Hello all, i go T.K. & after a long day of trooping i often find, the beginings of, little cracks appearing... Especially round the cod area ( no double-en-taundre indended).
I know how to repair.. ie (super-glue/fabric ect). But how to PREVENT/STRENGTHEN in the first place.
I got an idea of using E6000, about 1 cm round the entire inside rim. Then running white gaffa tape on-top of that, to somehow strengthen the armour... thus preventing these cracks even starting in the first place.
Anyone think this is a good idea or tried this before?
Or know of anyone who's done this? Feedback?
Chears. :P

little plates of abs or styrene, basically the offcuts of the armour trimming process are great for bridging any splits that appear, most model shops have small sheets quite cheap! ;)

Moved to the main prop forum as more of a general discussion thread .

You could even re-inforce with firbreglass I imagine if you keyed up the inside or even ultra thin kevlar mat if you wanna be dead cool :)

Ahh, already glued gaffa-tape round the inside edge of the cod ( feels stronger) :D May try kevlar (or some sort of equil) round the rest of suit.
General Discussion area: got it! still finding my way.
Chears ;)
