The Boss Baddie Who Never Fights
|
I finally got my copy of Black. Went and got myself a female Snivy (Now Servine) which I named Mia, for breeding purposes due to the lack of Ditto for a very long while. Right now, I'm at Nacrene City. Has anyone notice the EXP distrubition favors the lower level Pokémon whenever you switch in the middle of the battle? I say that's pretty nifty if you're training Pokémon to a certain level, but annoying if it's not the one you're training. The new Y Button menu sure makes things easier to get done, especially when trying to get to the medicine bag after certain battles between Pokémon Centers and rest houses. I'm thinking of either holding back on transfering my Gen 4 Pokémon onto Black due to the fact that my teams rely on the items they're holding, which would greatly affect their attacks (Especially my Latias, Naomi), that or I'll clone them. An Edit Later: I just smacked Lenora's Watchog with my Lv. 18 Patrat.

Sweet! =D Yesterday, I lost to Clay and defeated Clay the second time around and I wiped the floor with Brycen and Skyla TODAY! =D I am about to face Iris, but I need to train my Pokemon. They all at around where the Gym Leader is at Level 42. But, courtesy of the Lucky Egg, I might train them to like Level 45. I also need to evolve my Pansear. :) My team so far... Liepard Pansear Unfezant Zebstrika Samurott Musharma... I want to teach it Psychic. Does anybody know where TM29 is? That is if TM29 is still Psychic. |

Yes, TM29 is still Psychic. Always has been and always will be, it's too valuable a move. However, as I've stated above, it's not available until post-league, on Route 13. Blimey, I think I evolved Pansear as soon as it learned Flame Burst. Did you want it to know Crunch? |

I'll agree that Skyla was way too easy for the sixth gym leader. Or it might have been my level 40 Zebstrika being a bit tougher than her entire team. I filled the final slot in my team... It's an ice type. Anyone want to guess, that's your only clue. Woah, Yankee. Mine are between level 40 and 45 and I'm not that far along yet. Apart from that one I got recently, but the ones I've had for a while are all in that range. Strange actually, I have been using the Lucky Egg more than the EXP share this game. Which is unusual. Interesting that, Flash. My Oshawott was female (The Samurott still is, lol) which I thought was surprising, given that there's nearly a 90% chance of it being male. What it actually is, there's a sign that tells you this, if a Pokémon beats one that's a higher level, it gets more experience. Personally, I've always been an advocat of a system where the 'mon gets more experience if it beats something that is strong against its type. So, if grass beats fire, it gets more points. |

Gotta be Beartic. It's the only one worth using. My team was all level 45 when I beat the League, which is why I wanted to train more first. I'm not keen on battling Wild Pokémon, it's hardly worth it. Suppose Audino is, but...eh. Yeah, my Pansear was female, same gender odds there. 'Twas quite nice. |

Yep, it is Beartic. *Does best Matt Smith impersonation possible* Polar bears are cool. Not only did they used to advertise Cresta and had a decent role in His Dark Materials, but now we've got Beartic. Pity it can only learn Ice Punch by breeding. That move seems tailor made, really. Might use that grass and fighting type legendary when I get to it in my team, but probably not pre-Elite Four. Otherwise, I think I've got a pretty decent mix in there. I've got water, fire, rock/flying, electric, ice and ground/dark. |

wel I finally got white and so far I've just beaten the first gym and on my team I have Dewott, Herdier, Pidove, Patrat and Blitzle. Though I'm going to round out the team in Nacrene city, possibly add a Timburr or Sawk to help out for normal gym and then get Sewaaddle as soon as access to the inside of Pinwheel Forest is granted. |

As of right now, I am in Opelucid City trying to get my eighth badge, but I'm training my Liepard. It's at Level 40 and when it battles, the opponent literally butchers the living crap out of my Liepard >:( |

I'm only half joking. I can see what it's meant to be, some sort of stag or something... But it does look like a goat. Edit. Damn, Ghetsis' Hydreigon is annoying. Edited by Blue Bongo, Mar 17 2011, 09:35 AM.

Time to start planning my Black team. I might start tomorrow. EDIT: Simipour Volcarona (going to trade in Larvesta early to raise it from the get go). Whimsicott (I may also trade that, as the Cottonee you get from the in-game trade in White is perfect) Sawsbuck Eelektross Golurk I'm excited for this team :) |

I'm ashamed to say that I beat Ghetsis' Hydreigon the cheap way. Just heal every time it uses Dragon Pulse on my Samurott, then when that's run out of PP for Dragon Pulse which was mincing my squad, leather the thing repeatedly. Which I did. It wasn't the prettiest fight you'll ever see, but... The ironic thing about that was that his previous four had gone down really easy. I'm finding it a bit annoying now that it's after the Elite Four battles and all the roaming trainer's Pokémon's levels are in the sixties. I mean, come on!!! Toughest members of the Elite Four aren't even fifty by that point, so some scrot with a Croagunk could beat them in theory. Just using Croagunk as an example, nothing against it, I quite like it. I even had one on Diamond. Also, I got offered a Rotom in trade for a Ditto, which was pretty sweet I thought. I mean, Rotom isn't great, but hey, still thought the offer was sweet. If only I had a Ditto... |
