Celebi's Guardian
Just watched the last two episodes to Xiaolin Showdown (don't ask me why or how I came to, like I can remember), and realised that the Neo three-parter, Time & Time & Time Again was a complete rip-off of them. Now, I'm not going to assume you've watched the show, so I'll summarise it with descriptions of the characters. But first, my story was as follows:

Rei, one of the core heroes, and Miborg, the more cowardly of the two mentors, freeze themselves, upon his suggestion, to retrieve a device for time travelling so they can go back and stop Team Rocket, the villains, from coming to the present time. However, in removing themselves from the timeline the world became thouroughly messed up, and Team Rocket took over. Rei and the imprisoned Rangers manage to defeat Team Rocket, and retrieve a time travel device. They go back to the past, go through some battles before returning to a corrupted (near) present, where Celebi, a heroic ally, has become evil, and Orion, his villainous counterpart, formerly good, never became evil. Rei explains to the other heroes the situation, they go off and have a great big fight with the villains, and then the simulation deactivates and they only have a vague memory of it.

Now in Xiaolin Showdown:

Omi, one of the core heroes, and Dojo, the more cowardly of the two mentors, freeze themselves, upon his (Dojo's) suggestion, to retrieve a device for time travelling so they can go back and stop Chase Young, a certain villain, from becoming evil in the first place. However, in removing themselves from the timeline the world became thouroughly messed up, and Jack Spicer, another, more important but less impressive villain, took over. Omi and his imprisoned allies manage to defeat Jack, and retrieve a time travel device. They go back to the past, go through some battles before returning to a corrupted present, where Master Monk Guan, a heroic ally, has become evil, and Chase, his villainous counterpart, formerly good, never became evil. Omi explains to the other heroes the situation, they go off and have a great big fight with the villains, and then the alternate universe comes crashing around them when the alternate Omi is unfrozen (having been trying to stop Master Monk Guan from becoming evil, in a parallel to the real Omi's quest). They're all left with only a vague memory of what happened.

Now, admitedly, there are a few differences, such as Omi actually acheiving what he set out to do, mine just being a simulation, and there's being only a two-parter, and the series finale, but just look at the titles;

Mine was "Time & Time & Time Again"
This was "Time and Time Again"

Come on! I was clearly subconciously inspired by these episodes, which aired around May 2006, shortly before I started writing Neo. The titles prove it if nothing else. Indeed, I may have even conciously been ripping these episodes off, but I really don't think I was...
