Code Geass

So I finished watching series one of Code Geass today and was wondering what other people thought of it?
I love the art-style. It has a lovely slick and glossy look to it, and I love the shiney eyes. X3
It reminds me a lot of the same style that CLAMP used for their colour illustrations in Tsubasa.
And the music is generally quite strong and suits each of the situations well.
There are a lot of characters but I felt that we didn't get to find out as much about quite a lot of them that I would have liked. I especially thought that it would have given a lot more information on C.C, but it only gave a little bit really. Anyway, I'll be checking out season 2...
So what are other people's opinions on Code Geass?

Blade of the Immortal

Old news really, but I only got around to see the trailer today.
As some of you might know, Bee Train is adapting the Blade of the Immortal manga (made by Hiroaki samura) into an anime. And the first trailer is fianlly out!
.... or was a while ago.. XD
Trailer on YouTube
I don't really know what I think about it atm.. I need to see more!
I'm a big fan of the manga, so I was anxious to see how it would turn out, especially considering Samura's rather unique artwork. It's sketchy, but the details are still so very clear, it's like everything happens in broad daylight. And the coloured artwork are bright and colourful. But the clips on the trailer are from scenes that takes place during night time or in dark places. I really hope the whole anime won't be that dark and grey. The character designs looked ok though ^^

Higurashi no Naku Koro Ni

Higurashi no Naku Koro Ni aka "When the Cicadas Cry" or "When they Cry: Higurashi" is simply amazing.
There are four question arcs and answer arcs that go with them spread over the first series and Higurashi no Naku Koro Ni: Kai (Kai = Release).
It starts off seeming like just any "teenager surrounded by young girls" animé, but that last the first episode only. Murders, Gore, Violence, Insanity, more than a few WTF moments, some incredible mysteries and the most insane laugh you have ever heard...
I don't want to say too much because the plot is deep and saying almost anything will spoil the series LOL
PLEASE, if you haven't watched this, at least give it a try!
I've gotta warn you on two things. There can be MUCH violence at times, and also, the plot is non-linear so you jump around a bit. You'll see LOL
It goes from Cute

(Don't worry, there are no spoilers, at least, nothing you'd understand LOL)

Shugo Chara!

Anyone seen this?
If not the background story is as follows (stolen from AniDB): "Everybody at Seiyo Elementary thinks that stylish and super cool Hinamori Amu has it all: But nobody knows the real Amu, a shy girl who wishes she had the courage to truly be herself. Changing Amu’s life is going to take more than wishes and dreams–it’s going to take a little magic! One morning, Amu finds a surprise in her bed: three strange little eggs. Each egg contains a Guardian Character, an angel-like being who can give her the power to be someone new. With the help of her Guardian Characters, Amu is about to discover that her true self is even more amazing than she ever dreamed".

From that description it sounded a bit too sugary sweet for my taste. But I really like Peach-Pit so I added it to my Planning to watch-list. And finally got around to do so a few days back. And now I'm completely in love with the series! :3 Sure, it is very cute and sweet, childish even, but the story is pretty good (have seen 13 episodes so far. There's 51 in total, but only 28 are aired). And it turns out to be about more than the initial decription said. Yay for bad guys!
It's a very light, easy-going show, and a very funny one in my opinion. And I think it's not my brain being damaged from all the revising I've been doing lately.
The characters are very different, and I've got several favourites, and the Shugo Charas are just so adorable! I particularly like Miki, the blue one. Don't see why anyone would call them angel-like though.. they're more like... I dunno.. But angels aren't the first thing that comes to my mind.
I love the art! Quite detailed. Especially the outfits! There is so many of them I want to make! Some for cosplays, others just for everyday-wear
