 Every Friday, the forum will have a weekly sub-event where we play the Minigame Tears Of Guthix, then split up to hunt for penguins. Tears Of Guthix is a minigame that helps boost your lowest skill. You have the complete the quest 'Tears Of Guthix' to be able to play it and the minigame can only be played once a week. Penguin Hide & Seek is 'distraction and diversion' event, you have to find disguised penguin spies wandering around RuneScape. When you find one, click on it and you will get 'penguin points', these points can be traded for coins or experience in a skill of your choice by speaking to Larry (or Chuck) in Ardougne Zoo. It is recommended you complete the quests "Cold War" and "Hunt For Red Raktuber" as they increase your rewards, but they are not required. You must speak to Larry (near the penguins in Ardy zoo) before you can take part in this event. Date: Every Friday World: 28 Meeting Location: Juna the snake 5-10 minutes before event time if possible. Clan Chat: RSMDB Time: -Europe- GMT/BST - 22:00 (10pm) CET/CEST - 23:00 (11pm) -USA & Canada- EST/EDT - 17:00 (5pm) CST/CDT - 16:00 (4pm) MST/MDT - 15:00 (3pm) PST/PDT - 14:00 (2pm) Time not listed? Use this converter http://www.timezoneconverter.com/cgi-bin/tzc.tzc More Info: Try to get to the meeting location a few minutes early so we can all enter at the same time. Enter the Tears Of Guthix minigame at the event start time (unless an event leader says otherwise). Play the minigame, try to collect as many tears as you can (screen shot your score if you like, and post it in this thread, we'll see who can score the highest each week/all time). Once the minigame is finished, we will immediately begin hunting for penguins. Teleport and start searching for penguin spies across Runescape. If you find one, be sure to tell everyone in the chat, and they will do the same if they find any. This way we can find the penguins fairly quickly. Once you have enough points you can go spend them on xp or cash and the event is over for you until next week! If we don't have enough people attending the event, sometimes the penguin hide and seek may be cancelled. As long as there is a decent turn out we should be fine to hunt them. Yey I won the first tears  And that's 24 hour time, not just military 0.0 Not everyone uses AM and PM, so some people would confuse it with being in the morning. I'll put the 12 hour time in brackets though... Edited by sosolid2k, Oct 2 2009, 09:32 PM.

Um that's only to make it more fun not the main point of going. It's more fun to do it with other people and it reminds you to do it (a lot of people don't do it because they forget). If we have a set time every week then you're unlikely to forget, especially if you're in the clan chat at that time. We may also be adding penguin hunting straight after it, depending on if enough people come so that we can effectively hunt the penguins as a group. (yes there are clan chats for it, but it would be more fun hunting them ourselves in RSMDB chat). So we would all do tears, then split up to search for the penguins. |
