In addition, the stats site archive will be used for players pages who retired during the years available. 2034 Nominations Andrew Wiggins http://www.mchlclrk.com/old_ebl/2032/players/player359.htm 2nd Nomination Career stats: 22244 points (42nd), 12021 rebounds (20th), 5545 assists (50th), 1532 steals (62nd), 8239 FGs (45th), 1924 3s (29th) The case for Andrew Wiggins: One of the most versatile players in EBL history. Had arguably the best single season of any player in EBL history (2022). A 3 time EBL champion, twice as the best or 2nd best player on the team. Elite defender. Best rebounder among non big men in EBL history. The case against Andrew Wiggins: Outside of a 4 year run, never was a 20+ PPG scorer. Despite all his accolades, could argue he was an underachiever. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Song Niu http://www.mchlclrk.com/old_ebl/2032/players/player595.htm 2nd Nomination Career stats: 17262 points (84th), 10634 rebounds (31st), 3505 blocks (11th), 572 double doubles (22nd) The case for Song Niu: A highly productive and valued center (7 time all star). Was consistently in the top 5 at his position year in and out. A very productive shooter for a big man. Elite shot blocker. The case against Song Niu: Played for a surprisingly short amount of time (13 seasons). Though he was a consistent scorer, never was an elite one. Good, not great rebounder throughout his career. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Tyree Robinson http://www.mchlclrk.com/old_ebl/2032/players/player236.htm Career stats: 31068 points (10th), 11641 FGs (9th), 2754 3s (6th) The case for Tyree Robinson: One of the best and most consistent scorers in EBL history. Fourteen straight seasons of at least 22.8 PPG. A very efficient scorer. A solid rebounder at SG. The case against Tyree Robinson: Was very much a one dimensional player. A below average to poor defender much of his career. Not a good ball handler for a guard. Rarely won anything without Kenneth Marshall. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Rodney Purvis http://www.mchlclrk.com/old_ebl/2033/players/player643.htm Career stats: 1398 games (7th), 32912 points (3rd), 13980 assists (1st), 2371 steals (11th), 12321 FGs (4th), 5590 FTs (8th), 2680 3s (7th), 770 double doubles (4th), 68 triple doubles (2nd), 4258 turnovers (1st) The case for Rodney Purvis: One of the most productive players in EBL history. Was productive from the beginning of his career to the very end. Developed into an elite shooter the 2nd half of his career. Always made his teammates better. The case against Rodney Purvis: Always turnover prone. Never won a title despite being on numerous good teams. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Lorenzo Clay http://www.mchlclrk.com/old_ebl/2033/players/player208.htm Career stats: 20153 points (55th), 10385 assists (9th), 2167 steals (18th), 49 triple doubles (5th) The case for Lorenzo Clay: Was a huge part of 3 different title teams, and became a 3 time playoff MVP. Was a very productive player on both ends of the floor. Former MVP of the league. The case against Lorenzo Clay: His longevity of good play did not last as long as many other elite PGs (arguably 12 years).
