How to upload high quality images from various image hosters A list of image hosters that this guide will cover: EmoIMG TinyPic Imgur PhotoBucket If there is an image hosting website that you think would benefit this thread please post it and I will get right on it. EmoIMG EmoIMG is my own image hosting service that's fast, easy to use and you have complete control over your images when you sign up for an account. The limit is 50MB/Picture and unlimited bandwith. How to use it Go to EmoIMG.com Click Browse Locate and select your image Click upload Now to post the image on the forums copy the direct link Go to the thread you wish to post the image in and click "Image" at the top of the post and insert the link you just copied in to the box The end result should be something similar to this TinyPic Tinypic is a good image hosting service with short links and is easy to use. The limit is unknown but they do compress images if they are big in size which in turn reduces quality How to use it Go to TinyPic.com Click Browse Locate and select your image Click upload Now to post the image on the forums copy the direct link Go to the thread you wish to post the image in and click "Image" at the top of the post and insert the link you just copied in to the box The end result should be something similar to this imgur imgur is a good image hosting service with very short links ideal for signatures with low character space and is easy to use. The limit is 10MB/Picture for non animated and 2MB/Picture for animated. How to use it Go to imgur.com Click Browse Locate and select your image Click upload Now to post the image on the forums copy the direct link Go to the thread you wish to post the image in and click "Image" at the top of the post and insert the link you just copied in to the box The end result should be something similar to this PhotoBucket Photobucket is a good image hosting service with personal links ideal for free websites and guides. It is moderately easy to use. The limit is 1MB/Pic or 1024x768 for normal images and 10/MB or 800 frames for animated. How to use it First of all you have to register for an account, to do so go to Register.PhotoBucket.com Select a user name and a password like this and click next Put in your details on the page, for example: this You're now signed up! You can access your account by going to PhotoBucket.com and clicking on "My home" at the top of the page Now to post the image on the forums you have to upload the image, so go on and click the upload button Locate and select your image and upload it. Click the Save button then the on the image to get the direct link Go to the thread you wish to post the image in and click "Image" at the top of the post and insert the link you just copied in to the box The end result should be something similar to this If you have any more image hosting websites don't be afraid to post them here, the only exception is ImageShack, there is already a well done guide found here. Also if there are any mistakes or you feel that I missed something out, please post so I can fix it for other users. |

How would you be able to tell the difference between HQ images and PNG images, they all look the same except GIF and Jpeg images. JPEG images have a lot of colour loss and GIF are either animations or just a picture with pixels that easily seen. |

If you have a file that is over a certain size, some sites won't accept it, or will convert it to another format to reduce the size (and speed up loading time). |

PNG are generally HQ to start off with. but some image hosters compress it and reduce the quality at the same time. EmoIMG on the otherhand has a 50mb/picture upload limit, and doesn't compress the image. If you need more than 50mb for a picture you can always contact me. I'll try to find out the size limitations to the listed websites ASAP. EDIT: Found out all of them with the exception of TinyPic who go off the subject in their FAQ. |
