I am not a purist who gets all pissy about the movies, but there were a couple of thing that ticked me off. The use of the Levicorpus in the DA scene. We don't see that in the books til HBP. The absence of Marrietta Edgecombe and the scene of Harry destroying Dumbledore's office. In and of it's self, it was a fine moive. I feel that all of the young stars are getting better in terms of their craft. I think they did a superb job casting Imelda Staunton. The fight scenes are much more intense and very well done. I was a little disappointed in the veil. I had imagined it larger and set against the wall, with auditorium seating around it. David Yates was a great director though. I am so glad he is coming back for the next one. What did every one else think? |

It was alright, very good for an adaptation. I was personally not very happy with it as OOTP is my favourite of all of the Harry Potter books and they cut out so much (mostly Remus and Sirius). Yates did well with directing, but the things that were cut out of the other movies sort of made it so that they had to butcher this movie pretty badly. I have to say that the Ministry was somewhat disappointing as it was not much like the book version, and I would have liked to see Harry throwing random metal objects, though. ...There's lots of criticism there, but I did like the movie. It's my favourite (besides PoA) of the movies. |

Definitly the best so far, but still so much missing. Harry was so angry in the books and that was just totally missing in the movie. He hit his wall once and the scene where he "shouted" at Ron and Hermione was more of an annoyed whisper. It bugged me when the twins popped in and mentioned is "dulcet tones" when his voice hadn't even been raised ¬_¬ Overall though I think they did a good job. Still, adding another half-hour to include some other important stuff wouldn't have hurt them! |

| I couldn't agree more. I know I said it before but the exclusion of the converstion with Harry and Ginny(about being possessed by Voldemort) was just stupid. It was actually quite integral. I am just praying they keep alot of the relationship stuff in HBP so their relationship doesn't look disjointed. Even a montage scene would be fine. |

I agree as well. The Harry/Ginny possesion chat should have been left in. |

Yeah. They included things such as Ginny making a foul face whenever Cho Chang was brought up, but they didn't include this dialogue which brought them so close in the book at that stage... Then again, the fools were going to cut Kreacher out of it weren't they? LOL |

| Hey they left Winky out of GOF, That to me was criminal. Hopefully there won't be much character exclusion in HBP. At least we finally get to see Narcissa. |

Yeah, but at least they explained the story alright without Winky. To be honest, I think they were right to do it as she wasn't really needed for the bigger picture, but showing us Barty Crouch Jr within the first five minutes of the movie!? O_O WTF!? If they had cut out Kreacher, the last two movies would have immensely suffered as they tried to explain things! |

That is very true. I am happy to hear that they are breaking up DH into two movies. It deserves it, there really is nothing that you can leave out in the book. |

Really!? I hadn't heard that! But yeah, that's really good to hear
Although I hope they film them together. The main characters are already looking a bit TOO old for their roles so if they film them separately, it'll be silly LOL

| There was an interview with Daniel Raddcliffe on ( I think) Entertainment Tonight about how he felt about the movies being split into two. One is to be released the year after other. He said he was happy because he really felt that there was no way to streamline the plot in DH. They also reported though that it will be filmed in one shot just released in two movies. |
