I'll be trading to Platinum again and bored out of my skull before level 60.
Which, considering you need levels in the high 80's to have a hope at all...

You really don't. Red's an easy battle. His levels are high, sure, but he's one trainer, and NPCs are never as good as a real person playing them would be.It'd be a challenge with lower levels, but not impossible. Especially since his Pokémon are all different types, so you can just choose one member of your party to focus on it. For example, my Donphan will obliterate his Pikachu with a single Earthquake, and could probably do the same to Charizard with Rock Slide.

The PokéWalker

Depressing news... I lost it out in a field yesterday...it sucks...poor Hoppip...I was really looking forward to Jumpluff...Hoppip's not a Pokémon I often bother training, so I never have Jumpluff. I was gonna use it in the Pokéathlon...

At least I can recall it... Still, PokéWalkers should be sold seperately for a few quid too, for this kind of depressing situation.

Keep your fingers crossed that Nintendo continues to be awesome, and brings over the Movie 13 events. It's just been confirmed that Celebi will be given away at the next movie. It's also known that all three legendary beasts - in shiny, with special moves, will be given away. Quite frankly, Raikou has, by far, the best moveset - Zap Cannon, Aura Sphere, Weather Ball and Extremespeed. Raikou has great special attack and speed too. With these additions, Raikou can easily use electric, water, fighting, psychic, ghost and bug type moves...it's the best beast and yet always the least feature...

Do more Poke Walker courses appear when you've beaten the Elite Four?

No...well, maybe. Each course supposedly takes place in a certain region (according to Serebii), the earlier ones are Johto (possibly Kanto), then later ones are Hoenn & Sinnoh. Obviously you need watts to get there anyway, but you probably don't have enough watts to unlock those courses pre-League anyway. But, I couldn't really tell you...especially since I lost my PokéWalker...

EDIT: Question; I've caught all three dogs, Latias, Zapdos, and Ho-oh. Who do you think I should use my Master Ball on? There's Mewtwo, the other two birds, Lugia, or Kyogre...

Personally? I'd use the Masterball on Mewtwo.

I haven't been playing it a lot lately.

It's the unwritten law that you have to use the Master Ball on Mewtwo... Wait a second, you can get Mewtwo in that game? Awesome.

Anyway, I don't care. I'm planning to import a bunch of Master Balls over via Pal Park. Just grab what I need to progress until then. E.g Ho-oh, I presume.

How do you have a load of Master Balls on a GBA game? Just really lucky on the lottery, traded around, or something a bit more sinister? :P

Yeah, Mewtwo's in it, Cerulean Cave still stands in these games. But I don't see why that automatically qualifies it for a Master Ball...maybe I'll just save it for Gen V...or if I ever get Soul Silver...

I got a copy of Emerald off the Internet, and it had a bunch of Master Balls on the cart. Plus, a lot of Pokemon. Including a Glalie that knows Blaze Kick for some reason.

So, sinister I think applies it most muchly. And, my syntax has gone off the boil.

Tsk, see, why d'you wanna mess around with that stuff for? It's the opiate of the Pokémon metaworld!

I don't ever play the metagame. And, I've never used any of the Pokemon like that. Apart from the Gengar with Doom Desire. That I've used to train Pokemon in Diamond with the EXP share.

I didn't ask for it, it was on the cart when I bought it. The unlimited Master Balls and Rare Candy is handy, but I only use the Master Balls, fine and dandy.

Oh crap, I'm doing that rhyming thing again.

I said metaworld, not metagame, big difference. "Meta", in this context, just means something directly related to the games but outside it. So the Pokémon metagame is when you play the game with others (usually by battling), the metaworld is just any interaction you have with the games in the real world (beyond things like playing it, where you're essentially in the game). Cheats & cloned things and whatever else you might add come under metaworld.

It might have come with those things, didn't mean you had to use them. You could have just started a new game.

Dude, I'm not going to turn down a bunch of Master Balls and rare Pokemon after paying fifteen quid for the damn game.

Stop looking the frickin' horse in the mouth.
