The Boss Baddie Who Never Fights
|
I have plans to base some evil Rangers on Rotom for Sinnoh. It wouldn't be too hard, Amber Castle is in Eterna Forest, and so is the Old Chateau. It would just be a matter of getting Rotom and the Secret Key together. |

Mm, true. Of course you could easily do it without the Secret Key, or just using some paralell... Bah...bulbapedia have a link to "Secret Key" on Rotom's page; it links to the Kanto item, the one that opens the Cinnabar gym. Not quite what I wanted... Don't suppose you might be able to slip in a line about how some residue energy (or something) would create an evil Rotom nearly a century later or something, could ya?

I didn't realize until after the fact that I made a rather sizeable error in my level gauging on my team. Specifically Staraptor. It was at level 67 at last post, not 97...baka me... Anyway, I'm currently in Catch Swarms and Breed Pokemon mode. Spent a good portion of last night trying to catch a Beldum (They REALLY don't like to be caught, and I never did catch one...despite only wanting it for its evolutions...). I breeded a Spearow with Aerial Ace and Steel Wing, which I think is pretty cool. Also, I consider myself lucky to have a boyfriend who plays Pearl (I have Diamond) so I can get SPHEAL! I accidentally evolved it, but it's going to get bred into little Level 1 Spheals soon. Can't wait! Also, going to need to catch Larvitar if they Swarm anywhere...this will be a FUN project... Edit: Other than that, my main team is a level 94 Empoleon, a level 89 Staraptor, a level 65 Leafeon, a level 59 Umbreon, a level 77 Dialga and whatever I feel like Exp. Share training at the moment. Currently, that would be my Level 22ish Fearow. |

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They're doing a Shaymin event at GAME stores in the UK...but not my local store!!! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! EDIT: Platinum's out today! Random changes to the opening...looking foward to getting Houndour too...and the Secret Key next month! Not even at the first gym yet, and I already have Pokérus! First time I've ever found it myself! EDITY EDIT: So I've decided on my team. It's gonna be... Torterra (nicknamed Twiglet), Crobat (nicknamed Bruce (like Batman)(I can't believe I'm using the evolved form of two of the most annoying Pokémon in the history of the games! But now it can Fly and with new moves like Zen Headbutt and X-Scissor, it's become awesome. Plus I kind of liked that I caught a Golbat at level 10, 12 levels below that at which it evolves), Mantine (nicknamed Wo-Man-Ray)(it's female, and traded from my Diamond curtesy of my step brother, so I get to use it throughout the game!), Houndoom (to be nicknamed ScoobyDoom)(Remember the Neo episodes with Scooby Doom? Heh), and Togekiss (nicknamed Omelette)(I've used this in Platinum, but there aren't as many decent Pokémon in the Sinnoh dex as it seems. I needed a special Fighting type move, so Aura Sphere, meaning this or Lucario, and Togekiss has the widest movepool otherwise. My sixth Pokémon is still undecided. It's down to Gliscor and Mamoswine. On the one hand I have a Gligar already (called Giggles), and I can't catch a Swinub until I near Snowpoint (I hate that all the ice types can only be obtained from there!!), and it has better movespread than Mamoswine, but I've used Gliscor in Diamond too, and I want something new...plus Mamoswine does have decent moves... I'm going to train Gligar/scor, then if when I can get Mamoswine I decide I'm bored of it, then here comes Mamoswine. (Incidentally, if a certain move tutor in the Battle Zone could be reached earlier, like the one outside Pastoria, it would undoubtedly be Gliscor, it can learn Aqua Tail now!) Just wondering what teams you guys have built? Edited by Psyduck Ranger, May 24 2009, 03:28 PM.

Current Platinum Team: (swapping out the Giratina for something once I get a chance) Empoleon lv. 58, I think (starter) Staraptor lv. 62 (got put in the front of the party too much in general) Azelf lv. 58, I think (got the tip from watching Marriland's walkthroughs, it's awesome if you keep Nasty Plot on it) Giratina lv. 49 Altered Forme (too lazy to look for the stone to make it Origin Forme) Floatzel lv. 51 (going to swap this for I think a Magnezone if I can get it, either that or a good Ground type) Glaceon lv. 48 (most underleveled, but it's fun to play with, need to teach it Ice Beam) |

You think? :S I don't like using legendaries...I just don't...for a start they're largely useless when you're moving on to Battle Frontier and the likes... See, like I said, the new Sinnoh dex really didn't add too much... Although, one good thing, the basement of Wayward Cave no longer needs Strength, so I got Gible early on (nicknamed Gobbler), and trained that up through the game. However, I wanted it to have things like Brick Break and Fire Fang, not realising it couldn't get either until it reached Garchomp, so I wasted loads of time levelling it up with Riley, when I was about to be able to catch Swinub anyway...so yeah, currently in Mt. Coronet, searching for a new DS, gonna get Swinub ASAP. Did I tell you guys about my DS? |

Well, a long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away, the hinges on my DS began falling apart. It's now reached the state where it's only held together by the wire that links the screens and they can be moved almost totally indepedent of each other. As a result of this, the screen is now tinted, though the colour it's tinted by changes depending on the wire. Mostly, it's yellow, sometimes it's blue. It's still useable, just hideous. |

Pardon me while I shriek in terror. My DS' hinge is starting to fall apart. Also, Azelf is tourney-legal, I believe. At least it's Battle Frontier legal. |

Yeah, but still, it's legendary...bleh. EDIT: WOO! Distortion World is awesome! Just caught Giratina! Since this is my nicknamed game, guess what I called it? Edited by Psyduck Ranger, Jun 13 2009, 09:51 PM.
