The rules are simple: You pick 2 members out of this list, and the 2 who receive the most votes will be in the HOF. You may choose to give reasons for your voting or not, but please consider all candidates and don't jump to conclusions in voting. You must vote for 2 if you decide to vote. Voting ends next Thursday. Thanks! In addition, the stats site archive will be used for players pages who retired during the years available. 2030 Nominations Derrick Favors http://www.mchlclrk.com/old_ebl/2029/players/player539.htm Career stats: 1562 games (1st), 31613 points (6th), 18752 rebounds (1st), 3586 blocks (6th), 11868 FGs (6th), 7877 FTs (1st), 1071 double doubles (1st) The case for Derrick Favors: The best big man in EBL history, period. Is 1st in more categories (4) than any other player in EBL history. Was extremely durable, playing at least 67 games all 20 of his seasons. Nothing he couldn't do as a big man. The case against Derrick Favors: Was on many great teams but only got 1 title out of it. Terrence Jones http://www.mchlclrk.com/old_ebl/2027/players/player423.htm 3rd Nomination Career stats: 1290 games (12th), 18868 points (44th), 11547 rebounds (17th), 4921 assists (46th), 1479 steals (51st), 1150 blocks (70th), 6919 FGs (50th) The case for Terrence Jones: The most versatile player in EBL history. Not only could play 5 positions effectively in the same game, but did it at a high level (especially on defense). As the stats show, he did everything at least a little bit good. Very low turnover numbers. The case against Terrence Jones: Always seemed to struggle more when forced to start. Was a pretty mediocre shooter. Was very injury prone. Wayne Blackshear http://www.mchlclrk.com/old_ebl/2028/players/player250.htm 2nd Nomination Career stats: 1310 games (11th), 27767 points (9th), 9180 rebounds (42nd), 5057 assists (44th), 2292 steals (11th), 10298 FGs (10th), 2310 3s (11th), The case for Wayne Blackshear: A very consistently great scorer, with 12 straight seasons of 21+ PPG. One of the better rebounding guards in EBL history. Very good handler for a SG. Played great defense throughout his career. Almost always the best player on his team. The case against Wayne Blackshear: Never won a title. Was a solid shooter, but never great. Anthony Davis http://www.mchlclrk.com/old_ebl/2029/players/player457.htm Career stats: 1363 games (6th), 16628 points (67th), 15870 rebounds (2nd), 4109 assists (60th), 4597 blocks (1st), 685 double doubles (7th) The case for Anthony Davis: One of the best, if not the best, defensive players to play in EBL history. Was so good at one point that he could carry teams almost by himself to the finals. Too many all defensive teams/all leagues/all star games to count. Was also an underrated passer. The case against Anthony Davis: Never was a good scorer. While he wouldn't hurt you on the offensive end, he wouldn't help, either. Never won a title either. Demarcus Cousins http://www.mchlclrk.com/old_ebl/2029/players/player564.htm Career stats: 1436 games (3rd), 23778 points (20th), 14997 rebounds (3rd), 1940 blocks (30th), 8860 FGs (22nd), 6057 FTs (3rd), 768 double doubles (3rd) The case for Demarcus Cousins: Was one of the most prolific scoring big men in EBL history, only behind Favors in points. Was also a very good rebounder throughout most of his career. Was the big man defensive anchor on some very good defensive teams. Won a title as the best or 2nd best player on his team. The case against Demarcus Cousins: Hung around too long so his numbers look worse than they actually are. Despite being on good defensive teams, his stats do not back up him being a great defender. Was practically non existent as a passer and shot blocker. Nenad Miljenovic http://www.mchlclrk.com/old_ebl/2029/players/player373.htm Career stats: 1473 games (2nd), 21155 points (32nd), 13119 assists (2nd), 2957 steals (2nd), 8252 FGs (31st), 1853 3s (23rd), 588 double doubles (16th) The case for Nenad Miljenovic: Was for much of his career the prototype handling/defending PG in the league. One of the best PG's in history as far as handling goes (assist/turnover ratio around 5.5 to 1). Developed into a better scorer as his career went on. Elite defender. The case against Nenad Miljenovic. Despite becoming a better scorer, he still never was elite at it. Wasn't the best shooter in the world. Extremely poor rebounder. Current Vote Tally Derrick Favors: 17 Anthony Davis: 9 Demarcus Cousins: 3 Nenad Miljenovic: 3 Terrence Jones: 1 Wayne Blackshear: 1 Edited by Mofoticon, Mar 10 2013, 12:01 AM.

Derrick Favors - Pretty much goes unsaid. Wayne Blackshear - Arguably one of the best players to never win a title, he was as consistent as they come on offense and defense. |

Derrick Favors - the obvious one. Anthony Davis - Best defensive big men in EBL history, imo. Only seems right that him and Favors go in together. |
