The rules are simple: You pick 2 members out of this list, and the 2 who receive the most votes will be in the HOF. You may choose to give reasons for your voting or not, but please consider all candidates and don't jump to conclusions in voting. You must vote for 2 if you decide to vote. Voting ends next Thursday. Thanks!

In addition, the stats site archive will be used for players pages who retired during the years available.

And please no "these HOF nominees are weak or terrible" posts/comments.

2044 Nominations

Michael Beasley

4th Nomination

Career stats: 31866 points (13th), 9955 rebounds (75th), 12011 FGs (13th), 6134 FTs (4th)

The case for Michael Beasley: Very durable player. One of the best and most consistent scorers in EBL history (streak of 20+ ppg for 14-15 seasons in a row). Still in the top 15 in points despite retiring almost two decades ago. Won a title as the No.2 to LeBron in NY. Very good rebounder for a SF.

The case against Michael Beasley: Always an average defender at best. Could have won more. Was never the No.1 guy on a team until late in his career, and never won much at it.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Perry Zimmerman

4th Nomination

http://www.mchlclrk.com/old_ebl/2040/players/player432.htm

Career stats: 20284 points (85th), 13814 rebounds (15th), 2908 blocks (36th), 5289 FTs (17th), 727 double doubles (15th)

The case for Perry Zimmerman: Very consistent throughout his entire career (you could count on 15/11 from him at the worst). Was the best or 2nd best player on the 2033 76ers champion team and started for 1 other champion (2035 Rockets), as well as backing up for the 2040 Lakers title team, proving himself to be a winning player. Underrated offensive player as he shot very efficiently for a big man (.451). 6 time all star. Solid shot blocker for much of his career. Turnovers were a non issue. Good defender most of his career.

The case against Perry Zimmerman: Never was a flashy player so he was overlooked often. No outside or passing game to speak of. Not a very good FT shooter. While a very good rebounder, never a dominant one.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Mike Reynolds

2nd Nomination

http://www.mchlclrk.com/old_ebl/2039/players/player150.htm

Career stats: 27452 points (28th), 2491 steals (18th), 10340 FGs (27th), 2456 3s (21st)

The case for Mike Reynolds: Was one of the best scorers in EBL over a full decade worth of games. Had one of the best seasons in EBL history (2028). Elite shooter for much of his career. Very good at getting steals. Solid rebounder for his position.

The case against Mike Reynolds: Never a great ball handler or passer. Become a bad defender as his career went on. Never won a title despite playing on many good teams.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Tony Ross

http://www.mchlclrk.com/old_ebl/2040/players/player321.htm

Career stats: 26710 points (33rd), 10037 FGs (36th), 3966 FTs (74th), 2670 3s (14th)

The case for Tony Ross: Was among the best SFs in EBL for much of his prime. An extremely efficient 3pt shooter (Ron Trimm is .435 career to Ross's .433, for example). 12 straight seasons of 20+ PPG. A 4 time all star at a crowded position. Was one of the best sidekicks in EBL history on the Clippers Scott Duncan teams. A very good rebounder and passer for his position.

The case against Tony Ross: Was never a great defender, though was underrated at times with it. Did not have the same longevity as some other top notch SFs, but a case could be made he retired at the right time. Always had an issue with turnovers, though not a major one. Never led a team as the #1 guy. Also never won a title

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Sviatoslov Voronkov

http://www.mchlclrk.com/old_ebl/2043/players/player267.htm

Career stats: 24616 points (44th), 5628 assists (71st), 2592 steals (14th), 9342 FGs (43rd), 2421 3s (22nd)

The case for Sviatoslov Voronkov: Was always one of the best SGs in EBL during the majority of his career. Thrived in Chicago next to Stephen Marino, winning a title and having a lot of overall success. Was a good player from basically year 2 until year 15 when he retired. Good rebounder and especially passer for the SG spot. Had some early success as a PG, showing his versatility. Always one of the best wing defenders in the league during his career. A 4 time all star. 12 straight seasons of 20+ PPG.

The case against Sviatoslov Voronkov: Had some great scoring years, but never was a legit #1 scorer in the league. Never led a team on his own to any success. Never won much of anything in his career without Stephen Marino.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Current Vote Tally

Michael Beasley: 8
Sviatoslov Voronkov: 8
Perry Zimmerman: 5
Tony Ross: 4
Mike Reynolds: 3

Michael Beasley - He probably should have been in sooner, but was in some of the earlier deeper HOF classes. He's still a HOF talent who was an elite offensive weapon (Especially with his rebounding).

Sviatoslav Voronkov - It's very close between him and Ross for me, but Voronkov is a stronger passer and has that title. He was also probably a stronger defender as well.

I'll go with the two winners: Beasley and Zimmerman.

Sviatoslov Voronkov will get my vote next year
