The rules are simple: You pick 2 members out of this list, and the 2 who receive the most votes will be in the HOF. You may choose to give reasons for your voting or not, but please consider all candidates and don't jump to conclusions in voting. You must vote for 2 if you decide to vote. Voting ends next Thursday. Thanks!

In addition, the stats site archive will be used for players pages who retired during the years available.

2039 Nominations

Francisco Page

2nd Nomination

http://www.mchlclrk.com/old_ebl/2037/players/player590.htm

Career stats: 26257 points (32nd), 15836 rebounds (5th), 4378 blocks (3rd), 9839 FGs (33rd), 913 double doubles (2nd)

The case for Francisco Page: One of the most productive big men in EBL history. Was an elite scoring big in a league with very few of them. Was also a very underrated rebounder throughout his career. Good shot blocker/defender.

The case against Francisco Page: Never won a title and it could be argued he was not a good playoff performer. Had no outside game to speak of. Very poor handler.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Joe Brake

2nd Nomination

http://www.mchlclrk.com/old_ebl/2037/players/player289.htm

Career stats: 29702 points (19th), 4963 assists (71st), 2024 steals (31st), 11041 FGs (19th), 4788 FTs (34th), 2832 3s (6th)

The case for Joe Brake: An elite scorer for much of his career (over 20 PPG his first 14 seasons in EBL). Very good rebounder and solid passer for his position as well. Elite 3pt shooter. Was a big part of 2 Spurs title teams. 9 time all star.

The case against Joe Brake: Struggled with turnovers much of his career. Became a bad defender in the 2nd half of his career.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Salvatore Pirozzi

3rd Nomination

http://www.mchlclrk.com/old_ebl/2033/players/player451.htm

Career stats: 24748 points (36th), 13064 rebounds (15th), 9117 FGs (37th), 6046 FTs (6th), 748 double doubles (9th)

The case for Salvatore Pirozzi: An extremely consistent big man for much of his career (you could count on 20/10 from him). One of the better offensive big men in the league throughout much of his career. Became a very strong SF later in his career.

The case against Salvatore Pirozzi: Was a very poor defender as a big man. Never blocked shots. Also never won a title.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Pierre Lewis

http://www.mchlclrk.com/old_ebl/2038/players/player459.htm

Career stats: 39071 points (1st), 11857 rebounds (26th), 5832 assists (58th), 3209 steals (1st), 14752 FGs (1st), 6391 FTs (3rd), 3176 3s (2nd)

The case for Pierre Lewis: The undisputed best player in EBL history. 6 time champion (nobody else has more than 4). Best scorer in EBL history. Elite defender for most of his career. Turned a weakness early in his career (shooting) into a strength (2nd in 3s all time). 1 of only 2 non PGs to win MVP (LeBron). Best rebounding guard in EBL history. Consistently good passer. Never had any issues with turnovers. Won titles on 4 different teams (including 3 playoff MVPs). Nothing he couldn't do at a high level.

The case against Pierre Lewis: N/A

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Bryan Freeman

http://www.mchlclrk.com/old_ebl/2037/players/player626.htm

Career stats: 17722 points (96th), 12482 rebounds (18th), 3216 blocks (20th), 649 double doubles (18th)

The case for Bryan Freeman: Was among the best centers in EBL during his prime. Was a high level starter for at least 8 seasons (no worse than 17/11 from 2024-2031). Very consistent player. Won a title in 2028 with the Mavs as one of their best players. Very good defender much of his career. Underrated FT shooter.

The case against Bryan Freeman: Was a good, not great scorer most of his career. Could be argued he was good at a lot of things (scoring, rebounding, blocking), but not great at anything. Non existent passer.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Current Vote Tally

Pierre Lewis: 18
Francisco Page: 13
Joe Brake: 3
Salvatore Pirozzi: 2
Bryan Freeman: 2

Pierre Lewis - I don't really understand why we should even have to vote him in to be honest. I'd just skip this entire class and put him in alone. Not really much to say about him that hasn't been said, he won 6 titles and was a key part of every single one of those teams (Probably the best player on 5). Add in his plethora of numbers and the fact he was also in like, 10 finals, and yeah. Anyone who doesn't vote him in is either bitter that he beat them (Which really, could be any number of teams) or stupid.

Francisco Page - While I've made no secrets of my feelings about him as a playoff performer (Still not sure he ever got out of round 1) it doesn't change just how dominant a PF he was. He was probably the best player in the league at scoring in his position for a good stretch of his career, was a elite rebounder (12.3 RPG over his career, 4 13+ RPG seasons and even a 14.2 RPG season) and at his best his stat lines were insane (23.9/14.2 w/ 4 BPG & 26/13.3 with 3.5 BPG). There were few players as consistently great as a big as him (Especially on offense) and even in his last few years he was still at his worst season a 15/10 player.
