First, the description, Mareep is the closest thing we have to a goat in Pokémon! I mean come on, they must have done every single type of fish there is, from coelacanth to discus (see if you can guess what Pokémon are based on those, btw, shouldn't be hard), and all the other obscure reptiles and things out there. And then for the common animals they have done they've done several hundred billion of them, like cats, dogs, and especially mice and rats... Whereas there are plenty of really common animals they haven't done, like goats, and donkeys! I think they should have a donkey Pokémon (my idea was a rock type) that when bred with Ponyta or Rapidash would produce a mule (so fire/rock). And hedgehogs, because let's face it, especially with the Sky Forme, Shaymin is not a hedgehog. I've always wanted one called "Hodge", although that's probably too obvious for the kind of names you get with Pokémon... Still, I've also thought with Nintendo and Sega being so friendly recently that they should have a hedgehog based Pokémon that has the Dex colour blue, the breeding group Humanshape, and an especially high Speed stat...which then evolves into a golden one with simply uber stats... Oh, and they need some big cats, because whatever anyone says, neither Persian, Luxray, nor the Legendary Beasts, are big cats! Anyway, onto the topic now, and I realised whilst ranting there that that rant was kind of on-topic after all. Basically, in this topic, come here to rant about anything in any media, but particularly the games that annoys you about Pokémon. So yeah, that's my first point, the animals still needing to be represented. I mean, I know that just leaves some for the future, like they left penguins to the fourth generation (Hmm? Wassat? Delibird? Well Delibird's obviously not a penguin, for several off-topic reasons...and let's face it, Delibird sucks...)...ok, fine, they left squirels and skunks until now. Another point, and the point I started this topic for; normal types, oh how I hate them. They pretty much all have such beautiful movepools, but never the stats to use them. They either have just piles of special moves, but a rubbish special stat and a high physical stat, like Snorlax, or piles of both special and physical moves, but low stats for both attacks, like, as I've just discovered, Lickilicky. I saw a Lickilicky using Power Whip in my Pearl just now, so I got to thinking that maybe with a few more good moves I could use it in Pearl, only to have my dreams crushed. Not to mention they're strong against nothing, and many types in fact resist them... So yeah, what gets you riled up? Oh, and here's why Delibird isn't a penguin. 1. Penguins live only in the southern hemisphere, but Delibird is shown to be owned by, designed after, and clearly created simply to base a few more anime episodes around, Santa, who is obviously well known for living in the north. 2. Penguins can swim, but Delibird can't swim, never mind Surf! 3. Er...thought there were more reasons than that... Wassat? I didn't mention Delibird can fly but penguins can't? But penguins can fly, you fool! |
