Respecting Others Guidelines As a member of this community you are required to post and act in a mature manor towards other members. Any sort of insulting/flaming, discrimination or similar actions will very likely result in your account being warned or possibly banned. The community as a whole is much better off if people get along with each other. You will enjoy posting and being a member of it much more than if you're constantly being confrontational and fighting. From past experiences, people who are like that don't last very long, they either simply get banned, or build up enough of a disliking from the other members that they just get ignored and end up leaving. Be nice and people will be nice back! If you see anyone posting insulting things to other members or yourself, please don't get involved, or you may be punished for it too. You should simply report their post using the report button under their post. The post will appear in the moderator Report Control Panel, it will be reviewed and if necessary action will be taken against that user. If you get involved by responding to their post with the same type of insults, you're only going to get yourself into trouble too, they will be dealt with by moderators if you just report their post and ignore them. If there is a particular member you do not like and would like to 'hide' posts made by that user, you can visit their profile and select "ignore _____" from the drop down profile options menu. The forum will then hide any posts made by that user so you no longer have to read them. Remember this rule applies not only to the forum, but also in off site forum related chats, including the official in-game clan chat (rsmdb). Your actions in these chat rooms have consequences for your forum account if you are being disruptive in them. - Light insults - Heavy flaming

Well I personally don't use IRC and I'm not sure if any other mods do, so right now it is not strictly covered by the rules. Unless a moderator actively uses it and can access chat logs for evidence of rule breaking if it is reported, then it can't be covered by the rules (evidence does not include screen shots). So it's up to whoever is in the chat to kick/ban people for doing stuff like that, only mods can have something done about it in relation to their forum account if they witness it, or have viewed solid evidence of rule breaking. |

not necessarily racism. irc is pretty much the only place left to actually have fun and joke around. i wouldn't recommend it if you're very sensitive. and to tehdjman, i haven't even seen you AT ALL on irc. |

Most likely whoever is being racist in IRC are nearly all of the top ranked people. So not much you can do about it lol. The fact that IRC has no chat filter gives it the point to let you say whatever you want, even if it is offensive to someone else. Almost no one gets kicked or banned for being racist or offensive because they usually higher ranked and no one gives a shit. Since the IRC #RSMDB was created by Zeldy (who is not a rsmdb mod) I dont think it should be reportable. He has his own rules in there that keep things somewhat under control. Making the IRC reportable to the forums would defeat the purpose of it. No one would be happy with that. I'd say just let it go. If you are easily offended or get made fun of too much in IRC, dont complain. Simply stay out of it. It's not for the fainthearted. Sidenote: Dont click links in IRC unless you fully trust someone. Some people in there have some really unhealthy obsession with Tubgirl. |

You are somewhat wrong there, by default the server sets +f on you when you connect, meaning links, and curse words are replaced with *'s, people can choose to take that off though, and usually do. As for the racist thing, 90% of racist words are on the #Rsmdb badwords list, after you say any of words twice, you are kicked and banned, for the rest of the day. The thing about higher ranks being racist, is true to a point; but the same rules apply to all ranks (Exept admin-op, which only trusted people have), the badwords kick them in the same way, and the ban stays for the day. I have personally removed peoples ranks for being racist in the past, and I'm pretty sure everyone who uses #Rsmdb on a regular basis will verify that. I keep logs of #Rsmdb, but as I am not a RSMDB Moderator (and I'm sure I won't be one in the near future) they are pretty much useless, and mean nothing. I agree with the IRC channel not affecting the forums, as the only moderator who uses it is Kiri, and it's pretty rare to find him in it. It would basicly be one users word against anothers, and that wouldn't solve anything. EDIT: The links always have a warning, saying you should only open it if you trust the link, and ANY link can be disguised as an image, like emoscript . com/ Justintimme1.png - is a php script and redirects to a rick roll website. "Paki" Is not considered a badword to me, it's like saying Jew, just a shortened version of the full word. As for "Bastard", by setting -f on yourself (typing /options and dissableing filtering) you are alowing yourself to see that word, and I'm not going to censor it, as the word can be used in the correct way. |

I wouldn't recommend it, I have re-written the rules of #Rsmdb, to make them more clear. Newer rules.
