The rules are simple: You pick 2 members out of this list, and the 2 who receive the most votes will be in the HOF. You may choose to give reasons for your voting or not, but please consider all candidates and don't jump to conclusions in voting. You must vote for 2 if you decide to vote. Voting ends next Thursday. Thanks! In addition, the stats site archive will be used for players pages who retired during the years available. 2033 Nominations Wayne Blackshear http://www.mchlclrk.com/old_ebl/2028/players/player250.htm 5th and Final Nomination Career stats: 27767 points (13th), 9180 rebounds (50th), 5057 assists (51st), 2292 steals (13th), 10298 FGs (14th), 2310 3s (14th), The case for Wayne Blackshear: A very consistently great scorer, with 12 straight seasons of 21+ PPG. One of the better rebounding guards in EBL history. Very good handler for a SG. Played great defense throughout his career. Almost always the best player on his team. The case against Wayne Blackshear: Never won a title. Was a solid shooter, but never great. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Thaddeus Young 5th and Final Nomination Career stats: 27422 points (15th), 8156 rebounds (75th), 1890 steals (25th), 10178 FGs (17th), 2133 3s (20th) The case for Thaddeus Young: Was at one time the best scorer in EBL (despite many current HOF'ers still being in the league). Was a very good defender throughout his whole career. Could score in any way possible. A solid rebounder throughout his career. The case against Thaddeus Young: Never won a title despite coming close. Was overshadowed by some better players like LeBron and CP3 throughout his career. Wasn't a very good ball handler. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Andrew Wiggins http://www.mchlclrk.com/old_ebl/2032/players/player359.htm Career stats: 22244 points (36th), 12021 rebounds (19th), 5545 assists (50th), 1532 steals (58th), 8239 FGs (41st), 1924 3s (25th) The case for Andrew Wiggins: One of the most versatile players in EBL history. Had arguably the best single season of any player in EBL history (2022). A 3 time EBL champion, twice as the best or 2nd best player on the team. Elite defender. Best rebounder among non big men in EBL history. The case against Andrew Wiggins: Outside of a 4 year run, never was a 20+ PPG scorer. Despite all his accolades, could argue he was an underachiever. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Song Niu http://www.mchlclrk.com/old_ebl/2032/players/player595.htm Career stats: 17262 points (80th), 10634 rebounds (30th), 3505 blocks (10th), 572 double doubles (20th) The case for Song Niu: A highly productive and valued center (7 time all star). Was consistently in the top 5 at his position year in and out. A very productive shooter for a big man. Elite shot blocker. The case against Song Niu: Played for a surprisingly short amount of time (13 seasons). Though he was a consistent scorer, never was an elite one. Good, not great rebounder throughout his career. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Tyler Herron http://www.mchlclrk.com/old_ebl/2032/players/player157.htm Career stats: 15210 rebounds (4th), 3767 blocks (6th) The case for Tyler Herron: One of the better defensive players EBL has ever seen. Was an elite shot blocker/rebounder for a minimum of 8 seasons. A great winner, with 3 titles. The case against Tyler Herron: Was not a very good scorer, especially in the 2nd half of his career. Never accumulated many accolades. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Current Vote Tally Thaddeus Young: 11 Tyler Herron: 10 Andrew Wiggins: 9 Wayne Blackshear: 6 Song Niu: 4 Edited by Mofoticon, Aug 9 2013, 02:24 PM.

Herron for sure, far and away above everyone else on the list. If I have to pick someone else, I'll pick Thad. He deserves to get in, and more so than Blackshear. |

I'm going to go Blackshear and Thad, mainly because I think they should get in and the other guys will still have their shots. This was actually that hardest HoF choice to date I think. |
