lawler appears at ringside and starts stalking towards Rena! Badd has seen enough and hits a crazy sunset flip over the top onto Lawler! He seems a little hurt by it and when he manages to get back in the ring Shark takes full advantage with a massive side belly to belly suplex before he runs off the ropes and nails the Shark Bomb (Seated Senton) for the 3.

Badd is clearly debilitated as Rena slides in and checks on him, Lawler smiling deviously from the ring floor.
(68/66/71)

We go backstage again where we see Brutus Beefacke is in catering. He's talking to a stage hand when he's suddenly blasted from behind with a metal tray! He falls down as his attacker is revealed to be DDP! Page says he's going to teach Beefcake a lesson in respect. One for him... and for Kim! He hits Beefcake a few more times before Kimberly runs onto the scene. She tells him to back off, going so far as to cover Beefcake as DDP raises his tray. He pauses than throws it away, telling the 'doll' he'll play nice for her, but eventually he'll get the Barber on his own and make him feel... the... BANG!
(79%)

- We are in t he pit again as Todd Pettengill is with the world champion Shawn Michaels. Shawn's in street clothes and says he loves having a day off. But what he loves more is seeing Big Daddy Cool getting a whoppin' from the man to his side. Onto the screen walks Sting, who let's out a big woo and says Shawn is right. Last week he helped the Heart Break Kid and he HATES seeing injustice! He says Diesel may think he can push smaller guys around, but Sting doesn't get bullied! Instead he's going to main event. He's going to take Diesel to a height even the giant hasn't reached before. Tonight? It's SHOWTIME!
(84%)

'The Man They Call' Sting w/ 'HBK' Shawn Michaels vs. 'Big Daddy Cool' Diesel w/ Syco Sid

The crowd is red hot for this, as Diesel is probably the most hated man on Tuesday night's. Sting has a strong set of supporter as well, as he acknowledges them with a hearty 'WOO' before the match gets underway. These two slug it out, but clearly that gives Diesel an early edge as he overpowers the Stinger and gets him corner. Once there he hit s some heavy back elbows before taking a step and driving in one last hard one. He scoops Sting up for Snake Eyes but Sting slips down his back and hooks him up for the Scorpion Death Drop! Diesel quickly drops out though and rolls out, talking with Sid at ringside. Sting isn't one to wait though as he rushes over and hits a suicide dive into both men! Another 'woo' follows before Sting rolls Diesel into the ring and covers for a long two. Sting now starts wearing down the tree trunk legs of Diesel, but Big Daddy Cool manages to hang tough before getting momentum back with a big sidewalk slam. After a period of dominance he finally hits the snake eyes and than a big boot. He pulls a single strap down and raises his hand, pointing at HBK with the other as he sets Sting up for the Jacknife. Sting counters however as he trips Diesel and starts applying the Scorpion Deathlock! Diesel is in real trouble and Sid enters the ring, but here comes HBK who tackles him off the apron. It's a wild brawl at ringside as Diesel starts tapping out, but the ref is trying to get control of ringside. Sting doesn't even see it and releases his hold to celebrate his 'win'. Once he sees what's happening at ringside he quickly runs over and hits a big double axe handle onto Sid off the apron! He than high fives Shawn before entering the ring. The official is still trying to get control and the distraction let's Diesel hit a big low blow before he hooks Sting up and nails the Jacknife! He stares right at HBK with a smile as the ref counts the 1-2-3.
(86/93/71)

- He keeps staring as Shawn and Diesel talk some trash before a recovered Sid hits HBK across the back with a steel chair! Michael drops to his knees in pain as Sid follows with another couple shots. Diesel leaves the ring and yells at HBK that he's feeling 'nostalgic' as he grabs the hurt champion, lifts him up and drives him through the ringside announce table! The fans are shocked and Sid & Diesel looked own at the broken WWF champion whose lying in a heap of table as the show comes to a close.

WCW Saturday Night
June 15, 1996
Hosts: 'The Professor' Mike Tenay & 'Mr. Perfect' Curt Hennig

-Tenay & Hennig welcome us to the show and immediately begin hyping up Monday's 'Clash of the Champions' Nitro which will be headlined by the rematch from King of the Ring: Randy Savage defending the WCW Title for the first time against the man he beat Ric Flair - but the deck was stacked against the champion because the special guest referee would be Flair's stablemate in the Horsemen - Jeff Jarrett. And speaking of the Horsemen, Chris Benoit would be in action tonight in the main event against the so-called 'Mexican Heavyweight Champion' Konnan.

-Rob Van Dam vs. Juventud Guerrera: We kick things off with cruiserweight action, as two young talents were showcased. Rob Van Dam was making his WCW 'return' after a brief stint as 'Robbie V' in the company in 1992. Tenay informed us that since his brief work in WCW a few years ago, he had been working in Japan and really brought his game up a lot since then. Meanwhile, the masked luchadore Juventud Guerrera has also been praised for his work in Mexico. After a good back and forth, fast paced match that saw lots of nearfalls between both men, it was Rob Van Dam who would pick up the clean victory tonight with a leaping spinning sidekick that Tenay dubbed the 'Van Daminator.'
(65%)

-Backstage, 'Mean' Gene Okerlund was standing by with Public Enemy. The duo had a few things to say to Harlem Heat and Sister Sherri with the way they have been denied a shot at the tag titles despite their agreement when P.E. helped Harlem Heat take the titles off the Steiner Brothers. Rocco Rock and Johnny Grunge assured us that they would be getting a title shot one way or another - and promised to take things TO THE EXTREME and get ROWDY - there was no stoppin' them now - they would make their prescense known at Clash of the Champions whether Harlem Heat OR the Steiner Brothers liked it...OR NOT.
(71%)

-The Bushwhackers vs. Public Enemy: After the promo, P.E. was in action against the dimwitted Bushwhackers. The Bushwhackers had the fan support, but it was Rocco Rock and Johnny Grunge who had something to prove tonight and wrestled like they did. Luke and Butch would briefly rally a comeback, but the P.E. quickly put a stop to that. The Drive By put Butch away for the three count.
(70%)

-'Hacksaw' Jim Duggan vs. The Giant (w/'The Taskmaster' Kevin Sullivan): The Taskmaster brought The Giant down to the ring, but it was Monday's confrontation between Taskmaster's latest conquest - The Undertaker, Jake 'The Snake Roberts and Roddy Piper that Tenay and Hennig spent most of the time talking about. The Giant has taken a backseat to Taker since Sullivan acquired the urn - but tonight it was all about his domination. Duggan's slow attack did little to stop The Giant. He pretty much had his way with Duggan and put him away with the Chokeslam for the victory.
(77%)

-Backstage, Konnan was standing by with 'Mean' Gene. Konnan proclaimed himself the 'Mexican Heavyweight Champion' once again, and even had the belt with him once again to prove it. He ranted on about the Horsemen and how no one in Mexico even knows who the Horsemen are...Konnan calls himself the 'Ric Flair' of Mexico, and that tonight he would make Benoit tap out to the Tequila Sunrise - ORALE!
(70%)

-Devon Storm vs. Steve 'Mongo' McMichael (w/The Montourage): Mongo was accompanied as usual by his wife Debra, his attorney Clarence Mason, and his bodyguard Mark Henry. This match was mainly used to put over Mongo while hyping up the behemoth Mark Henry's match against Ahmed Johnson on Nitro this week. Mongo had his way with the youngster Storm and finished him off with a 3 point stance into a shoulder tackle before hitting the Mongo Spike for the three count.
(51%)

-We get a promo from King of the Ring Jeff Jarrett who was hyping up this week's Nitro 'Clash of the Champions' main event match between Ric Flair and Randy Savage for the WCW Title. Jarrett will be the special referee in that match - and many people have been asking him if he's going to call the match down the middle. Jarrett scoffed at people who accused him of being biased - he assured us that he is a man of integrity. He comes from RICH wrestling tradition...his father Jerry Jarrett would be rolling over in his grave, if he was dead, at the mere THOUGHT of Jarrett being biased. Besides, Flair won't need his help to put Savage away once and for all. So, in sumation - Jarrett promises a good, clean, FAIR fight as sure as his name is J-E-DOUBLE F J-A-DOUBLE R-E-DOUBLE T!
(75%)

MAIN EVENT: 'Mexican Heavyweight Champion' Konnan vs. 'The Crippler' Chris Benoit (w/Woman): The crowd wasn't sure who to root for here, but eventually got behind Konnan by default. Benoit was a machine early on, dominating the offense against Konnan and wearing him down. But Konnan rallied with some exuberant offense that helped get the crowd behind him in his comeback. It looked like he might even put Benoit away after hitting a facebuster - but Woman put Benoit's foot on the ropes before the three count goulc be made. Konnan argued with the referee, which only allowed Benoit to recover and hit a release German Suplex to Konnan from behind. This became Konnan's downfall, and Benoit would go on to pick up the victory after his Swandive Headbutt. Benoit picked up the three count for the win.

WWF Superstars
June 15th, 1996
Your Hosts: Michael Cole & Ted DiBiase

- Cole and DiBiase hype up the show, promising a great Main Event which will see Hunter Hearst Helmsley in a rematch with Duke Droese!

'The Portugese Man O' War' Aldo Montoya vs. Disco Inferno
Disco is making his Raw debut, but the result is similar to his last stint on WCW TV. Aldo controls the match and grabs a win when he nails a big implant DDT. Once again he asks Kid to give him 'Another shot' as Cole wonders if the Kid will accept.
(64/53/75)

- We are backstage with Hunter Hearst Helmsley & his partner in crime Chyna. Hunter says that tonight, he plans to school Duke and teach him a lesson. Raw was an abomination and perversion of justice. He promises to make it 'right' and put the garbage man in his place.
(77)

The Headbangers vs. Doug Furnas & Phil LaFon

This is one way traffic with the new faces Chaz & Thrasher taking the easy W. After their win they once again celebrate by dancing and moshing with the crowd at ringside.
(62/49/75)

- Backstage again with Diamond Dallas Page. DDP tells us that he's so pumped. He's so hyped. He says he's getting ready to finally finish off Beefcake, but he has a special announcement to make on Raw. He's got one big challenge for Brutus and he's begging him to show up and accept!
(76)

Diamond Dallas Page vs. Doug Gilbert

Gilbert is put over as a promising youngster from the Gilbert family, a legendary group in Memphis. Despite the hype he doesn't get much hope here as DDP let's him get his shots in but ultimately tops him off with the Diamond Cutter for the three.
(65/63/67)

- Backstage again as Jerry Lawler tells us that his war on WCW is just starting. He tells us that he was going to bring Rena in because he needed to do what it took. He continues his claim that WCW is conspiring to kill the WWF and that he will 'liberate' the TV title at any cost. Rena was just a psyhological tool to fight for the WWF's survival! He promises to keep coming at Badd and that he won't stop until he has the TV title!
(79)

- We get a quick shot of Duke Droese stretching a little before he grabs his garbage can and lid. Our main event is next!
(68)

Hunter Hearst Helmsley w/ Chyna vs. Duke 'The Dumpster' Dorese

These two have a solid match again, with Duke keeping pace with the blue blood while Hunter takes whatever shortcuts are required to stay in the bout. After a solid 8 minutes the end comes when Chyna slides the trash lid into the ring and distracts the official. Taking full advantage, Hunter grabs it and pop an unsuspecting Duke before he picks up his KO'd body and nails the Pedigree for the three.

Newswire

- There has reportedly been a shifting of talent from Nitro to Raw. It seems prospects Adam Copeland and Jason Reso (Christian Cage) have been slotted onto the Monday side of development while Raw has gained the Disco Inferno and the soon to debut Rocky Maivia. What capcity Maivia will debut in is unclear, but it's suspected Disco will continue to act as enhancement talent for the time being.

- Rumors are that the Raw brand will see Jesse James back on TV soon and creative have plans for the promising youngster. James hasn't been seen on TV since his days as Jeff Jarrett's lackey, but it seems the new WCW management are pretty high on him.

- Jerry Saggs is apparently doing well in rehab. It's good news for Brian Kobbs, whose been floundering without his tag partner and could certainly use his presence back on Tuesday Night's.

- Rena Mero was brought onto TV at the behest of Johnny B. Badd himself. It seems he had been hoping for his wife to debut soon in the WWF and she's expected to take part in the current angle with Lawler and stay after that as well.

WCW Monday Nitro: Clash of the Champions
June 17, 1996
Your Hosts: Tony Shiavone & Bobby 'The Brain' Heenan

-After the Nitro opening and a pan around the audience, Tony Shiavone and Bobby Heenan welcome us to the show and begin running down the card - putting a lot of emphasis on the main event which would put Randy Savage defending the WCW World Title against Ric Flair with Jeff Jarrett as the special referee! Tonight, all the titles would be on the line because this was a special 'Clash of the Champions' edition of WCW Monday Nitro!

WCW Cruiserweight Championship: 'The Man of 1,000 Holds' Dean Malenko (c) vs. Ultimo Dragon (w/Sony Oono) And kicking things off would be our first title match of the evening as 'smarks' around the world were salivating at the idea of Malenko and Dragon stepping into the ring with one another. These two grappled brilliantly around the ring, trading hold for hold as both men exchanged brief advantages. The chain wrestling was great here and the crowd began to really get into it as Malenko turned Dragon over into the Texas Cloverleaf! But Dragon was resisting the tap out long enough for Sony Oono to jump on the apron! With the referee distracted, Taka Michinoku slid into the ring and attacked Malenko from behind! Malenko fought back against Michinoku, and sent him backing from the ring...but it was enough of a distraction to allow Dragon to sneak up behind Malenko and look him in the Dragon Sleeper! Malenko tried to fight it - but had no choice but to tap out when he realized there was no escape! The crowd booed loudly as Sony Oono climbed into the ring and presented the Japanese legend Ultimo Dragon with the WCW Cruiserweight Title!
(79%)

-After a great start to the show, we cut to the back where The Four Horsemen were busy preparing for a big night for everyone. Arn Anderson was preparing for his US Title defense against Eddie Guerrero later in the evening - but most of the focus was on Ric Flair as Jeff Jarrett was apparently going over a game plan with the champion. Flair interrupted Jarrett, and told him that he had been in this business long enough to know what to do in a title match. He told Jarrett to just worry about making the three count and doing everything in his power to make sure Savage did NOT walk out as champion. Jarrett appeared disgruntled by Flair's lack of interest in his 'planning' - but told Flair that he had nothing to worry about.
(89%)

-Marty Jannetty vs. Goldust: After spending the past couple of months trying to groom Marty Jannetty into a 'star' - Goldust has given up on what he has called a 'futile effort' - but Jannetty was not happy with how Goldust had made so many false promises. Could Jannetty make himself a star tonight by picking up a big upset victory over Goldust? He certainly put in the effort, picking up several nearfalls on the Gold One during the course of the match. However, a well timed low blow from Goldust was all Goldust needed to wear down Jannetty and finish him off with the Curtain Call. Goldust made the cover and got the three count victory over his former 'muse.'
(73%)

WCW Tag Team Championship Match: Harlem Heat (c) (w/Sister Sherri) vs. The Steiner Brothers: These two teams always compliment each other well, and this exchange was no different than their previous bouts. They brought the goods for this big time tag team title rematch. After a hot start from the challenging Steiner Brothers - Booker T and Stevie Ray were able to isolate Rick Steiner and make him the 'face in peril' for the match. The crowd kept rallying behind Rick, trying to give him the support he needed to make the hot tag. After ducking a double clothesline attempt from Booker T and Stevie Ray, Rick came off the ropes and laid out both champions with a double clothesline of his own! All three men were down...and just as Rick was about to make the hot tag....PUBLIC ENEMY hit the ringside area! Rocco Rock pulled Scott Steiner down off the apron and tossed him into the ring steps! The duo then climbed into the ring and began stomping on both Rick Steiner and both members of Harlem Heat! Sister Sherri was beside herself at ringside as The Public Enemy stomped a mudhole in Rick Steiner, Booker T, and Stevie Ray! The referee called for the bell, throwing the match out as a draw.
(79%)

-As the referee tried to restore order, things only got more chaotic as Rocco Rock brought a chair into the ring. Scott Steiner climbed into the ring, only to receive a chairshot from Rock. Rocco laid out Rick Steiner and Stevie Ray as well. Meanwhile, Johnny Grunge pulled a table out from under the ring and slid it in! They set the table up and rolled Booker T onto the table. The crowd continued to boo Public Enemy as they performed the DRIVE BY through the table onto Booker T! Rocco Rock tossed the chair down onto Scott Steiner as the duo left the ring to boos from the crowd - leaving both tag teams laid out in the ring.

-Backstage, Eddie Guerrero was performing his final warm ups before the United States Title match when World Champion Randy Savage entered the locker room to give Eddie Guerrero some last minute words of wisdom. He told Guerrero that he had more talent than all the members of the Horsemen combined and that tonight he would show the world he was a superstar in the making. OOHHH YEAH! Guerrero thanked Savage and promised to prove Savage to be correct.

WCW United States Championship Match: Arn Anderson (c) (w/Woman) vs. Eddie Guerrero: Another good match between these two, as Guerrero used his speed advantage early to get the upperhand on Anderson. Guerrero snuck in some roll ups and cradles to the veteran Anderson, but Anderson kept kicking out. Anderson finally caught Guerrero off the ropes with a powerslam to ground Guerrero and take advantage. Anderson worked over Guerrero's back for the majority of the match to set him up for a Spinebuster, but Guerrero proved to be very resiliant against Anderson. Anderson sent Guerrero into the ropes only to have Guerrero leapfrog Anderson and then drop Anderson with a dropkick. Guerrero had found his second wind, which was enough to bring Chris Benoit out from the back! Benoit climbed the apron only to be hit with a dropkick from Guerrero! But the brief distraction allowed Anderson to recover and lay out Guerrero with a clothesline. After laying out Guerrero with a brainbuster, Anderson sent Guerrero into the turnbuckle. Anderson sat Guerrero up on the top turnbuckle - but Guerrero fought Anderson off and was able to execute a Tornado DDT to Anderson! Guerrero crawled back to the corner and climbed the turnbuckles....FROG SPLASH to Anderson! One, Two, Three! Eddie Guerrero has defeated Arn Anderson to become the NEW United States Champion!

-Backstage, Jake Roberts had been watching the show on a monitor, when 'The Taskmaster' Kevin Sullivan approached Roberts. He said that this would be the ideal time to speak with Roberts, because the manipulative Roddy Piper wasn't around to play with Roberts mind. Sullivan repeated what he said last week - that Roberts needs to embrace 'The Snake' - not get rid of him. Roberts shook his head and told Sullivan that Piper was right - he had ruined not just his life but his family's lives as well. 'The Snake' was not a good person - Roberts just wants to be a good person. Sullivan shook his head in disgust as The Giant, Mabel, and Doomsday entered the shot and surrounded Roberts. Sullivan said that perhaps THEY could change his mind. Roberts, sensing danger, tried to fight his way out of the predicament - but the overwhelming odds of 3 monsters on 1 Roberts quickly put Roberts on the floor. Sullivan finally called the beats off, leaving Roberts lying prone on the floor.

Falls Count Anywhere: 'The Belfast Brawler' Fit Finlay vs. Lord Steven Regal: Regal was without his Blue Bloods tonight, and instead went mono-a-mono against the man who had been the vain of his existance the past couple of months, Fit Finlay. These two pulled no punches in this brawl that stayed in the ring only briefly. The two did battle at ringside, in the crowd, up the ramp, and even backstage - using whatever weapons they could find along the way. The end of the match came when the two battled their way back from backstage and back down the aisle. Finlay pulled a table out from under the ring and set it up at ringside before rolling Regal onto it. Finlay gave Regal a few blows to the chest before climbing onto the apron and then to the top turnbuckle! The crowd was on their feet as Finlay uncharacteristically took to the air with a splash off the top to ringside..but Regal rolled off the table and Finlay went crashing through the table!
