Decided that my Judge needs more firepower, so onto the next build, the "Widowmaker" shotgun, as used in the movie. Not an easy one to get decent screen-grabs for. There are only about 4 readily available and they are similar views, as below; ![]() But talking to guys who were on set it's the general concensus that the 'base' for the gun is a SPAS 12. So first step, take one airsoft Spas 12; ![]() Take off the slide grip and mark out fake side panels; ![]() Cut down slide grip and first coat of black so that no clear parts can be seen under the additional pieces; ![]() Fit side panels ( right side has ejection port, left doesn't ); ![]() Build up the bottom of the body, using styrene and bondo; ![]() Create angled faces at the back of the body, again using styrene and filler; ![]() Another coat of black on the finished back and bottom details ( also dead chuffed at this point, as the slide grip still sides over the extended bottom piece ); ![]() The extended top section, gluing in place. ![]() more to come....... |

Cheers guys. A bit more progress Magazine built and fitted; ![]() The pre-cut / folded front shroud piece. The refs seem to show slots etc. so I'm making this to kind of match the same area on the Lawgiver ( I think it makes sense ) ![]() The shroud loosely in place and barrel extension piece ( not glued yet ) made from plumbing bits n bobs ![]() The under-slung "pod" which I'm planning on housing a torch, as I'm assuming that's probably what this feature is. ![]() more to come.......... |

A productive day........ All assembled and given matte black and laquer ( may weather the living daylights out of it though ) ![]() Had a few chats with people and it seems the "pod" is a grenade launcher so now complete with grenade "in the pipe" ( olive drab green, but the flash has washed it out ). ![]() Purge |
