Give the makers of Pokémon credit where it's due. At least they don't feel the need to include a seemingly obligatory sewer level in every single game. |

Maybe Koromori is the new Zubat? ![]() Brock's not weird...maybe that's 13 years of him always around (that's about to end), but it's fairly normal. Surge is his surname, unless we're talking about Captain Jack (either), when referring to someone in that way, it's rank then surname. Blaine's the only one that stands out there. As for Bugsy...Mallone? I have no problem with sewer levels. It's water levels I don't like. Victory Road is Nintendo's answer to that. Always a cave...I just hate caves and water routes...it's always the same... It's the main reason why, in my opinion, Hoenn is the worst region. |

Yeah, I thought it was it's eye at first, I thought that was really cool, but it turns out it's a nose, it has eyes hidden under little tufts of fur that are just noticeable. Which sucks. |

Yeah, Koromori could be this generation's Zubat. Also, the one below it at the moment on Serebii, Kibago... That could be a fossil Pokémon. It sorta looks like one. |

Nah, it's a Dragon-type, plus it's going to feature heavily in the anime, looks like it's Iris' main partner. Dento, the new guy travelling with Ash in place of Brock (who apparently is skilled at judging the relationships between people & Pokémon in the same way a sommelier judges the relationship between food and wine...yeah...) is a Gym Leader in the games. If he'll be travelling with Ash, and he's taking Brock's place, then I'd expect him to be the first gym leader - although they could be twisting it; maybe he'll be the last gym leader or something. Doubt it though, that'd pretty much mean keeping his team fixed until the end of the region, and I doubt they'll be that mean to him. What do we think though? Will he be shoved to the side like Brock has been for so long, not doing anything? Doubtful, otherwise what's the point in replacing a much loved character - that's probably why they're replacing Brock, because they don't know what to do with him - it should be obvious; anything! Give him Pokémon, evolve some, take Pokémon from him, let him battle, just involve him in the plot! Still...what type do we think he'll train? He doesn't look like a Rock type trainer, so maybe he won't be first - either way the games will break the trend of the first gym leader using Geodude (yes, Falkner breaks it, but he only doesn't use Rock because Brock's still in the game), so maybe it won't be Rock at all. I'd like it to be something really different...I want them to shake it up...I hope they don't go with Bug or something, another common early-game type...for a start he'd have crap Pokémon in the anime... Interesting, though, that Iris is a completely original character...only two game characters before have been completely original - Tracey and Max (what's that? Schoolboy? Shush), who were, let's face it, crap. But she's clearly going to be focused on...I imagine she'll be taking on Pokémon Musical...I hope Dento actually gets a goal, too...not like Brock, just travelling for the sake of it...then there'll be more focus on him, a real reason for his presence. Anyone reckon Iris is only black because Brock's going? Then again, Aloe is black, first definitely black character in a main series game...who knows? |

Poison maybe for the first gym? That's maybe a valid option. Plus, it's fairly common at the start of the games, but not a crap type like bug. |

Are you kidding me? Poison's even worse than Dragon! At least Dragon is good for Kingdra & Palkia. Poison's only any decent against Grass, it doesn't even have many decent moves, just Toxic...and Toxic Spikes, I guess. |

Poison Jab, Sludge Bomb... I'm not saying that the type is a great one. Just better than a crap one. There are also some awesome poison types out there. The Nidoran evolution families. Probably the King side rather than the Queen one, but they're both good. Muk. Drapion. Toxicroak. Crobat. Arbok Skuntank. That's not including the ones that are part grass type, like Venusaur. |

Oh, sure, there are decent Poison type Pokémon out there, because of a mix of incredible stats & movepools. But Poison itself sucks. Seriously, I'd never give any Pokémon on my team a Poison type move so long as there was an alternative. |

Poison types... I think Seviper, the Nidos, Croagunk line and Skorupi line are y faves and the only ones i'd trained. And a thing I've noticed that ost poison types seem to be more physical attacks then special. Dont know if you guys see that as well but... |

A thought occurs; whilst it is obviously a bird instead of fish-based, what if Swana is a parallel to Gyarados & Milotic? I can easily see Swana having a prevolution, and indeed it should - you'll find many made-up Pokédexes including a swan, and I doubt you'll find any that don't include a chick - the proverbial ugly duckling. Automatically we've got something ugly that evolves into something beautiful. The only question is which would its prevolution be more like - Magikarp, found everywhere, or Feebas, obscenely rare. Or maybe it'd be a bit more like Wingull & Pelipper...still found everywhere... EDIT: HUMUNA HUMUNA HUMUNA TMs. They don't disappear after use. I imagine that means they're actually reusable - maybe it'll be something like Mystery Dungeon, with Recycle, but who cares, TMs don't disappear. No more hours in the game corner, no more saving up so much money, no more despairing when you realise you used a one-off TM far too early...humuna. |

You just said Toxic and Toxic Spikes as decent moves. Poison Jab is one of my favourite moves. Sludge Bomb, Cross Poison. Poison Fang is more accurate than the other elemental bite attacks. But, I would probably agree that the better ones are physical. To confirm my thoughts on the type. If I can get one of the decent ones, then I will have a poison type in my team. Although, the main one that was available in Gen one were also grass types. So, that kinda took care of itself if you had Venusaur, Vileplume or Victreebel. That's awesome with the TM's. |

I reckon Basurao could take Magikarp's place...it looks right for the part... Oh yeah, did I mention? Berry's don't grow in Isshu, for the first time in a non-remake. Instead you somehow have to get them through the online Dream World. That should mean that we'll actually get access to the Dream World then, I doubt they'll keep something like berries from us. |
