Held in the hands, it gives you more control over the in-game camera, allowing you (or a friend) to act as a cameraman and set up shots for you to then capture with your preferred video capture software. The hope is that it will make things easier for any players who enjoy making RuneScape videos, and encourage a wider number of players to enter our imminent machinima competition. So, if you’ve ever wanted to make a video of someone taking on the KBD with a bronze dagger (or joke about what you might do should you ever meet Jagex’s CEO...), then the Orb of Oculus should help you to realise your vision. Makes it completely useless for thousands of videos and introduces new problems for others. - You can't even be in your own video (unless you're playing a man holding an orb that doesn't move or talk) - You can't communicate with people that are helping, not even through emotes (which makes RSMVs pretty difficult) - Any combat at all will interrupt it (rules out PvP, boss hunting, combat minigames, and any other video than involves being prone to being attacked by something) TBH it feels as if they've purposely made it not to work in combat, they've even went as far as given it a minus defence bonus... It just seems like it's been made to benefit one single style of video and everything else has been totally ignored.

They should have made it be controllable like the way you control the camera when you play COD (if you've ever tried the spectator thing). Would have been much better like that, I was expecting it like that also.
