Has anyone read the Twilight book series?

I just finished reading the three current books and I really like the series. It can occasionally be sophmoric but the characters are so well done and intriuging that you forget any faults it has.

Edward is my favorite character. Alice would be my second favorite.

The Vampire Lore is a little different in this book but I like it.

I can't wait for Breaking Dawn

I keep seeing anime-style fan-art and references to Twilight on DA, so it had me thinking at first that it was an anime series. But after looking on Wiki the other day I found that it is a series of novels and an upcoming live-action film. I take it I'm right in assuming that there is no anime adaptation?

Anyway, it seems that a lot of people think it's really good, so I might check it out sometime.

I liked it alot, it has amazing characterizations. There are actually alot of Manga style drawings for it. Robert Pattinson who played Cedric Diggory in GOF is in the live action movie and from the bits I have seen it looks like he has really embodied the character. It is a good read.

Well, since you would reccommend it and I am curious about the series since I keep hearing it mentioned everywhere, I grabbed a copy of the first book the other day when I was doing my Christmas shopping... then I saw that they had a 3 for 2 offer so I figured that I should buy the next two as well since it was part of a series... and THEN the girl on the counter said that they had the new hardback on offer of book 4. So oops, I went in for just one book and came out with four. :$

Plenty for me to read now, I guess. :D

Agreed, agreed, oh so agreed B)

I'm half way through the first book, and loving it^^
also, saw the movie at a pre-premiere. Nothing was how I pictured it, but the energy between Bella and Edward was as it should be, at least^^ ...just had to get over the rather sleezy looking Edward they'd made..

When your done with all the books look for the partial version of Midnight sun on Stephenie Meyers website. It is Twilight from Edwards perspective. It is unfinished and since it was leaked, it may be a while before she finishes it. It does however make you fall harder for Edward. It really is amazing and I hope she finishes it

Will do, sounds interesting.
I'm sure I won't have to worry too much about waiting for that, as I think it's going to take me a fair while to get through the first 4 books. They're pretty big, especially the hardback.

On a slightly off-topic note but which might be of interest to you Riva, there has been a similar thing done with DramaCon. It's only a short story ( like the equivalent of one manga chapter ), but if you look for the new hardback edition containing all 3 volumes it includes a new story told from Matt's point-of-view. Very sweet ( and funny as always ) ^_^

Book one completed, now I'm several chapters into the second.
I hope they'll write the vampires back into the story soon, it was getting interesting learning about some of the characters' pasts and I was looking forward to reading more about them.

Oh they'll be back. I am hoping that she does what she said she might and really delves into the other charries later. I would love an entire book dedicated to Alice.
