The rules are simple: You pick 2 members out of this list, and the 2 who receive the most votes will be in the HOF. You may choose to give reasons for your voting or not, but please consider all candidates and don't jump to conclusions in voting. You must vote for 2 if you decide to vote. Voting ends next Thursday. Thanks! In addition, the stats site archive will be used for players pages who retired during the years available. And please no "these HOF nominees are weak or terrible" posts/comments. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ 2043 Nominations Salvatore Pirozzi 5th and Final Nomination http://www.mchlclrk.com/old_ebl/2033/players/player451.htm Career stats: 24748 points (43rd), 13064 rebounds (18th), 9117 FGs (43rd), 6046 FTs (6th), 748 double doubles (10th) The case for Salvatore Pirozzi: An extremely consistent big man for much of his career (you could count on 20/10 from him). One of the better offensive big men in the league throughout much of his career. Became a very strong SF later in his career. 8 time all star. The case against Salvatore Pirozzi: Was a very poor defender as a big man. Never blocked shots. Also never won a title. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Joe Brake 3rd Nomination http://www.mchlclrk.com/old_ebl/2037/players/player289.htm Career stats: 29702 points (19th), 4963 assists (83rd), 2024 steals (40th), 11041 FGs (19th), 4788 FTs (36th), 2832 3s (8th) The case for Joe Brake: An elite scorer for much of his career (over 20 PPG his first 14 seasons in EBL). Very good rebounder and solid passer for his position as well. Elite 3pt shooter. Was a big part of 2 Spurs title teams. 9 time all star. The case against Joe Brake: Struggled with turnovers much of his career. Became a bad defender in the 2nd half of his career. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Perry Zimmerman 3rd Nomination http://www.mchlclrk.com/old_ebl/2040/players/player432.htm Career stats: 20284 points (82nd), 13814 rebounds (14th), 2908 blocks (34th), 5289 FTs (17th), 727 double doubles (13th) The case for Perry Zimmerman: Very consistent throughout his entire career (you could count on 15/11 from him at the worst). Was the best or 2nd best player on the 2033 76ers champion team and started for 1 other champion (2035 Rockets), as well as backing up for the 2040 Lakers title team, proving himself to be a winning player. Underrated offensive player as he shot very efficiently for a big man (.451). 6 time all star. Solid shot blocker for much of his career. Turnovers were a non issue. Good defender most of his career. The case against Perry Zimmerman: Never was a flashy player so he was overlooked often. No outside or passing game to speak of. Not a very good FT shooter. While a very good rebounder, never a dominant one. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Matt Yoder 2nd Nomination http://www.mchlclrk.com/old_ebl/2037/players/player292.htm Career stats: 27602 points (25th), 9759 rebounds (79th), 6399 assists (56th), 10441 FGs (24th), 2361 3s (24th), 39 triple doubles (t-11th) The case for Matt Yoder: One of the most versatile wing players in EBL history. Was at times an elite starter at PG and SF. 9+ seasons of 20 PPG/7 RPG. Extremely skilled passer for a natural SF. Good enough defender to not hurt his team most years. Won a title as a starter in 2032 at the end of his prime. The case against Matt Yoder: Very inconsistent 3pt shooter, especially in the 1st half of his career. Became a poor defender at the end of his career. Never accumulated many steals or blocks. Was on some very good teams, but also many that flamed out in the playoffs. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Benjamin Gonzalez 2nd Nomination http://www.mchlclrk.com/old_ebl/2036/players/player464.htm Career stats: 21695 points (65th), 14134 rebounds (11th), 5144 FTs (23rd), 730 double doubles (12th) The case for Benjamin Gonzalez: One of the better PFs in EBL most of his career. Extremely productive and consistent (17-20 ppg most of his career). Good rebounder most of his career. Good outside game for a big man. 8 time all star. The case against Benjamin Gonzalez: Never was a shot blocker or great defender. Was a productive player, but it could be argued he wasn't a big impact one. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Current Vote Tally Matt Yoder: 6 Joe Brake: 4 Salvatore Pirozzi: 4 Perry Zimmerman: 3 Benjamin Gonzalez: 3 Edited by Mofoticon, Dec 13 2014, 09:03 PM.

Perry Zimmerman - His stats are almost identical to Gonzo, but he had more rings and was a better shot blocker. He was also, as mentioned, a big key to the 76ers title win. Joe Brake - 14 straight 20+ PPG years and all of them very efficient (He shot 42% from 3 his career and only dipped under 40 once during his great first 14 years). Was also a key player for some great Bucks and Spurs teams. Was also not that bad a rebounder too, 6.7 over his carrer and a lot of 7 most seasons. |
