Manga Art Tutorials

I was on DA the other day and someone had posted a link to these video tutorials by a guy called Mark Crilley. He's created his own four volume manga series called Miki Falls, and his tutorials cover a good range of topics including such things as colouring and inking, different eye shapes, expressions, clothing, figures in motion etc. The ones I found the most useful were his demonstrations on drawing and colouring backgrounds and on cross-hatching ^^

Anyways, I thought I'd share because I think they're really good.
I think you can pick up techniques a little easier when you can actually watch the person in the process of drawing rather than just following a written step-by-step guide, so hopefully people will find it useful.

Drawing Manga - Mark Crilley's Video Tutorials

( if anyone else finds some more good tutorials maybe we could post them all here )

You're welcome ^^
As I said I thought they were too good not to share.

It's helpful to me to see how simple his watercolour technique is.
I don't paint very often, but when I have I sometimes tend to over-paint it, so it's very reassuring to see that he only uses 2 or so layers and just leaves it at that.

I looked up Miki Falls and the first volume is available now.
I'm really interested in grabbing a copy of that to see the result of how all his work has come together ( plus he also has a trailer for it on there and now I'm really curious as to what the story is all about... )
