and most 99 hunters have full bandos and d full helm at like lvl 80

This is just sad when u look at skils like this. Just because they want to promote members benifits so more people will get it pisses me off.

As for wc and mining f2p players had gotten members just for this event so i wouldnt be shocked to see rc wc mine and other f2p skills take the lead in most capes achieved.

Imho this is a kick in the freaking balls to anyone and everyone who worked hard for thier skills and ranks. This game is going to keep getting easier because the vast majority of people who play now are kids in primary school and high school.

To all those who liked this disgrace you will be happy to know that jagex wants every skill to be 100k xp a hour and things like this will happen again and again.

I agree. I got over a mil summon exp and still lost 150 ranks so far :s

they say this doesn't devalue the skills because 'it's only 10 hours of a significant advantage', yet like 95% of summon involves collecting the charms while using them takes a fraction. taking that into account, this devalues the skill immensely because people can use 20k+ charms in that time saving them 3 things, the cost of the shards/2nds, the time to get the charms being the big one, and the time to use the charms.

Yea Skills are WAY to easy to train nowadays, and Jagex just made it incredibly easy. :ermm:

Summoning got a big slap in the face today as far as i can tell. I got 89-95 summoning in just under a few hours. Which is way to effing fast. :nono:

If Jagex ever does this again it shouldn't be announced and be like 5-7 hours long.

I personally agree with everyone else, I personally feel guilty that I have the right to train skills easier than lets say rocky did :/ now jagex is coming out with all these updates that just make skills easier and easier to train... I remember when i first started RS in 2006, I didnt mind that certain skills took a long time to train, I even kinda liked it that way, but ever since mark gerhard came into the picture, jagex has turned into nothing but selfish brats who want more and more customers...

They seem to be trying too hard to get more customers lately, but doing it in ways that annoy the exact people that have helped massively in getting the game to where it is today.

RS has grown mainly from word of mouth, the people that are most likely to get their friends to play are the people that have been playing the game for a while and know a lot about it. Updates like this and a few others have been getting on many of those players nerves, which over time almost certainly makes them less likely to recommend RS to other people.

They really should focus on some big updates for high level players to reward them and challenge them (and not nerf them a week later, adding to the frustration even more). New players from word of mouth are much more likely to keep playing if they already have friends they know to encourage them, get help and do stuff with. New players that are just trying the game out, no matter how fun and amazing they make the early stages of the game are not going to have the same level of motivation to keep playing.

Wonder if summoning is as bad today lol, hopefully most people used their charms yesterday, but I can imagine it's still gonna be a pretty big number. The cost of overloads and extremes etc is probably gonna go up permanently, more people that can use them and there's no increase in the supply of items required to make them. I guess a lot of boss drops will also go down a bit too, overloads/yaks make a big difference when killing certain bosses.
