Very nice. I did one myself ages ago after I built my vac former and made the shrouds for a working version...You going mechanical for the action or compressed air like the screen used?

If i could get the parts small enough to hide inside the base i would go pneumatic but for now it's manually operated by trigger, lights are just chasers but add to the effect and i'm adding sound to make the opening mechanism noise as there is no sound when it opens when operated by trigger.... I just had a mechanical lever in the shaft that made the staff open and close....revere engineered it from the movie pics of the insides, and then tried to make it simpler without the pneumatics. Great to see another working prop though :-)

Cheap light sequencer, 15 different modes and speed adjuster, i just doubled up the number of leds so they would run down both sides, shame none of the modes are accurate to the screen used. but it is effective.
