Well, that's it, it's over! I'm officially done with Uni! It even says on my Student Details page that I've "Completed Studies"!

Does this mean I just shifted from "Student" to "Unemployed"? That sucks ¬_¬

At any rate, I was a little disappointed with individual grades, but I was happy that I very almost managed a 1st Degree grade on my Dissertation which was my most important piece of work in my opinion and I loved doing it.

Ok, so overall I managed to get a "2:2 With Honours". If someone can elaborate as to what the "with honours" part means I'd be grateful LOL. Am I pleased with the result? Mmm...so-so I think. A 2:2 is what I was realistically expecting since I hate Law with a passion (long story) but I honestly believed I'd done well enough this year especially to have come out with a 2:1...ah well.

Well, this is it! I'm officially done with university even though the graduation ceremony isn't until NOVEMBER!? WTF!?

I've also got an interview later today that, if I get the job, will see me earning about £30,000 a year (not including bonusses and stuff) and not only that, it's for the catering company I used to work for...so I'd be my ex-boss' boss ^_^ That'd be fun...LOL

Ok, I had my interview for the job as a manager where I used to work. Let's just say it went better than I'd ever possibly DREAMED. The interviewer wasn't the guy that shortlisted, so he hadn't actually seen anyone's CVs.

His first question was "Why have you chosen a Graduate programme at Pret a Manger and what do you know about the company?"

My answer was "Well, I worked at Pret for 2 years and even though I was part-time, I was being fast-tracked into a Team Leader role before I left-

Got cut off with "Wow, I'll stop you there. With that kind of experience, you technically know more about shop operation than I do, working in Human Resources..."

No other applicants had ever worked for Pret...so that's a bonus.

"What kind of degree do you have?"

"I got a 2:2 in LLB Law and-"

"My wife took that degree...the drop-out rate was phenominal and I know just how hard they are to complete...so well done for even finishing and a 2:2 is a good grade too!"

"Um...thank you?"

So that went rather well as well.

Him: "What are your career goals?"
Me: "I have no specific goals, but at the end of the day, I want to come home feeling satisfaction at the job I have done, both what I have done and what I am doing for others as well. I also want to have room for growth and improvement, not just for money, that is just a bonus, I just wish for the ability to prove that I can better myself and also to show others that I can improve."
Him: "Wow...that is really good stuff!"

After this I got told that I would need to take verbal and numerical reasoning skills ("But those should be a breeze for you") and that I'd need to come in for an assessment on the 25th of July ("but that is all but a formality for you, I wouldn't worry. PLEASE come along to it, we're really interested in you and think you could do really well inside this company!")

So yes...better than I'd hoped...I might have a £30,000 a year job in September if this goes well...

I ended up with a 2:2. And to be honest, I was pleased. It's just one of those things and while I loved my course, being foreign and then attending university in your chosen country is always risky. I slaughtered myself the first year (3rds), struggled through my second year with some fails, only to retake them. I must have done well in a few things that interested me and then badly in those I didn't care a cat's backside about ;)

And Mtani, that pic is so sweet! I do love national costumes! *does a little dance*

Sean: cute? *LOL* but thanks XD

Riva: *lol* no doubt about it! And I won't even be able to work as what my degree tells me I'm supoosed t work with.. Seeing as I've moved away from Norway (or trying to at least XD still searching for a job) I have to sart at the bottom and work my way up...

Misaki: I think you did great! Those courses you took weren't excatly the easiest ones! Though, very fascinating at times! *lol* ;) Haha *dances with* need to bring yours over next year, and we'll celebrate May 17th together :P

At the moment, yes. Because no one wants to give me a job that has got something to do with it over here... ^o) Back in Norway I would be head hunted for it though.. They lack huge amounts of people within my field there.. *sigh*

What do you have a degree in Riva?
