Thanks

Shouldn't they be making their own? I know I do...The commercially available ones are generally crap unless you'll be paying top dollar. The other thing you'll have a problem with the latex caps that most places sell are quite thick on the edges and are a bugger to blend in convincingly...It's why I use Baldiez and Super Baldiez for any bald caps I use. They could do a bog standard stipple over a head form with latex to get a reasonable cap with a thin edge. You could look at amazon uk or ebay as you can get plastic bald cap <best as you can bled the edges away with IPA and they blend right into the skin> biggest issue is I doubt you'll get a decent one delivered in time.

Try Charles fox in London

http://www.charlesfox.co.uk/

but you'll be paying about £20 to £30 for a single cap.

Oh and if you're trying to emulate pin head, I don't think using a simple bald cap and not a prosthetic piece will be good enough to prevent the pins/nails from flopping about.

Thanks Martin, I'm not MUA just a photographer, I shall pass on your comments. Thanks Buddy.

and a damn fine one you are too.

You'll always find that this time of year you'll be havinbg difficulty finding anything like a bald cap mate with halloween being round the corner.

It's why I bought a plastic head form from charles fox, means if I need bald caps for whatever reason I just run some baliez through the old airbrush and it's done...It's one of the curses of having to wear too many hats when making short films, you get to be a dab hand at most things make up related

Martin, I wish you were doing the SFX makeup for this, I know we would get something good. Alas I was brought into this shoot by another photographer who is published, thinking everyone was the top of their game.

Thanks for the info, I really appreciate your help, you are right, stuff like bald caps should of been made or brought way before. This shoot has been planned 3 months ago.

For a top makup artist, what you said would happen did. I got some good shots but had to do some serious photoshop work. The chatterer was brilliant, pinhead and the rest were not so good.
