I have built helmets, armour pieces and small greebs. I must admit, my experience of blaster building is fairly limited

the blaster I want to build is 3rd or 4th from the top with the extended stock of the 5th

any advice or base weapon suggestions would be welcome
or else I will just be approaching it in my usual way - cardboard templates, styrene sheets, PVC pipe and other good looking bits of rubbish I find dumpster diving :D

thanks in advance guys

Nate

Hmm can't think of any base weapons that are close tbh, it has some similarities or rather influence from a Lewis gun but nothing close. Have you looked at nerf guns at all ? Some of those may make a good base . Other than that it's the plastic and PVC pipe route. I use a lot of mdf as well for the main structure of some of my blasters. It carves and sands real well and you can get a good finish with a few costs of primer on it. You can also stick styrene sheet on as well.

Hmmm Depends on the end elevation view of the weapon? Could look at Nerf Weapons as a base? I did that with my Halo assault rifle have a butchers at the old nerfs and the newer ones too that have some really useful base shapes to them.

Failing that PVC pipe and MDF or even styrene for the base I use all sorts of stuff to build a weapon and generally start by looking at how the weapon could break down andbuild up from that

Hi :)

I think there may be a pep file floating around for a few of these if you wanna go that route. Let me know and I'll dig around for it ;)

I'd go with what the others have said, I'd look for a toy or nerf gun as the base and add PVC pipe from a DIY store and styrene for the rest if I was making it.

went with a straight forward scratch build - fun foam, card board and car filler. Spent abt £10 on hose pipe connectors and pipe fastners. Rest is rubbish from work

better ref pics from Blur Studios rather than just the game refs
