Made a start today on the “Doorburster” Mine.

To get a start on the curved top part I used a bit of poly resin and spray can tops as impromptu molds.

To this base piece I added discs of styrene

For the bottom section, I used another piece of slightly smaller diameter poly resin and glued a strip of styrene around the edge ( with the holes already drilled in )

I dressed down the top section ( as it was a little too large ) rounded it off more.

A coat of primer gray and a bit of green weathering

Don’t know if I’m happy with the fact that it has a small step between the top and bottom section and not sure of the required paint finish.

Any advice/criticism would be great.

Don't het too hung up on it Darren It's a cracking piece...I've been babging my head against a brick wall how to do it myself and you've come up with a really neat way of doing it :-) I think the finish looks really good mate.
