I know, D/P take a lot longer than the older games. I was between 50 and 60 hours when I beat the league, and that was using Dialga, as in no extra training between catching it and the league, other than the essentials. Also, did you know you can face Cracher Wake before Maylene, if you go the long way round? Of course, since you won't have Fly once having beaten Wake, meaning you have to walk cycle back up to Veilstone, why would you? Moreover, once you've done the third gym there's very little extensive travelling, compared to Eterna->Oreburgh->Hearthome->Solaceon->Veilstone. You then just go down that couple of routes to Pastoria, then Fly up to Hearthome, then Fly to Jubilife and Surf a very short bit, then you do have a bit of travelling, yes, for the most distant city, then you just Fly to Pastoria and head east a bit. Oh wait, when do you go to Celestic? Well either way I don't like the fact that gyms five and six are either right next to or actually in towns you've already visited. My current team? Mr. Mime Level 71 Psychic Thunderbolt Energy Ball Focus Blast Empoleon Level 69 Flash Cannon Drill Peck Ice Beam Surf And actually...there're really all that's fixed. Post-league I've been shifting my team around like never before, I remember one play through of Emerald I only changed one pokémon afterwards to either Umbreon or Espeon, and I think that was just because I needed something to replace Rayquaza at the Battle Frontier. Before Dialga & the League I had Roserade, Rapidash, Honchkrow, and Steelix. Steelix was dumped for Dialga. Then I need something that was Battle Tower capable, so Dialga made way for Rhydon (later Rhyperior) which then made way for Tyranitar, which I didn't even finish training before I dumped. I've now not got a permanent pokémon in that slot, and Tyranitar now serves as an HM Slave with Rock Climb and Cut to get me to my berries, although I've toyed with the idea of Hitmonchan, Gallade, and more. If I ever get enough BP to teach my Ralts the three Elemental Punches in Emerald then Gallade will be used almost indefinitely. Roserade also left quickly post leauge due to its horrific lack of type coverage, being replaced by Phoenix's Torterra, but I've ditched that as well now. I'm now training up a Leafeon, but already considering getting rid of it. Maybe I'll just give Gallade Leaf Blade and not have any grass type... Rapdiash is still technically in my party, but as soon as I get Electivire and/or Magmortar, it's gone. Honchkrow, whilst one of my best battlers, is boring me. It currently knows Fly, Aerial Ace, Shadow Ball and Dark Pulse (but don't worry, special stat is higher than physical!) which doesn't give it much type coverage, but the only differently typed decent move it has is Psychic, which still only adds one more type to the coverage (ditching Shadow Ball). I'm thinking of replacing it with my newly resurrected Aerodactyl. And then my last two slots will be taken up by Electivire and/or Magmortar, and maybe Froslass (I've considered it before, but its lack of HM's meant I wouldn't have all I needed, but now I'm stopping gorwing berries, I only need Fly and Surf full time). One more thing...eh... "which my cartridge is a glitchy piece of crap" Pardon? o_O |

My Diamond cartridge is a glitchy piece of crap. It doesn't read on my DS most of the time, and, when it does, it freezes if I don't save CONSTANTLY. And Diamond is currently in a state of dead, because it still isn't really working after two days. Any thoughts? |

I did. I didn't know where anything was (and couldn't be bothered to find out) so I winged it and found Crasher Wake. Kinda sucked to have to go all the way back again =_= |

I am now in firm belief that my Diamond cartridge is DEAD. It no longer registers on my DS and it's been two days since it did. |

What's happened to it? Did something happen to it? Or is it a PIRATE COPY!? |

One, I don't know what happened to it, it just stopped working. Two, it was a birthday present from my grandmother. So, no, it's not a pirated copy. |

Was your Diamond card exposed to any magentic fields? It might have been erased or corrupted if it had been. Something as simple as a small refrigerator magnet could do it. |

No, but I should be getting it back in a couple days. My mom mailed it out a week ago. But, then it's back to replaying it. FROM THE TOP! (sorry, Band yell) |

Then be happy! ... That made sense, I swear. I always want to restart my games because I get bored, and then I always feel guilty about wanting to restart because I put so much time into them. Plus usually my brother helps and he never wants to restart, and it wouldn't be fair to him. So the only one I restart is Mystery Dungeon, because he doesn't care about that. |

In a week, I'm at Victory Road. Scary? Yes. Edit: My game either didn't save or I forgot to save it. Either way, I've only had it back five days and I'm up to my seventh badge using only the weekend and about a half hour at midday from Wednesday to Friday. I'm able to be on the WiFi Connection from 10:40 to 11:00AM and from 1:30 to 2:30 PM (GMT - 5, duh) on Wednesdays, from 11:25 to 11:45 AM and from 3:30 to 4:30PM on Tuesdays and from 11:25 to 11:45 AM any other weekday (Monday, Thursday, Friday). |

Sentro, you'd be so proud. I wanted to use Sneasel on my Pearl team (seams I quite like the PRJ villains as pokémon in general, go figure), but as a physical pokémon, I waned it to have a decent physical ice move. So I caught myself a Medicham, move-tutored it Ice Punch, bred that into a Buneary, which I then bred into Sneasel. Yay, first time I've ever bred a move into a pokémon! If anyone's curious, my current Pearl team also comprises of Infernape, Lucario, Octillery, Sudowoodo, and Drifblim, and I'm currently working through the Veilstone Galactic building. |

nods I am proud. Now just EV-train it much (use ten of those Proteins and Carbos first for 200 out of 510 EVs) and max out its Attack and Speed EVs. I won't expect you to keep breeding for perfect IVs (or a Nature, although you really might...), so just get Night Slash, Swords Dance, and Brick Break or Ice Shard as a fourth move (depending on whether you want more versatility or type-coverage). Fighting helps against the insane wall that are Steel-type Pokemon, while Ice Shard allows you to quickly KO any weakened sweepers that plan to kill you before you can touch them. Oh, and make it a Weavile =3 |

Obviously I'll make it a Weavile, after I get the Razor Claw, which you first find in Victory Road. And after breeding Ice Punch into it, you seriously think I'm going to get rid of it for move that does less damage? Especially since it doesn't learn that for another nine levels... And Sentro, you know that moves that have no damage aren't my style. All 24 moves on my current team do damage. Sneasel's got Aerial Ace (primarily to protect it from fighting types, who will obviously do muy muy damage to Sneasel, but also for bug protection), and then...yeah, I should have taught it Brick Break, in retrospect...I ended up giving it X-Scissor for dark type coverage...but then Brick Break covers dark types too...didn't think, but I just wanted one of my team to have X-Scissor...it's such a lovely move...anyway, it can't be that bad, Cyrus thought it was good enough for his Weavile. Oh, caught Dialga and Mesprit, by the way. Once I've managed to get Uxie and Azelf, it's off to Sunyshore! |
