Well, I thought I'd take the time to point out one of the rules within this forum, that of double-posting, and what it means. The thing about double-posting is that it often comes up as spam, when two things could be fitted into one post and save space. It clogs up threads and usually has little purpose but to boost the user's post count. For people who enjoy each new reply, it also comes as something of a disappointment. While double-posting is frowned upon in most forums, exceptions will be made in the writing threads and art threads, simply because people who aren't moderators won't be able to bump to show updates, and also so it doesn't make the first page of the thread non-negotiable and huge. I tried posting thirty chapters of a story in a single post, once. It didn't work. While this may be so, please do not double-post small chunks if you've already got a huge amount written up. Two chapters a post should work: any less and it gets spammish, while any more and no one will be bothered to read it. That said, double-posting is still condemned in most other forums: most of the databases should be kept to a single post because that's what they're there for. Moreover, as the databases will be maintained by the admin, bumping is very much possible. Thanks for reading all of this, and have a nice day =/ |
