They have tons of servers that can hold up to 2k people and those aren't cheap to pay. also, there not doing this to make money. There doing this for the rs community and if they do end up making any profit off this, it's going straight to charity. i hate when people talk crap about stuff like this when they don't know the reason behind something. Mod Mat K Hi guys, I can tell you that we are not going to make any money from Runefest and the price of the tickets is to cover the costs. Should we end up with any profit from the ticket sales, we will donate it to charity. This isn't a money making exercise, it is something we are doing for the fans. Mat. I wonder which charity it is for

Banana Hammock Posts: 2,724 Group: Hawt Member Member #3,021 Joined: May 6, 2009 Runescape Username Nadrew Homeworld 27	well it really is going to be a load of drunk europeans ranting about updates and stuff nah jk proly not considering its going to end at 7 (proly cause they don't want too much drinking XD ) just saying for US people on the east coast is would be upwards of $1,700 round trip from New York City to London its minimum $600, so add on the $100 hotel room, $30 for food/snacks that night, $30 for the cab ride there, $115 for the ticket, $75 for food/stuff there, $30 for cab ride back, $100 for hotel room, $600 for flight home. maybe you do the red eye flights and don't buy the hotel rooms thats still $1,200+ and to be honest what kids 13-18 without jobs in countries not in europe can whip up $1,200+ in about 4 months. Also considering some kids begin school in the last week of august. would be pretty funny though if your parents had to explain where you were first few days of school "Hello, my child stole $2,000 dollars from me, flew to england, went to some looney gamer event, flew back, and missed the first 3 days of school. Kthxbai." XD if anyone goes please take some pictures
