So I do a considerable amount of TV watching on the net. So I was hoping to find others who might be interested in these shows. For starters there is a new one on cbs.com called "Moonlight" It is a vampire story. Mick St. John a vampire in CA having a dream of having an interview telling all of his life as a vampire, ala Interview With a Vampire. He narrates through the show. There are some general vampire myths that he dispels in the first episodes. Such as sunlight does not make them burst into flame, it just makes them feel sick if they stay out too long. They don't sleep in coffins, just freezers. And garlic, silver bullets and holy water only smell bad, hurt and make them wet. Mick St. John is a private investigator, ala Forever Night. He takes many cases in order to keep the existence of vampires secret from the public. Or just to help the helpless and to get the really really bad guys put away. If anyone out there has seen "Forever Night" you know what I am talking about. Beth Turner is a TV news reporter that seems to have captured Mick's interest and soon the watcher learns of the connection while she stays clueless. The overall story is interesting and its nice to have another vamp on TV now. However there are lots of problems with this show. There are way too many cliches to count. The acting and directing is in real need an overhaul. It sometimes seems like there are two different directors because at times it seems that the acting is spot on and then at times it feels like suddenly everyone needs to go to acting school. And for those out there who like the vampire gore there is plenty to go around. They make sure those scenes get the mood right. |

| Forever Knight was a really good show. It was filmed in Canada and showed on Crimetime after Primetime on CBS here. You can still ocassionaly catch some epis on Sci Fi Channel. Gerrant Wyn Davies plays Detective Nicholas( Nick) Knight. A Vampire he becomes a cop to do right. He feels as though he needs to repent for the years he was evil. His sire is a really evil vampire named Lacriox. He is sadistic and can not understand why Nick feels the need to be human again. It was well acted and well written. It is worth the watch. |

I think that if you see Moonlight without ever having seen Forever Night you would truely enjoy the show. Watch it can be great fun. Just like in other shows that was able to stick out past the first season there could be an improvement in the acting and directing. If you want to find out more about Forever Night here is a website dedicated to it Forever Night |

| It all sounds interesting, though I admit that I have never heard of any of it before now. (Of course, what I haven't heard of could fill many volumes of books.) I'll have to see some of it at some point^^ |

Let the education begin... Veoh has its own player that will give you streaming channels even one called Anime TV where they discuss current anime. You can also save shows from Veoh in your library for later watching. |

So now that you all know about Moonlight and Forever Night, some of you out there need to go out there and watch them. Come back here and tell us what you think. Now to move on to other new shows also on nbc.com there is "Bionic Woman". WoW a great show. I was young when the original was out and vaguely remember it. Of course we all know about the staccato music to emphasize the bionic woman's use of machined power. The new show has is softer and more hidden in the shows music. About the show itself meets the 22nd century. Lets face it in todays tv world there is better everything to make the story much more beleivable. Our heroine Jaime Sommers is in a terrible car accident and her boyfriend needs to save her so badly he takes her to a top secret facility to fix her. She wakes up with a lot more than she bargains for and needs to learn to deal with what she has. Furthermore, this top secret facility is privately owned and is run by Jonas Bledsoe who wants his $50 million worth of technology to work for him and his company. Jaimie Sommers was a girl who wanted to got to collage and gave it up to take her teenage sister in to live with her. She now has to lie about where she is and what she does and the juggling of career and home is just as difficult for her as it is with the rest of us mere mortals. All in all this is a really great show. It has strong characters, good direction and lots of girl power to boot. Check it out and tell us all what you think. |

Okay, so I know I said I probably wouldn't like it but I did. Moonlight is a really good show, I bought an episode on I tunes just to see if I liked it and I did. If I had known it had Jason Dohring in it, I would have watched it from the get go. The writing has the same edge as Veronica Mars(maybe the fact that the shows share producers and creators) and isn't your average vamp show. The acting is a little guarded at first but it has really developed. I too would really suggest it |
