So I've always wanted to run one of these fo ra signifigant time. As such, this will feature yearly updates since in the end, that's all most people give a fuck about :shifty:. I've set a few personal rules to make the career a bit more challenging. - I must see any of the people I recruit in my first year through to the end of their college career's before I can switch jobs. Basically, anywhere I go I should stay for at least 4-5 seasons. - If I am fired, obviously this is a rule exception. - Also if I am fired, I can only take a job with an opening and at a school in a lower prestie conference (Unless I am already at a 1 prestige conference). - I am allowed to leave any job at anytime (And have to) if I am offered a job at my 'Alma Mater', which for this compo will be Cleveland State. - If I get a job at Cleveland State I can't leave it until I win an NCAA tournament game. My firs tjob cannot be at a school with a prestige in double digits since I am going to be coming from the CIS (Canadian College basketball) and as such am a 'unknown' in coaching cricles. I also need to try and find a team classified as a eastern school, or a school in Ohio. With that said, let's see where I end up... ---
Certainly a tough challenge. The default team is obviously horrible, but hopefully in a couple years we can be competitive in the MEAC. |

2011-2012 Summary: - It was a rough year fo rus although we did manage to squeeze aove .500 thanks to some big time cupcake scheduling (We finished with the 8th worst RPI despite being 16-14). Our defense apparently played well, but we might have just been getting beat so fast teams stopped trying. Outside the conference we went 11-2, but beat no teams with winning records (We didn't beat any all year actually). In the end we finished 10th and lost our first tournament game to Savannah State. Recruiting wise, things look bright. All 4 of my recruits are projected to be B to A from 3PT's right now and two are apparnetly 'All-American' level potential (Doubltful). Oddly while three are guards, one is a 6'10 230+ pound C who will apparnetly be able to stroke it well from 3. Too bad he can't rebound, but hopefully I'll adress that later. In the end our class was rated #276, but that is probably deceiving. Elsewhere the big suprprise of the year was Xavier reaching the NCAA finals (Although they were a 2 seed) and eventhough they lost, that has to encourage others. All in all a tough year, but hopefully as more and more of my guys get in, we will see better results (Especially in the conference). Record: 16-14 (5-11 In MEAC), 6-7 @ Home, 10-6 On the Road (WTF?). Edited by Hajjhowe, Mar 25 2012, 07:01 PM.

2012-13 Summary: Improvemtent! Despite starting all 4 of my freshmen, we actualy ended up 17-14 (9-7 in MEAC) good for 6th place. We even got past round 1 before losing to Coppin State. Actually did better in conference than out this season and hopefulyl with some better teammates and another TC we can start making a bit more noise in the MEAC. On the recruiting front we added two bigs (Albeit short ones) who will hopefully provide some rebounding and defense for our shooters. Speaking of, I also added a pair of guard shooters as well, although they are both pretty short (5'10 and 5'9). I'm hoping that this mash-up will lead to a solid and somewhat exciting team. Outside of us the big shock was TWO Mid-Majors crashing the Final 4 with Utah State and 9 seed Western Kentucky facing off in the National Semi's before the Aggies fell to #1 Texas. History was also made when Cal State Northridge shocked the world, upending 1 seed Kansas and becoming the first #16 to win (And than only losing by 3 to WKU). Also of note was College Of Charleston's Sweet 16 run. Record: 17-14 (9-7), 7-6 @ Home, 9-7 On The Road |
