So eh...yeah, what is your. I've grouped a few types together because of the limited choice, rock with ground, because let's face it, they could easily be one type. A lot of people didn't even realise Brock wasn't a ground gym leader at first (despite the name), and poison with bug, because...well...I dunno...it is a common dual type. Both of them are hidden beneath the same type in the TCG...

Anyway, I've got a number of favourites. I have to admit, I love all the new grass type pokémon, if only for the look of them, and electric types are pretty cool as well. Well, I could sing praises for a whole bunch of types, but when it comes down to it I've only got one choice if I've made this right...

So anyway, my favourite is the fire type. That's right. Despite my fave being water, and many others I quite like being psychic (plus one being dualed with grass, guess who) I'm big on the fire type. Can't really explain it...maybe it just goes back to childhood where I, like many other young boys (Sky included) would dream of being the Red Power Ranger. Fire is an easily associable type with red, what with it often being that colour, if not then depicted as such, plus fire is often given to leaders regardless of colour, such as on Digimon. Not to mention most of our Red Rangers have fire type Zords.

So...yeah...that's about all I can think of really...perhaps I should add that I'm perfectly comfortable with being Yellow Ranger, and having a water type Zord. After all; I chose them both...

I have to love the Fire type or the Dark type. As you all know sometimes depending on seasons, usually the green or black ranger are commonly 'second in-command' of the Poke Rangers/Power Rangers/Super Sentai. Rarely are Blue, and very rarely are Yellow Rangers being it.

But, the Dark Type sometimes has a lot of flaws and that's okay. Because someitmes depending on how high the Special Attack Rating is for the Pokemon, it could eliminate a monster that would be super-effective (psychic, ghosts), however chances of defeating ones in one hit sometimes from steel-normal depends on chance. (Sometimes doesn't work!)

But, I like the new attacks that actually help me increase my arsenal for writing Mika's storylines or when the next Black Ranger occurs...

However, i still like the Fire type.

Psychic > Everything.

Because seriously. Telepathic/telekinetic stuff is cool.

I'm sure we've all wanted to throw things at someone without being caught once in our lives. Or read someone's mind. Things like that. >3

Hah. My favorite color and Pokemon are pink and Espeon. So Anna had my favorites in PRJ. o_____o

Though fire is nice too. They have such fun designs. I.e. Ninetales. Kitsunes are cool. And I like Venonat and Venomoth for some reason. Umbreon, Houndoom, and Mightyena are all nice too. Dark canines = bloodhounds = cool.

I'm weird.

My favourite types are Ice, Water, Psychic and Ground... for different reasons.

When I think Water/Ice, I usually think grace and beauty; as in the case of things like Articuno, Dewgong, Milotic, and (Piloswine? No.) Water is formless, shapeless, and remarkably versatile, while Ice is very pretty... and is one hell of a good Special Attack-type in pre-D/P.

Psychic I've liked forever... but not nearly as much as Water/Ice. Some of my favourite Pokemon (Gardevoir, Alakazam, Lati@s) are Psychic-type as well.

And then Ground... it's an awesome type ^-^ Pokemon like Torterra and Swampert are Ground-type... Earthquake is one of the most awesome attacks there are, and the high resistance to Electricity is no joke. Also, my own Pokemon, Mudross, is a pure-ground =O

Sentro, notice the two ground types you pointed out both have dual weaknesses...taking advantage of their lower defense stat with a high attack stat to match and the move and STAB and whatever else, and they can fall easily...

Pokemon with dual weaknesses tend to have more resistances too ^_^

And the interesting thing with your strategy is that you're going to have to get Pokemon to specifically deal with these threats: giving a Grass-type move to any old Pokemon isn't going to do a lot; and we're talking about a Swampert here. Thus, that's one space used, when the Swampert itself is not meant to deal with those things. That's why we can switch Pokemon, remember?

And with Torterra, he's not staying in to deal with fast Special-attackers XD He's there to deal the damage and come out. With the power it packs, it can take out its enemies without too much of a hassle: if a fast special-sweeper is switched in when a comrade dies, Torterra can switch out to a Special wall, which will only take minimal damage, and guarantee a good kill. If a fast special-sweeper is switched in when a comrade isn't dead...

You'd better hope it has immunity to Torterra's attacks, because the first hit is going to HURT XD

... And of course, we're talking about types, not Pokemon XD

I personally like my ice-types, even though they're REALLY hard to get in MANY of the games. And all reasons are RSE-back, since I still don't have DP.

Reasons:

1. Kills many dragons, and Salamence, Rayquaza(!!!), Flygon, Altaria and Dragonite = DEAD when an Ice-Type appears. Pity when Kingdra appears, though...

2. Flyers are dead, except for Charizard, Articuno and Moltres. No more pesky Zapdos!

3. The Spheal family. Water + Ice + All Evolutions= HECK YES.

4. All of the Ice types look graceful and sweet. Except for Glalie and Regice, who just look awesome.

5. Finally, there's an ice-type Eevolution in DP!

Speaking of Spheal, Wrath, it's controversially the water type starter in my regionof Lectos.

And yes, I'd have to agree. Ice is a technically incredible type, five types it's strong against, including many common, powerful types, plus umpteen pokémon having dual weakness to it, now including Torterra and Garchomp too. Plus the fact that it has often been paired with water (wait, only six times? Blimey...) takes away its more common weaknesses...it almost seems a tad overpowered, wouldn't you say? WELL I WOULD :P

Hold the phone, completely random and irrellevant, but I've just had a message from someone at bulbapedia moaning at me for pointing out that Darkrai learns its signature move at level 66, one 6 short from the number of the devil. What's wrong with that, it's an obvious connection, and one Nintendo obviously wanted us to make...

Incidentally, the person who sent me the message and edited the point just to say "Dark Void is Darkrai's signature move learned at level 66" which is a pointless statement, obvious from the movepool above, goes by hte name Politoed666. Coincidence? I THINK NOT! This guy's obviously that devil in disguise that the singing guy was on about...
