Maybe.

Or it could be in the huge area between Sinnoh and Kanto.

Actually, purely from the selfish point of view, I hope that there's some good new electric types in Black and White, and it comes out before I start to write Lightning Warriors. Lol.

Cripes, the area Sinnoh was based on is huge.

Electric happens to be one of my favorite types, myself. I would love new Electric type pokemon like a Bug/Electric or Fire/Electric.

Bug and electric I could see working. Electric and fire might not really work. Although I could be proved wrong.

Electric/Dragon? Electric/Ice?

We've had a water/grass type before: Lotad, so I see no reason why a Fire/Electric couldn't work. But that may just be me.

Water and grass are strongly in tune in natural. Plants need water to live.

That said, fire and electric also tie together. That's the basis for Eddie & Sabrina's joint attack in Johto - "Forest Fire Double Attack" - lightning can cause fire.

Among the many Pokémon I've made up over the years was an electric eel that lives in lava. Fire and electric...there.

:P

Here's the latest Serebii has reported the starters will be revealed on Pokémon Sunday on May 16th. He reckons Corocoro will show them first, to be released on May 15th, and that we'll probably have the first details at the beginning of next week. Squee!

Nice one!!!!

That makes up for the general deflation which my terrible double entendre caused.

Nothing like a pun going unappreciated to annoy you.

Yeah, because you can eat Eel. Probably.

And also I was using tasty as a way of saying that it was good.

Went over someone's head a bit. Ah well, it wasn't a great pun.

Starters. Discuss. Now.

Based on those pictures, which do you think you'll pick? And why?

Wow? Seriously? Not even just a comment? Disappointed in you guys...

Posted Image

Tsutaja, the Grass Snake Pokémon...with four very obvious limbs...and a snake...wow, never had that before...

Pokabu, the Fire Pig Pokémon...a fricking pig!? Not only has that been done several times as well, but a fricking pig for the fire starter!? COME ON! Ruddy hell, Nintendo...

Mijumaru, the Sea Otter Pokémon...wow, what are the chances the only Pokémon based on an animal not yet covered would be the Water type!? That said, otters and weasels are fairly similar...Ash hasn't had the Water starter since Totodile, I wonder if he'll have this, even though it's pretty similar to Buizel...

So...I don't like them. This is the first time my first impression of starters has been that I don't like them. They're ugly, they're unoriginal, they've all, to some extent, been done before, snakes don't have limbs, and it's a FRICKING PIG.

So much they could have chosen from... grass has to be a reptile...ok, so just have it as some general reptilian. Tsutaja isn't actually that hideous, but it is when they call it a snake, because it just isn't. If it looked exactly the same but was a different creature I wouldn't mind it.

Fire. There is SO MUCH that fire could have been. Fire starters are any kind of animal except fish. How about giving us the lion we've been waiting for for years, instead of more creatures that are similar to, but just aren't quite lion enough to avoid debate. Actually, if Pokabu came a few years ago, before Swinub, Spoink, and their evolutions, and it wasn't the STARTER, I wouldn't mind it. Pigs just aren't cool enough for the fire type starter. How about an armadillo? That'd be cool, and different. How about a goat? How about a decent hedgehog, Shaymin does NOT count. A proper mole? I mean, Diglett and Dugtrio are fantastic Pokémon but they're not moles. Or a wolf? We've never had a wolf! So many possibilities.

Water. So it has to be aquatic, but capable of walking on land. Fair enough, that does limit the options a bit. Nintendo don't make it easy when they use up their options on random crap like Bibarel. A capybara would be cool. What about a swan? Granted, its basic form wouldn't be as cute as Nintendo like...eh well, swans are cool. It could be white and black when shiny. Polar bear? Probably more likely an ice type, but it could work.

Anyway...what other creatures would you like to see as Pokémon in this coming generation? I'd like a dolphin, a swordfish, a hammerhead shark, a narwhal...if we have to have stupid numbers of water types, let's at least make them interesting, no more crap like Finneon... "Oh, it's based on a...fish. How original."

And lo, God said to the serpent that your punishment is to spend all your days crawling on your belly.

On first thoughts, that may not seem like a great punishment to a snake, but when you consider that Lizards and Snakes are pretty much identical. The theory is that...

Wait a second... They're tapping religion now? Holy son of all that is unholy.

None of them look appealing. But, we haven't seen any of their final forms yet. For all we know, they might be insanely awesome. That's always the kicker. I mean, the Sinnoh starters weren't great, but the final stages of Torterra, Infernape and Empoleon were awesome to look at.

I bet the Pokabu turns out to be a fire/ground type. Because, that's all you need. An even bigger weakness to water. Mijumaru... Water/Ice maybe. And Tsutaja, which I think probably looks the best out of the three... I have no idea. If it's a snake, poison maybe. Like that hasn't been done before.

Fire wolf would have been awesome. Plus, for anyone doing a Poke Rangers take on Mystic Force, it'd make Koragg pretty easy to do.

Like I said... Hoping for some good electric types.

Hoping your being sarcastic again, but as ever it's not really easy, or indeed possible, to tell. Pokémon's already done religion. They're moving on now, past the creator of everything

I dunno, Piplup's cute, that's why Dawn's isn't allowed to evolve. And Chimchar...Turtwig...meh, it's not bad.

I really don't see those type coming. Nintendo are getting better at starters these day. Sinnoh's three were designed to balance out with each other even in their secondary types. Plus, those are just three really boring, overused types combos.

... Of course it was sarcasm. You think I don't know that they already used Religion?Hmm, I'll try and think of a way to show if I'm being sarcastic...

What, so you can't honestly see a snake/ lizard thing turning out to be part poison type? I was just spitballing on the others. We won't know until the later forms are released.
