I never got one of these either (though I did get the remakes of course)(Silver was my first pokémon game, the very reason I got my second hand GBC for Ł20...), but probably Mew, just from the mystery of never having had the chance to own one, like Chansey until I found out it sucks...plus Mew can learn all TM's, that's pretty cool...
