Just needs a few minor things to complete this commision for Rich Bown. Harder then I thought it would be, mainly the weathering on this one.

Thanks for looking :)

Wow that turned out great mate !!

Weathering looks amazing, what did you use for it?

On the subject of x-wing helmets, did anything come of that project for charity we were talking about at the star wars weekend?

Thanks everyone :)

Steve, the weathering was done using an airbrush creating different layers of enamel paint, starting with the darker colours first. I used Humbrol AD grey mixing in black for the darker weathering. I masked off the parts I wanted light with Humbrol masking fluid. Sprayed from a distance, final layer I added more white. Then I got a bradel and created the finer scratch marks. Ohh and I added some graphite powder in places and sealed with a coat of gloss.

LOL he want's them all doing. Man there goes the rest of my free time for a couple of years. These are so time comsuming to get them right, Rich is fussy, want's them SA as possible. I can remember Steve the Sweed a master at painting, check his stuff out on Jez's site StarWarsHelmets saying never again lol.

I have Wes Janson's to do next, in answer to Steve's Question about the Charity Helmet for Ian Liston, I shall be doing Rich's and Ian's at the same time. I'll post up a new thread about the RPB's involment regarding that project.
