Suicune 196. Unown 197. Lugia 198. Ho-oh 199. Darkrai 200. Phione 201. Manaphy 202. Celebi Now for the starters, I tried my best, I really did...Sentro's already criticised them enough...my explanation, the starters are pokémon rarely found in that region, imported from another. Some of those starters came from Lectos, while Lectos' starters came from abroad, ie, Kanto, Hoenn. You'll also notice some of the pokémon were specifically put in because I know others like them, ie, Spheal & family, Chinchou and Lanturn, etc. Now, the story... It all began with a big war of night vs day, ie, Solrock vs. Lunatone, Espeon vs. Umbreon, and of course, Ho-oh and Lugia. Now this war raged, devastating the region. Until Darkrai came along and split the region in two, with a bottomless crevasse. Ho-oh was banished to the west, and Lugia to the east. The player would start from Nestbourne and travel either on the eastern half or the western (there are 16 gyms to the region, 8 on each side of the crevasse, one would travel through all of them, up to the league at Premelite. The bridge would currently be in construction until post-league). I think that pretty much covers it...oh yeah, and the war would start up again later in the game... There's also a regional villain, Team Darkness (cliché I know, but it refers to the eternal darkness of the crevasse, not just being bad), who try to control Ho-oh, Lugia or Darkrai depending. Now, the cities and leaders, etc. Now, I'm proud to say that each and every one of them is a pun on at least one thing. I want you lot to try and guess them. You get one right and you win an optional episode idea for any of my series'. You can guess as much as you like, but only win two storylines. Sentro, don't guess ones we've already discussed please... The additional notes are completely unedited. You'll also notice that every city in my region is twinned with another... Nestbourne Town - Twinned with Percarod. Ruralia Town - Barney, Normal type, gym 2 - Farming village. Bridge over crevasse built nearby - Twinned with Creelawp. Noirville City - Luna, Dark type, gym 2 - Night longer. Near Lugia's resting place - Twinned with Pylar. Pylar City - Sol, Fire type, gym 1 - Day lasts longer. near Ho-oh's resting place - Twinned with Noirville. Riparine City - Brooke, Water type, gym 5 - River flows through - Twinned with Fanginsula. Glacicle City - Ace, Ice type, gym 8 - On top of Mt. ___ - Twinned with Pebstale. Jangalow City - Sid, Grass type, gym 4 - Jungle-like (Fortree). Safari Zone - Twinned with Cuparilive. Tilemium City - Aly, Steel type, gym 8 - Ultra modernised city. Provides Bridge materials - Twinned with Atmopsic. Fanginsula City - Liz, Dragon type, gym 6 - Peninsula, connected but not walkable - Twinned with Riparine. Pebstale City - Gemma, Rock type, gym 7 - Secluded. Mountainous - Twinned with Glacicle. Atmopsic (silent p) City - Simon, Psychic type, gym 6 - Regional weather station-employs gym leader - Twinned with Tilemium. Creelawp City - Annette, Bug type, gym 3 - Bug museum, safari zone. Gym leader dislikes bugs - Twinned with Ruralia. Harbisport Twon - Originally just a port for BattleNet. Cave connects to Cianwood - Twinned with Caputruin. Caputruin City - Former capital of Lectos. Built upon ruins - Twinned with Harbisport. Cienture Town - Various scientific museums. Fossils resurected here - Twinned with Sociere. Sociere Town - Church, trainer school, art museum, contest hall - Twinned with Cienture. Cuparilive Town - City of love, contest hall - Twinned with Jangalow. And then there's Premelite (League City). Here's the league of Lectos: Champion - Jack, mix type. 4 - Becky, Flying type. 3 - Trix, Electric type. 2 - Anthony, Bug type. 1 - Vince, Grass type. And...that's just about it...any questions you have I'll be willing to answer. Now I'd like to know everyone's opinions, and for people to start guessing puns... |

I don't have to listen to my mom, because I don't have one
Why exactly is that relevant? And Cuparilive...well, I dunno...love's a wonderful thing. I haven't thought into too much detail about what that would include, but there'd be things like ponds wherein one could catch Luvdisc... And yes, Darkrai banished them. What's your query? The fact that Darkrai is evil? In D/P, maybe, but not in the 10th movie... |

-boring explanation- Naaaah, it's that in my mind, there's a hierarchy of legends. Lugia and Ho-oh a higher level than Darkrai, though he's probably the most feared out of all the three. Lugia governs Death, Ho-oh governs Life. Souls, when they die, go to Lugia, who keeps them for a time equal to their time in life. She may sometimes choose to keep them with her as attendants if she wishes. Ho-oh then receives them, and decides if they are reborn, or if they were reaaaally bad in their past life, he sends them to Darkrai, who basically runs hell. Lugia and Ho-oh are two of the most powerful legends, second only to Mew, the Mother, who created all the other legends. Soyeah. -/boring explanation- Cuparilive should totally have Clamperls and their pearls too. And Spoink because Spoink have pearls. And Pokemon like Beautifly that have Attract as a level-up move and Cute-Charming Pokemon. |

The map... Well, Psyduck it may look like it came from scratch, but it's better than nothing. Nice idea. Oh, and how do you guys even know if Lugia's death and Ho-Oh's life? If that is a stupid question, I'm sorry. I'm just clueless because I didn't know. |

Yeah...well all that stuff about life, death and hell...that has nothing to do with Lectos... Anyway, I think Darkrai is on a higher plane than Lugia and Ho-oh. I mean, no matter what no devil-in-disguise-frog thinks, Darkrai is indisputably the devil, it learns its signature move at level 66 for a start, but I really have no idea where you got that stuff about Lugia and Ho-oh...sure, Ho-oh gave new life to the legendary dogs, but... Besides, I could think of at least one pokémon higher than Mew, which Mew most certainly did not create...in fact, I have no idea where this mumbo about Mew came from either, there was nothing to suggest that in any of its games. Arceus created Dialga and Palkia (and presumably Giratina along with them) who created the lake trio or something, and then all the other legendaries were born...Kyogre and Groudon squabled and created the world's terrain, from which most other legendaries, such as Heatran came to be... Also, Phoenix, I can't really have Clamperl or Beautifly, because they're not in the national dex, however, I suppose I could have Spoink... |

Eh. You -should- know I never pay attention. Bah, the Arceus-first myth annoys me muuuuch. Oh well. Anyway, the Mew stuff is probably because...I dunno. Mew's awesome like that? Lugia and Ho-oh being death and life...Eh. I'm not really sure. -sweatdrop- Go with the Ho-oh gave the legendary beasts new life, and if Lugia's his opposite, naturally she gets death. Or just go with the fact I'm insane. That works too. -steps back- That looks stupid. Kay then. If we're going to get into legendary debates (SQUEEYAY) who do you think technically has time, Celebi or Dialga? And does Shaymin have forests too? Because then Celebi has a good reason to despise both them. Yaaaaay. Does it actually say Arceus is the original one? -interest- I never really saw it. I figured you could scribble Mew over 'original one' or something. Meh. Ohwait, I'm getting off topic. Graaaah. -drags off- |

Well even though there appears to now be another topic where this would be more relevant, Arceus is definitely described in those exact words, "the original one" in one or two of the books in Canalave Library, plus its classification is as the Alpha Pokémon...hmm...maybe I should give Alex an Arceus Zord, whatcha reckon?

The Boss Baddie Who Never Fights
|
I have a slightly different idea. I know these legendaries are suppose to be genderless but oh well. First, there was Arceus and the glitch known as Missingno. A battle was fought between these two which Arceus won by completely destroying Missingno. Wounded from the fight, Arceus was forced to split his power up. Dialga- To personify the aging of all things caused by Time Palkia- To personify the physical world However, the world that was created was very empty so more work had to be done. Kyorge-Lord Of The Oceans Groudon- Lord Of The Earth The first two subordinates of Palkia began to wage war with one another trying to perform better than the other. Rayquaza, the third subordinate of Palkia, pacified the battle. The fourth subordinate, Regigigas, towed the continents formed by Groudon's battle into place. To aid him, Regigigas created Regice, Regirock, and Registeel. The first subordinates of Dialga was Celibi who drew power from its master and Shaymin, who did not. Shaymin was charged with bringing plant life to the world while Celibi was charged with going forward in time to check on Shaymin's progress then going back to inform Shaymin of any mistakes. Arceus, weary of the amount of power that was being wielded by Dialga and Palkia, created Uxie, Mespirt, and Azelf and this trinity of Pokemon sealed away Dialga and Palkia. Mespirt grew lonely as she surveyed the barren world. She wished for more beings with emotion like her and the thought caused the Pokemon to cry. Out of that tear came Jirachi, the Wish Maker. Jirachi granted Mespirt's wish and humanity and other Pokemon came into being. Azelf and Uxie were overjoyed by this and went to work. At this time, humanity shared many of the same powers as Pokemon but were too weak to use them. Out of pity, Uxie gave them the ability to learn to help them to survive. Out of pity, Mespirit gave humanity the ability to feel emotion. Still, early man was dying out so Azelf gave humanity the most powerful skill of all, willpower. Unfortunately, early man became a threat to Pokemon. Because of this threat, Arceus created Mew. Mew sealed away their powers. Uxie and Mespirt realized that humankind needed to be kept on the right path and with Arceus' help, Darkai was created. Darkai would visit humans and haunt them with bad dreams if they had been commiting evil and reward humans with good dreams if they had been commiting good. Arceus created three more Pokemon. Ho-Oh- Symbolizes Death and Rebirth Lugia- Symbolizes the Judge that weighs sins Giratina- Symbolizes the Punisher of Evil That's all that I have right now. What does everyone think? I know Missingno isn't officially recognized but it did appear in the original Pokemon Red and Blue. About the map, great. I can't really tell much of a difference though. I'm colorblind. |

But...it's an...interesting theory, but it contradicts canon...Regirock, Regice and Registeel were created to be keys to awaken Regigigas, and were sent to Hoenn so ts stupendous strength would never haunt the world again...that was stated in some form in canon...possibly at Canalave library, possibly some random passing old person... |

Okay, time to start guessing. I might end up sending a certain someone to help me here. In order, based on city. Nestbourne Town - Born from the nest. Ruralia Town - Yeah, a Farming Village is in a RURAL area. Noirville City - Luna, Dark type, gym 2 - Noir is a very close word to Nox, the Latin word for Darkness. Pylar City - Sol, Fire type, gym 1 - Pylar is quite close to Pyro, and Sol is very close to the Latin word for sun, I think. Riparine City - Brooke, Water type, gym 5 - River flows through - Twinned with Fanginsula. Glacicle City - Ace, Ice type, gym 8 - Ace is quite close to Ice Jangalow City - Sid, Grass type, gym 4 - It's a jungle out there! Tilemium City - Aly, Steel type, gym 8 - Tiled skin is often seen on a Steel type, and some tiles are made out of steel, and I love how you made a character based off of me an eighth gym leader Fanginsula City - Liz, Dragon type, gym 6 - Fang resembles the Dragon Fang, and it has a peninsula. Obvious. Oasand City - Sandy, Ground type, gym 4 - Sandy, ground-type area based on Oasis and Sand Cobbelet City - Sam, Fighting type, gym 3 - I have no idea Lightberg City - Disused Power Plant, port, no gym - Former power plant has obvious LIGHT pun Dececus Town - Ash, Ghost type, gym 7 - No clue here Percarod Town - Percy, Flying type, gym 1 - Percarod has some resemblance to Pecking Leupron City - Frank, Poison type, gym 5 - No idea Pebstale City - Gemma, Rock type, gym 7 - Pebble is the base of the gym name Atmopsic (silent p) City - Simon, Psychic type, gym 6 - The regional weather center is in a town based off the ATMOSPHERE Creelawp City - Annette, Bug type, gym 3 - No clue here Harbisport Twon - Originally just a port for BattleNet. Cave connects to Cianwood - Well, Harbisport, it's a harbor meant for sport. Caputruin City - Former capital of Lectos. Built upon ruins - Once again, no idea Cienture Town - Various scientific museums. Fossils resurected here - I really don't know Sociere Town - Church, trainer school, art museum, contest hall - I don't know. Cuparilive Town - City of love, contest hall - I wish I knew. And then there's Premelite (League City). Here's the league of Lectos: Champion - Jack, mix type. Once again, I don't know 4 - Becky, Flying type. Becky is very close to BEAKY. 3 - Trix, Electric type. Electrics = ElecTRIX. 2 - Anthony, Bug type. I have no clue here. 1 - Vince, Grass type. Vince is very close to Vine. Most of these are quite obvious. |

Indeed, many of them were rather obvious...although a few that you did guess you got wrong...tee-hee
I'm also curious that on the league the only one you didn't get was the most obvious of all the league members, and perhaps one of the most obvious puns I've put in there! ANThony...whoops...gave one - or two - away... Nestbourne Town - Born from the nest Well I hadn't thought about the born bit, but yes, you got the nest bit, that was fairly obvious...but "bourne" is just a suffix... Ruralia Town - Yeah, a Farming Village is in a RURAL area. Got it in one. No clue on the gym leader, Barney? Noirville City - Luna, Dark type, gym 2 - Noir is a very close word to Nox, the Latin word for Darkness. Well...you pretty much got it, only it actually is taken direct as noir, the French (I think) name for black. Again, you didn't guess the gym leader...although you got the next one which is virtually identical in principle... Pylar City - Sol, Fire type, gym 1 - Pylar is quite close to Pyro, and Sol is very close to the Latin word for sun, I think. Exactamundo. But sol isn't just close, it IS the Latin word for sun. Hmm...skipped Riparine... Glacicle City - Ace, Ice type, gym 8 - Ace is quite close to Ice Well...S'pose so...although really it came from - ah, but that would give away the (VERY OBVIOUS) city name pun... Jangalow City - Sid, Grass type, gym 4 - It's a jungle out there! Eh...right...I think...gym leader skipped again... Tilemium City - Aly, Steel type, gym 8 - Tiled skin is often seen on a Steel type, and some tiles are made out of steel, and I love how you made a character based off of me an eighth gym leader BUZZ! Sorry, you didn't get none of that. I mean, yes, the character isbased on you (at least in name), but the city was way off... Fanginsula City - Liz, Dragon type, gym 6 - Fang resembles the Dragon Fang, and it has a peninsula. Obvious. Too right it is. Oasand City - Sandy, Ground type, gym 4 - Sandy, ground-type area based on Oasis and Sand Got all of it. Oh ho, no clue on Cobbelet...interesting... Lightberg City - Disused Power Plant, port, no gym - Former power plant has obvious LIGHT pun Yeah...don't think I got the berg from anywhere in particular... You didn't get Dececus...ooh, I'm starting to want to just splurt them all out!! Percarod Town - Percy, Flying type, gym 1 - Percarod has some resemblance to Pecking Well I suppose it does, but that's not where it came from... Leupron...actually, I can't remember that myself...pretty much the only one I've forgotten...it might be French...I just know I would have used my dictionary to find it...I remember where Frank came from though... Pebstale City - Gemma, Rock type, gym 7 - Pebble is the base of the gym name Yup...think the "sta" might have come from some where, but I forget... Atmopsic (silent p) City - Simon, Psychic type, gym 6 - The regional weather center is in a town based off the ATMOSPHERE Got half of it...the fact it's a silent p should give away the other half... Creelawp...kind of obscure and random, but also kinda cute I think...I mean, as cute as bugs can be... Well I think the next three are all of Latin origin...well, the next two at least...and the fourth one...well, it's composed of three different words... Well the three league peeps you guessed were right, but I said before that the name Jack wasn't taken from anywhere other than to complete the Dimension Warriors. I couldn't think of any relevant pun on my name. So I just bunged it in with a mix of it all...only one where you guessed the people but not the city name... Anyway, should you want them, you just won a pair of storylines for any season, potentially making you the first to submit episodes for PREF, PRL, and PRUS. |

I'll just say "Decesus" should be off "Decease" and I'm unhappy you got Noir wrong (but only because it's the name of one of my characters from Pokemon Go XD) ... which is weird, because that character has nothing dark except her past. I don't know why I named her noir, really =3 Riparine... Riptide and marine? Something of the sort, I'm guessing. Brooke is a very obvious pun. Thank her for that convenience. Tilemium is interesting. Reminds you of a lot of metals, ne? The periodic table may be checked for details (i.e. the -ium suffix). The first part, "tile", I'm not too sure about, actually. Cobbelet might be a combination of "clobber" and "gauntlet", both terms often used in dumb fights. (Gauntlet, additionally, can be used in weird games like "Jack runs the Poke Rangers Dimension Warriors Gauntlet!" Oh, and you can't have Anthony without "Ant"... but then that's just silly ![]() I'd say "Caput Ruin" was kinda obvious, too ![]() ... And the rest seem to have been taken out of some English-Foreign Language Dictionary... since I'm only actually proficient in English, German, Chinese, with only a small smattering of Japanese, Latin and French, I can't do more but guess from the etymology. Oh; on a final note, Aly didn't mention Premelite being Premier and Elite put together, as well... I'm doing the obvious ones because I can

No foreign language dictionaries used whatsoever, either I just came up with them myself, like Ruralia (incidentally the first city I came up with) or I got it out of my truly wonderful but ordinary English Dictionary. Yes, Dececus is a corrpution of decease(d), and if you're going to say I got "noir" wrong, then I would like you to tell me how, Sentro... I'm afraid you got nothing on Riparine, and you didn't exactly say where the pun on Brooke came from...but then I don't think anyone really needs that pointed out... I'm gonna give a clue on Tilemium, because people are starting to think the main part is "tile". It's a very well known metal combined with another word that isn't actually an element at all. In fact, the metal in question has been used as a Ranger power. If nobody can get it with that SUPREMELY MEGA clue, then I'll have to kill you all, I'm afraid. Wrong on Cobbelet, although I do really like the gauntlet part...actually, that might have been where I got the "let" part from, so I'll say you got half of that. If Caputruin is obvious, then would you care to explain? Because I can tell that just by saying "Caput Ruin" you haven't got it. You've got half, but not the other half... Obviously Anthony and Annette are both puns on ant, and yes, Premelite is a combination of premier and elite. So you get up to two storylines with that, should you want them. Now here are the cities and people not yet correctly guessed in full: Barney Luna Riparine Glacicle, Ace Sid Tilemium, Aly Liz Cobbelet, Sam Ash Percarod, Percy Leupron, Frank Gemma Atmopsic, Simon Creelawp Harbisport Caputruin Cienture Sociere Cuparilive. I'd have thought some of those are really obvious... |

OOH I WANNA DO SOME OF THE OBVIOUS ONES. Luna - Latin for moon. I have a character named Luna. Definitely really obvious. Tilemium, Aly - Not really sure, but it makes me think of titanium for some reason. o____o Creelawp - a mix of creep and crawl. Aren't bugs sometimes "creepie-crawlies" or whatever? Ash - makes me think of cremation. Gemma - UHHELLOGEM. Gems are found in rock. Kayendofstory. Cuparilive - Cupid and...NO IDEA. The cupid part was obvious. Sociere - something to do with social/society? Glacicle - Glacier and icicle. Are icy things. END OF STORY. And Ace is part of glacier. Kinda. Cienture - science and procedure, maybe. Cobbelet - taken from Maylene of Veilstone's badge, the Cobble Badge. Aaaand Sentro said the gauntlet part already. Atmopsic - Atmosphere and psi/psychic. Can't think of the other ones. Meh. |
