Just literally finished watching the first ep (at last XD) and I'm hooked, HOOKED I tell you XD Seriously awesome first episode, downloading the next one now, and will likely be downloading all day XD I know there's a couple of fans here (looks at Tsuchi-chan) so, I ask why haven't you made a topic for it already? It clearly deserves it ^^ |

Huh? Death Note? What is this Death Note of which you speak? I have never heard of it.
 WELCOME TO THE CLUB !!! *ahem* Well I didn't start a topic on it because we already have one on NERV, so I thought it might be a bit weird if I started another one. There's also the fact that Berry-chan and I have run into a few spoilers before. We're reading the manga, which is way ahead of the anime and there are only 2 books left to go. ( I don't know if I'll be happy or sad when I read the last volume. I REALLY want to know how it ends, but then there will be no more Death Note left ) T_T Anyway, as some people have read the scanlations and so finished reading the entire series, we always worry about running into spoilers so I keep trying to avoid running into any more. >.< * remembers accidentally running into some forum chat which gave away one of the LARGEST spoilers in Death Note and being just a teeny bit annoyed about it * :angry: But yes, I just love how cleverly written this series is, and the athmosphere and soundtrack is fantastic. And they've really managed to keep all the detail in the characters from the manga. I think you'll like episode 2. That's when you first get to see what kind of twists and mind-games this series is always playing around with. Let me know what you think of it, Fayth-kun. ^^ |

Episode 2? I'm upto episode 5 now XD lol But yeah, it just keeps getting better, Light is really quite interesting you have to wonder if the Death Note has made him mad, but he's still cool, and at the moment I want him to win. It's a shame though, I came to like Ray, even though he only lasted two eps XD |

Oh really you've never heard of it??? lol Anyway when you said that Jimmy gave you a fake Death Note because the Shinigami never appeared, you have got to read the rules. "If a human uses the note, a god of death usually appears in front of him/her within 39 days after he/she uses the note" The Midlands Expo was only on 24th Feb, it has only been 20 days, so wait another 19 days then a Shinigami might appear Okay, so as Tsuchinoko-chan said, BEWARE OF SPOILERS they are everywhere and also beware of Spence-kun, the one who loves giving out spoilers lol.
I used to always cheer Light on the killing of criminals until Misa started to appear in the Manga. *Tries to put this in away so a spolier doesn't appear* Misa does have a sort of annoying behaviour, but I don't like the way Light treated her! I'll put this into more detail once you have seen more eps. |

Fayth-kun? Kun?!?!? Are you a female? I heard that that's what females call guys that they are hot for. Anyway, I've only read the first chapter in Death Note and I think it's awsome! I don't know why I don't just go out and buy some more... |

I started watching Death Note a few weeks ago, and really really loved it! sadly, exams came (and are still here), so I haven't seen it for a while. only on episode 8
but I will continue! just because it is awesome so far!

Yep, I agree that Light is pure evil! I use to like him and take his side of killing of criminals until he tries to kill some innocent people, plus I hated the way he treats Misa.
You probably find apples missing from your kitchen because I believe your Ryuk plushie stole them I hope your new Shinigami will like chocolates otherwise it will fight for the apples with your Ryuk plushie
Hehe! my Sakura plushie is the current owner of my chibi Death Note and a Shinigami did appear with her and you know that because you have read the story on NERV lol Poor Tsuchinoko-Chan, I bet Jimmy has given you the fake one on purpose because he believes my Sakura plushie deserves the real one lol.
Yeah thats cool, your costume in that pic I saw does look alot like one of Misa's costume. If you really are going to cosplay as Misa for one of the Expos how about this as an idea -----> We go as a Death Note group and I'm sure other people from this forum and NERV will join too :lol: Mtani-Chan can be our lovely Misa, Tsuchinoko-Chan can be our weird, erm... I mean great detective L and I can be Naomi Misora since I have her hairstyle (but I might be Erika Toda (Misa from the live action) if I can't get Naomi's Leather jacket. If we are interested in this idea then I think we should take this discussion in the Cosplay board :lol:
OMG! Your way ahead of me lol, I can see episode 22 is getting close to when L _______, right? (Come on Fayth and hurry up with Death Note so I can fill in the blank lol )

| Lol bought the first 3 volumes of manga today (yes, I work fast XD) and I'm so totally loving Death Note. L is awesome, he's like a super-smart monkey XD But by far my favouritecharacter is Ryuk, he's definately the funniest XD |

@ Berry-chan - Ah, but my Shinigami enjoys nibbling on chocolate. Don't you remember? ( okay, so it was only in one scene. lol ) - Hehe. Don't I remember Ryuk finishing off Sakura and Syaoran by writing their names in the chibi Death Note when we were in Telford? Or did they manage to escape their fate with a sneaky Light Yagami-style trick? lol - I am very much in favour of the Death Note cosplay group. That would be awesome. Wait... weird?! Not at all! What do you mean by that? :lol: * crouches on chair, drops thirty sugar-cubes into one single cup of tea and stares absently until eyes glaze over * Aizawa: '' I once saw him sleeping like that... '' XD - And yup, the finale of the Yotsuba arc has just started off ( that shouldn't mean anything to Fayth yet, so it shouldn't spoil anything ). Which is great, because to be honest I did find that most of this section tended to drag a bit. A little too much talking and not enough twists. But yes, the way this wraps up is great stuff. And yeah, I always have to watch it a.s.a.p when each one comes out, so that's why I'm on episode 22. lol @ Fayth - Ha! A super-smart monkey? lol Yeah, I guess he is. XD |

*skips most of what's being said* Guess I have a lot to read after I have started watching/reading Death Note myself XD. Oooh! I'm in if there is a Death Note cosplay group! ^^ We can try and make one for either the JapanEx or October's MCM Expo? Does anyone know when the Death Note live action movies are being released? Tatsuya Fujiwara plays Light, and I really like Tatsuya, so I'm looking forward to it ^^. |

Haha its the same, Amazing episode as always, I was literally on the edge of my seat, I wonder if L would suceed and Im also wondering...Errr I dont know if I should post it since its a bit of a spoiler xD.

Ah, well if you're up to episode 22 then there is definitely nothing in the first movie that will spoil the rest of the anime or manga for you, Kman. As for the second movie, it's prob best not to watch that one just in case. ^^ Do you read the manga, as well? I wanted to buy a copy of the movie from Japan, but it isn't available with subtitles. |

Haha, brilliant! When i got to my classrom today a guy in my class approached me and said he had something for me. "I have something you'll like." he said and gave me a CD, turns out it's a CD with all the 12 Death Note mangas! XD Finally I can catch up!

No problem. It's not as good as the manga and anime versions, but still worth watching for fans. ^^ lol Yeah, I guess I could do that but the Japanese set does look sooo nice  and the subtitles on the version I watched on YouTube did look really messed up and badly translated from what I could tell ( I'm far from fluent but I do have a little understanding ). In particular the way the news-readers keep decribing the deaths as ''weird'' or however they put it just sounded really odd.( Can't wait for episode 24! ) :lol: |

| Upto episode 30 now and it's just getting better, still have 5 volumes of manga to read so the aime is new ground for me and has been for the last few eps ^^ |

Now I can say that episode 25 really sucked T_T Just joking. It was a really good episode, actually :lol: You might want to get up-to-date with the manga first, Fayth. They have been cutting out quite a few key scenes once the Near and Mello arc started. Episode 29 actually covered 9 chapters of the manga, and to do that they skipped on a few key things that Mello got up to, and also my favourite scene with Sidoh at the hideout (was looking forward to seeing that particular scene animated - bah). He needed more screen-time than just one episode. There was also a silly bit where Sidoh is handing out flyers in the Shinigami Realm with Mello's picture on that I wanted to see. But he gives up and chucks them on the floor because no-one wants to help him XD I've heard that the series is meant to be finishing after 36 episodes, so the Near and Mello stuff has to be squashed into just 11. I was expecting them to cover that in a second typical 26 ep. series. That would have worked out well, I thought. Oh well XD Despite that I'm still loving the anime, though. And I've just pre-ordered the third Soundtrack

That bit reminds me a lot of Paranoia Agent. In fact the music for both the new opening and closing doesn't fit the series at all, and the shouting bits just ruin it. >.<
