In addition, the stats site archive will be used for players pages who retired during the years available. 2032 Nominations Wayne Blackshear http://www.mchlclrk.com/old_ebl/2028/players/player250.htm 4th Nomination Career stats: 27767 points (11th), 9180 rebounds (48th), 5057 assists (51st), 2292 steals (11th), 10298 FGs (12th), 2310 3s (13th), The case for Wayne Blackshear: A very consistently great scorer, with 12 straight seasons of 21+ PPG. One of the better rebounding guards in EBL history. Very good handler for a SG. Played great defense throughout his career. Almost always the best player on his team. The case against Wayne Blackshear: Never won a title. Was a solid shooter, but never great. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Demarcus Cousins http://www.mchlclrk.com/old_ebl/2029/players/player564.htm 3rd Nomination Career stats: 1436 games (3rd), 23778 points (22nd), 14997 rebounds (4th), 1940 blocks (31st), 8860 FGs (25th), 6057 FTs (3rd), 768 double doubles (3rd) The case for Demarcus Cousins: Was one of the most prolific scoring big men in EBL history, only behind Favors in points. Was also a very good rebounder throughout most of his career. Was the big man defensive anchor on some very good defensive teams. Won a title as the best or 2nd best player on his team. The case against Demarcus Cousins: Hung around too long so his numbers look worse than they actually are. Despite being on good defensive teams, his stats do not back up him being a great defender. Was practically non existent as a passer and shot blocker. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Thaddeus Young 4th Nomination Career stats: 27422 points (13th), 8156 rebounds (71st), 1890 steals (24th), 10178 FGs (15th), 2133 3s (17th) The case for Thaddeus Young: Was at one time the best scorer in EBL (despite many current HOF'ers still being in the league). Was a very good defender throughout his whole career. Could score in any way possible. A solid rebounder throughout his career. The case against Thaddeus Young: Never won a title despite coming close. Was overshadowed by some better players like LeBron and CP3 throughout his career. Wasn't a very good ball handler. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Terrence Jones http://www.mchlclrk.com/old_ebl/2027/players/player423.htm 4th Nomination Career stats: 18868 points (54th), 11547 rebounds (19th), 4921 assists (55th), 1479 steals (64th), 1150 blocks (81st), 6919 FGs (60th) The case for Terrence Jones: The most versatile player in EBL history. Not only could play 5 positions effectively in the same game, but did it at a high level (especially on defense). As the stats show, he did everything at least a little bit good. Very low turnover numbers. The case against Terrence Jones: Always seemed to struggle more when forced to start. Was a pretty mediocre shooter. Was very injury prone. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Andrew Bynum 3rd Nomination Career stats: 1371 games (5th), 20572 points (44th), 14730 rebounds (5th), 2393 blocks (25th), 772 double doubles (2nd) The case for Andrew Bynum: One of the most durable players in EBL history. Consistently averaged a double double every season. The case against Andrew Bynum: Never was a big scorer. Never won a title. Not a great shot blocker. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Brandon Knight http://www.mchlclrk.com/old_ebl/2028/players/player371.htm Career stats: 26130 points (20th), 10282 assists (9th), 1522 steals (55th), 10093 FGs (17th), 2403 3s (10th) The case for Brandon Knight: One of only four players in EBL history to rank in the top 20 in points and top 10 in assists. Extreme productive scorer (11 seasons of 20+) and solid passer. Was a very good shooting PG. Was arguably the best player in the league for a 1-2 year stretch. The case against Brandon Knight: Was very turnover prone (4th all time). Somewhat inconsistent in his numbers throughout his career.
