I have been calculating the reviews so far, and here are the results: ESTIMATED: MMPR Season 1: 194 MMPR Season 2: 259 MMPR Season 3: 199 PROO: 167 PRT: 34*** in progress So, something must have happened that caused a trend of reviews to decrease. Maybe it was my writing, maybe it was the change of plot between each series... So far, I have 853 reviews estimated... i may have double counted with Season 3 because Season 3 was definitely the bomb that caused the series to go downhill. Anyway, here's what could happen if Turbo continues at a steady rate... A) Turbo will most likely be discontinued, ending the Poke Rangers series. B) Turbo will end Season 5 and the Hoenn Saga C) Turbo could make a miracle and In Space could possibly save the series. D) If the stats reach a high rate, Poke Rangers In Space could save it... There's a lot of factors that could be the problem. I am using a lot of Carranger humor... and the enemies are not that fierce and powerful like the ones from before. But, basically, if I don't get someone besides Starfighter reading and reviewing Turbo ASAP... Poke Rangers Hoenn may see its end. But, depending on the stats will also figure out if the series stays in business. So, any thoughts about this analysis? |

Yankee, if you're writing this just to get reviews, then you shouldn't be writing in the first place. A true writer writes for the love of writing, not to become popular. The reason you have less readers/reviewers nowadays is because everybody does; there are simply less people reading the series now, for various reasons. For example, I no longer read Poké Rangers because I don't have time. But you think that's a low number of reviews? Johto: 140 Neo: 147 You get way more than I did. There are, however, various reasons why Turbo could be less popular. One is that you're basing it on Power Rangers Turbo, arguably the least popular series of Power Rangers of all time. Because of how unpopular Turbo was, the show was due to be cancelled after PRIS, but that series was so popular they kept going (that's why before IS it was one long cotinual stream, whereas after that series didn't continue directly on from each other). Another is that the name suggests it's based on Power Rangers, whereas you've just said yourself the material is more derived from Carranger. Because of this you're limiting your audience even more; a lot of people aren't interested in at least one of those three programmes, so you're serving an incredibly niche audience. But anyway, popularity is something a TV network would be looking for, not the writer. If you don't want to write unless you can be popular, then you shouldn't be writing. Nobody is always popular. |

Well, that is true. Nobody is actually popular. I still have ideas for Turbo that are popping in my head... because technically when I wrote this, I wanted to get AWAY from Power Rangers Turbo. I'm worried about what will happen when I write off Jack, Danny, Amii, and Jenna in a couple chapters. To tell you the truth, I did extensive research and I found out that Carranger was not a typical sentai series, it actually saved the Super Sentai series because Power Rangers Zeo's counterpart was really... horrible. (Which is quite, weird) I've been thinking about what you said when it came to the reviews and you're right. I should write because of how much effort I put into the fic and not just wait for people to reply to it. Edited by Yankee Blaze, Jul 4 2009, 05:10 PM.

I haven't commented your latest chapter becuase I couldn't come up with something creative. And I do only have 13 reviews for my Poké Ranger fic, but that doesn't stop me from writing (but being dry of ideas does slow me down a bit). Then I haven't really been reading so much Poké Rangers (except for yours). I don't know why? Maybe I am lazy? But keep trying and see what happens. By some reason so do I think that if your stories whould end, then it whould be the "In Space" storyline with a good ending. But it's your stories, so you decide what will happen. |

Glad to hear it Yankee. Yeah, I could believe Ohranger wasn't that popular...nothing particularly special or exciting happened in Zeo...ok, so they had the first crossover...Jason came back...Bulk and Skull were awesome...there a fair few moments for the history books. Turbo simply wasn't popular because they got rid of all the Rangers. Everyone loved Tommy, and to a lesser extent the other three. It wasn't that the new four were bad characters, they just replaced characters that everyone loved, so they were judged for it. And Justin, well he was doomed for the start...him, and that ridiculous voice they gave Alpha six, not forgetting all the characters leaving, were what doomed the series. |

It wasn't the point of it being so popular. The storylines that were made for Ohranger almost cost the Super Sentai series. Power Rangers would have been done in 4 years if it weren't for this series. The storylines were dark, and it contained, like you said, nothing spectacular and there was too much darkness for the people to comprehend. Even bringing back the Gold Ranger from ancient times didn't help. Young children these days can grasp the fact of war in Japan, but they won't be able to understand the dark tones of a storyline. If you understand what I mean... I wonder how it will be once Danny does leave the scene and go to his journey like he was originally planning to do. Edited by Yankee Blaze, Jul 6 2009, 06:15 AM.
