The rules are simple: You pick 2 members out of this list, and the 2 who receive the most votes will be in the HOF. You may choose to give reasons for your voting or not, but please consider all candidates and don't jump to conclusions in voting. You must vote for 2 if you decide to vote. Voting ends next Thursday. Thanks!

In addition, the stats site archive will be used for players pages who retired during the years available.

2031 Nominations

Wayne Blackshear

http://www.mchlclrk.com/old_ebl/2028/players/player250.htm

3rd Nomination

Career stats: 1310 games (11th), 27767 points (11th), 9180 rebounds (45th), 5057 assists (48th), 2292 steals (11th), 10298 FGs (12th), 2310 3s (12th),

The case for Wayne Blackshear: A very consistently great scorer, with 12 straight seasons of 21+ PPG. One of the better rebounding guards in EBL history. Very good handler for a SG. Played great defense throughout his career. Almost always the best player on his team.

The case against Wayne Blackshear: Never won a title. Was a solid shooter, but never great.

Demarcus Cousins

http://www.mchlclrk.com/old_ebl/2029/players/player564.htm

2nd Nomination

Career stats: 1436 games (3rd), 23778 points (22nd), 14997 rebounds (3rd), 1940 blocks (31st), 8860 FGs (25th), 6057 FTs (3rd), 768 double doubles (3rd)

The case for Demarcus Cousins: Was one of the most prolific scoring big men in EBL history, only behind Favors in points. Was also a very good rebounder throughout most of his career. Was the big man defensive anchor on some very good defensive teams. Won a title as the best or 2nd best player on his team.

The case against Demarcus Cousins: Hung around too long so his numbers look worse than they actually are. Despite being on good defensive teams, his stats do not back up him being a great defender. Was practically non existent as a passer and shot blocker.

Nenad Miljenovic

http://www.mchlclrk.com/old_ebl/2029/players/player373.htm

2nd Nomination

Career stats: 1473 games (2nd), 21155 points (36th), 13119 assists (2nd), 2957 steals (2nd), 8252 FGs (31st), 1853 3s (25th), 588 double doubles (16th)

The case for Nenad Miljenovic: Was for much of his career the prototype handling/defending PG in the league. One of the best PG's in history as far as handling goes (assist/turnover ratio around 5.5 to 1). Developed into a better scorer as his career went on. Elite defender.

The case against Nenad Miljenovic. Despite becoming a better scorer, he still never was elite at it. Wasn't the best shooter in the world. Extremely poor rebounder.

Nerlens Noels

http://www.mchlclrk.com/old_ebl/2030/players/player65.htm

Career stats: 14225 rebounds (7th), 3900 blocks (4th)

The case for Nerlens Noels: One of the best defensive players in EBL history (3 time DPOY). Consistently on winning teams, and was a huge part of Denver's success for years. Extremely consistent rebounder/defender throughout his career.

The case against Nerlens Noels: Was never a good scorer. Became a liability at it later in his career.

Marcus Thornton

2nd Nomination

Career stats: 22378 points (28th), 4683 assists (52nd), 8403 FGs (30th), 2318 3s (11th)

The case for Marcus Thornton: Maybe the best No.2 in EBL history. Was proficient throughout his career as the 2nd option next to guys like LeBron and Melo, winning often. Was an elite shooter, one of the best in EBL history. A very underrated scorer who is still near the top half of EBL history in points despite being retired since 2024. A great ball handler for a SG.

The case against Marcus Thornton: Was always an average defender at best. Never led a team as the No.1 guy. Didn't play as long as the other guys on this list.

Thaddeus Young

3rd Nomination

Career stats: 27422 points (13th), 8156 rebounds (67th), 1890 steals (21st), 10178 FGs (14th), 2133 3s (16th)

The case for Thaddeus Young: Was at one time the best scorer in EBL (despite many current HOF'ers still being in the league). Was a very good defender throughout his whole career. Could score in any way possible. A solid rebounder throughout his career.

The case against Thaddeus Young: Never won a title despite coming close. Was overshadowed by some better players like LeBron and CP3 throughout his career. Wasn't a very good ball handler.

Current Vote Tally

Nenad: 10
Nerlens Noels: 7
Demarcus Cousins: 6
Thaddeus Young: 3
Marcus Thornton: 2
Wayne Blackshear: 2

Marcus Thornton - He's probably the 2nd best #2 guy of all time (Behind Westbrook) but he was amazing next to guys like Melo, LeBron, Tyreke... I think he easily could have been the #1 guy. He was just on team where he could play that role. Also he did that well.

Nerlens Noels - He's underrated as a defender. I feel he was probably close to as good as Whiteside (And current HOF). He's also got 3 rings and 4 finals appearences. His teams also were close to being the best defensive teams in the league durin ghis entire career as a starter.

Nenad and Noels.

And no, Thornton couldn't be a #1. I had him as a #1 and he fucking sucked.
