Well slaughtered Clair with just a Gyarados and Weavile. Caught a bunch of pokemon in the safari zone (Is it just me or are they making pokemon harder to catch there?) Went and battled the Kimono Girls. They are challenging. Hint: They send out the eeveelutions in this order: Umbreon, Espeon, Flareon, Jolteon, Vaporeon. Now going to try and capture Lugia. Then i'll take the home straight to the league. |

I hated Clair. Clair was the hardest for me to destroy. EASIEST GYM LEADERS: Whitney Morty Falkner Chuck Jasmine Pryce Bugsy I had to go to that gym THREE times to defeat her. |

Weren't you saying a while ago that Falkner was tricky? S, you're saying that all the gym leaders in Johto are easier than Clair. That's the way it's supposed to be. Eighth gym leader is always tougher than the other... Giovanni, Clair, Wallace/Juan and Volkner. I have noticed the kimono girls wandering around. Strange indeed. |

Whitney? Besides Clair Whitney was the biggest challenge! Seriously, she and Pryce were the only ones to knock out any of my Pokémon, and Pryce only managed because I used Donphan and Murkrow against him...they never stood a chance... I never let the gym leaders beat. Any time they do or are about to I just turn off the game, having saved before starting the battle. It's really not worth losing the money. I suppose I could save up with the mother first...hmm... Anywho, time for today's round-up. Heart Gold Not so much done today. Not beaten Clair yet, I've been training a fair bit. I've checked out the Safari Zone though. It's interesting, lots of rare Pokémon available in there right from the off. Once I'm able to move the zones in a few days I'll have access to an area where Larvitar can be caught. That was the rarest Pokémon I found out of those that can be caught there without the blocks. If you're lucky the default setting will include the area where you can catch Larvitar, or areas where you can catch whatever... Anywho, now it's a bit of a waiting game until Baoba calls about the second challenge... And that's all I've really got done in the game today. Until I get past Clair the updates will be slow, but hopefully I'll be past her by tomorrow... |

Well the elite four are quite easy actually. Got up to Lance but i realised i didnt buy any revives lol. So when my pokemon were knocked out that was it. His Gyarados took down my Weavile then i finished him up with my own Gyarados. HIs Dragonite then killed my GYarados and Typhlosion. I then used Ambipom who got a critical hit in with double hit, knocking it out. Then he goes and sends out another Dragonite! It then wiped out my Ambipom. I sent out Lugia wwhose Aeroblast weakened it a lot. Lance healed it but Lugia got a critical hit. He then sent out Aerodactyl. Killed it one hit with Hydro Pump. He sent out Charizard where i KOed him with Hydro Pump again. He then sent out another Dragonite! Lugia was getting low on health too. I tried using Extrasensory to make it flinch but it didnt. Dragonite finished off Lugia with Hyber Beam. I sent out dragonair, hoping for a miracle. Coz Dragonite had to recharge, Dragonair got in a Dragon Pulse. It took off a big chunk of his health. But Dragonite was still faster and KOed Dragonair with Twister. I gonna go train some more in victory road where the pokemon are at a half decent lvl. |

You should see the team Lance has in the rematch. Salamence, Charizard, Garchomp, Gyarados, Altaria and Dragonite. Ouch. All in the levels late sixties to mid seventies. Now, that's a champion. |

I think I'm getting addicted to Voltorb Flip. Need the coins to get a Dratini... And, you actually have to win them on HG and SS. What the crap!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |

You dont need the coins for dratini unless u wanty one early. U get one in Blackthorn city after beating claire adn pass the test from the elder. Youll even get it with extremespeed. On another note with voltrob flip, say u earn 3 coins but u dont want to lose it all just quit out of it and u keep the coins. |

Three coins isn't exactly a lot though, considering how many you can/need to win. Plus quitting drops you down levels. Damn. Apparently I wasn't compassionate enough. I didn't get Dratini...whoops. Hmm...but according to Serebii.net's guide on Crystal (in which the test is the same...) I should have passed...I didn't even get the normal Dratini... |

Cool, got your Wi-Fi sorted? Or just for, in future, if we can? Yeah, kinda forgot to give you an update last night. Haven't done much (yet) today, and it's getting one, so I'll just incorporate yesterday's into today. |

That's the same as pretty much anyone, you have to be near a router or whatever to connect :S My laptop can't connect to the Internet unless I'm at home, or a place with an unsecured network. Now, in link battles your Pokémon can be rounded to level 50, yes? Once I've reached that sort of level we'll work out a time for our battle. EDIT: Heart Gold What and update I have for you now! Spoilers of epic proportions! First off, I beat Clair. 'Twas tough, but I did it. Went to the Dragon's Den, did the quiz. DIDN'T get my Dratini, which annoyed me. But I didn't pursue it... Went to Elm, got the Master Ball, he told me the Kimono Girls were looking for me, and here's where major spoilers kick in. Spoiler: click to toggle I didn't want to have to catch Ho-oh immediately at this point, I was hoping to be able to come back to it, go to the League first...but when you try to surf in New Bark Town, guess who gets in the way? Freaking Lyra! So she finally has a point in existing, and it's to stop me doing what I want! I officially hate this character. Anyway...after a lot of Dusk Balls, I managed to catch it at night. Then came Routes 27 & 26. I like these routes. They're two of the best routes in the Pokémon world for one reason; the trainers here replace heaving trainers in Victory Road. Victory Road is deeply annoying, usually, because whilst you have to contend with the wild Pokémon and the maze, the trainers just make it more difficult. This time, thanks to many Repels in the Victory Road, all I had to deal with was the puzzle, which I enjoyed. I don't mind trainers when they're the only real problem, because then they're good for levelling up. Johto splits the burdens of Victory Road in other regions. Very good. I tested out the League to see how much training I'd need to do, saving before trying. It's actually looking like not too much is needed; I managed to beat Will with two Pokémon standing, so with plenty of medicine, along with actually having all the moves I want my Pokémon to have, I reckon the League'll be no problem. The main problem, however, is finding a good way to train. The VS Seeker, as seen in FRLG & DPP, is, I think, an essential in Pokémon games from now on. It actually makes training for occasions like this feasible. One thing that made me quite sad. Remember the guy with the Abra, at the League, who'd Teleport you back to New Bark Town? He's still there... but in HGSS certain locations count as in both regions; Routes 26 & 27 including Tohjo Falls, Victory Road, and the Pokémon League (interestingly, Mt Silver is only Johto whilst Route 28 is only Kanto). Both Victory Road and the Pokémon League can be flown to & from. That means if you're at the League you can fly to anywhere in Kanto OR Johto (essentially making it possible, via two flights, to fly between regions. The funny thing is, because of how they split, you can't fly from Route 28 to Mt Silver, a mere few steps away!). That means he's not needed. He just says trainers tend to fly everywhere recently, and that he and Abra feel left out. I felt so bad for his bits of data... Anyway, I've done a little something else today. I traded Arceus over from Pearl and went to the Ruins of Alph. Now it's time for spoilers... Spoiler: click to toggle Hopefully tomorrow I'll beat the League, but no promises. I'm thinking of trading to Platinum to train a bit. Edited by Psyduck Ranger, Apr 1 2010, 09:53 PM.

I've added a Growlithe and a Murkrow to my team. Just got to Ecruteak City and released the legendary dogs. Next, I'm off to go and hand Morty's ass to him. Current team is Croconaw, Flaafy, Nidorino, Murkrow and Growlithe. Not sure what the sixth will be in there yet. I didn't have that much trouble with Whitney this time. I kinda played it smart. Aka sent out my female Flaafy to start against Miltank, so that Attract was useless. Then, once the Rollout started, I managed to take her down with Nidorino and Croconaw. Forgotten how much I dislike battling that Miltank. Also tried the Pokemon athletics thing. It was okay. Maybe something I'll crack down with after I've done the main quest. Heh, I also met Eusine. What a freak. What pisses me off about Victory Road, is that I usually can't go through with my strongest team. Because some jackass designer at Nintendo decided to put smashable rocks in there. Therefore, I have to take something in that I'm not going to use against the Elite Four and I'm weaker for it. ****s. |
