Whilst waiting for the Glock 17 to arrive to convert into a Lawgiver I got bored and decided to tackle the grenade for the belt.

Cut a tube to length, based off the size of the buckle in a screen shot

Then I used a cut down bottle cap for the cylinder top detail, added a top and bottom and cut grooves around the cylinder.

Next the holes in the cylinder were marked and drilled

Scratch built a cap top detail for the pivot pin

Then scratch built a handle, pins and painted assembled it all.

Hopefully the Glock will arrive soon. If not I’ll continue with the rest of the belt accessories.
More to come.........

Well most of the belt gear you can scratch build Darren and depending on how far you want to go with the scratch building you can do the lid too and the vest too

Thanks to Nath Lim, I have a lid coming, but yeah, thinking about all the belt accessories / pouches etc. plus the tac vest / armour plates. Maybe even the shoulders ( who knows ).

The main thing is I'm really enjoying doing this again. The last few projects have been for 'customers' and it became a chore. I've got my building mojo back :)

I need your opinions guys.

I had some heavyish vinyl lying about, so ( with the help of my mum ), made the pouch for the grenade.

I can't decide wether it looks too flimsy in vinyl. If it does I'll have to re-make it in leather.

What do you think?

Looks alright to me mate. However it'll need to hang on a belt before you'll know.

Grenade looks great Darren !! Vinyl does look a bit thin but when it's on the costume it will look fine I reckon :)
