Why does that mean Nintendo has ruined Pokémon? There weren't any fossil Pokémon in the best generation. |

That was probably because Kanto was connected to Johto. And they could've put them in there but oh well. Would'nt have taken much to trade. |

That's still true now. There's nothing to stop you getting any of the other seven families. |

Well yes that is true. Only because they have the Pokeshifter to do it. But I think there wasn't any new fossil pokemon in Johto because, as I said, its connected to Kanto. Since Isshu isn't connected, I'm pretty sure there is going to be a new set of fossil Pokemon. |

I don't know if anyone said it earlier, but how awesome would a Tyrannosaurus be? And maybe a Stegosaur or Ankylosaur as the other. Of course, trying to get Psyduck to say something bad about Johto is like trying to get Turkeys to say something good about Christmas. It's just not going to happen. |

Hmmm well I can try to make him say something bad about it... But it sounds like it would take forever... And a tyrannosaurus would be good but for the two fossils I'd like to see are an Ankylosaurus and a Brontosaurus. Or even maybe animals which are extinct but aren't dinosaurs. Like the Tasmanian Tiger for example. |

Wasn't Tropius sort of a Brontosaurus? |

Yh I guess it was... but I'd still like to see something like that. Its not the first tie they've had the same idea but different design, Squirtle and Turtwig. But looking at the new anime preview for it I think that Iris will be doing gyms while this other guy will be competing in the musical. And we still get to see Barry's finger action! The guy takes control of it. And I think Ash gets Pokabu this time as it looks like Pokabu is battling in a rock type field. But then again it could be Iris... who knows... |

I'd say something bad about Johto, if I had something bad to say. The fact is, whether it has flaws or doesn't, it's still the best. I guess it did kinda feel small this time round, but maybe that's because I'm bigger...lol. And if you want something bad about the games themselves, their's plenty; for a start, Ethan & Lyra. I'm sticking to what I've said before; I don't think we'll get a T-Rex simply because it would be too similar to Rampardos (a pachycephalosaurus). It wouldn't have much interesting or unique to itself. I could see them doing a velociraptor much sooner. Also, Aggron anyone? Besides, T-Rex's are way over-rated. Think about some lesser thought of dinosaurs, with more interesting looks. Like a dimetrodon, or ankylosaur - ankylosaurus is actually becoming much more popular these days, through media such as Power Rangers and Digimon, Nintendo would be well advised to create something clearly based on it... You want other extinct animals? Ok, how about Doduo & anything that evolves via AncientPower? right there you've got a dodo, a mammoth, a prehistoric dragonfly & a caveman. Sure, so there are a few animals with more than one Pokémon family based on them - but how many have the same design? Only the fire monkeys, to my knowledge. Seriously, Hihidaruma is just a fat Infernape. Granted, it's nice to know there will be more Fire evolution lines than Generation IV, and all they have to do is give us one more (including the obvious two more in the Start line) and they'll have topped Generation IV's count. I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say Iris will have a Kibago - so she'll be breaking another record among Ash's friend - just as Dawn was the first main character bar Ash to have an Electric-type, she'll be the first bar Ash to have a Dragon-type. It's interesting that they're adding two more characters, haven't done that since AG, and Max was barely a character, he was more of a plot device. I'm also just reading that apparently they're ditching Brock! I guess this makes sense, if they're adding another guy...but Brock! Why not just ditch Team Rocket too, while they're at it... I haven't actually seen anything to confirm this though, it's only on Bulbapedia & Wikipedia. Neither of these characters are game characters either, which is interesting - there are plenty of game characters to pick from. On an unrelated note, whilst this topic is strictly speaking about Black & White, I'm not making another topic unless anything is confirmed; Generation III remakes - yay or nay? Are they likely? I don't think they are, in spite of the precedent. The past remakes were done partly because the old games were so difficult to play due to graphics and what-not, partly to give Sugimori an excuse to update the official artwork, and partly so that the regions would be connectible to present games. Generation III's graphics still hold up pretty well (obviously nothing compared to Black & White, but I like them), Sugimori's art style hasn't drastically changed & Generation III Pokémon don't look out of date, and the Generation III games will still be connectible to Generation V (granted, you'd have to transfer Pokémon to Generation IV first, then to V, but still). We shouldn't have remakes that are indirectly compatible with the games they're based on. Or, if we do, it should give you something seriously awesome if you bring old Hoenn Pokémon to new Hoenn. |

What other dinosaurs could there be? But, the Velociraptor would be cool. Allosaurs? Too similar to the Tyranosaur. Pleisosaur? Maybe. Pteranodon? Done with Aerodactyl. A Stegosaur? Possibly. Sauropods have been done with Tropius. Or, the ultimate one for the hardcore. A compsognathus. (The little ones that killed that guy who went to take a crap in The Lost World, just in case anyone was wondering) You can't say that Ethan and Lyra are a problem with Johto. That's like saying that Australia is a problem because it has Hotrod in it. (No offence, I'm just using you as an example) Yeah!!!! Bring in more fire and more electric. |

Plesiosaurs have been done, Lapras. I'm just saying his name is Gold and Lyra should be burnt at a stake by Kris. I'm good with electric so long as Shimama can evolve. Actually, I'm happy for it to stay as it is, so long as it has the stats of a proper one-stage evolution - I'm thinking Electabuzz. But, based on its size, it won't have those stats. Whether it will evolve or be as fail as Pachirisu is yet to be seen. And in spite of my criticisms of it, Hihidaruma could be good. I don't think it itself is actually a Fighting type, so it might stray away from the standards of Blaziken and Infernape. Hopefully it'll have some interesting moves. It's weird, many of the Pokémon we know will probably get evolutionary families, but how do we tell which? I want to hear about some more of my options for Fly and Surf (I'll regret that, asking for water-types...). Wooguru certainly looks incredible, but I won't be surprised if it goes the way of most Normal/Flying types and has a terrible movepool. I want a decent Physical Flying-type that actually learns Fly...that's all... EDIT: Just rememberised. The crane/swan - apart from being a potential Flyer, anyone else think it could be the obligatory Water/Flying type? |

Oh yeah... As long it's not a case of Mantine/Mantyke. Which was lazy. Well, it's obligatory for every generation to have a kickass water type. Gen 1 had Blastoise, Gyarados, Poliwrath, Vaporeon... Gen 2 had Feraligatr, Kingdra and Suicune. Gen 3 had Swampert, Ludicolo, Kyogre and Wailord. Gen 4 had Empoleon and errr... Palkia. |

You forgot loads of awesome water types, but I can't be bothered going into them all. But you forgot the single best water type of all time. Tsk tsk. |

Go on then. Which did I leave out that was the best one ever? I missed Lapras out, I'll admit. Which was a mistake. And possibly Floatzel. Maybe, if you hear that sound of scraping the barrel. |

Yh I dont take offence Blue. Water types huh? For the top five for me are: Gyarados 5th, Empoleon 4th, Kabutops 3rd, Quagsire (Don't ask y I just like it) 2nd and the best one for me is Blastoise. If the swan can actually use fly i'll be happy. Every other water/flying can't use fly which I find ridiculous. I'd like a 3rd gen remake. I think the new graphics and new moves are needed to be added to it. It would be better. And maybe they could make a Frontier Island where you actually have to travel to get to each place to earn your symbol. It would be so much better. I'd like to see Shimama evolve. It has super potential. And anyone else think that mijumaru will turn into some ninja otter. Probably not but... Also I think Pachirisu should get an evolution. maybe an electric fighting type. That'd be good to train. |
