Point of order. Since the season has not officially ended, there can be no winner yet, even though the outcome is already determined. The way I see it, as an impartial judge, the past couple of days do not count toward the 30 day agreement. Looks like a bonus for Ghost at no additional charge to me.
"I, The Princess of CUB LOVE, am not worthy of The Ghost's attention! The Ghost is so much more awesome than i am at all things, including horseshoes, pancake making and making sweet sweet love to my woman."

WOW!But you see, that's what I love about Prots. He is a "take no prisoners" kind of guy just like the artist formerly known as royvern! I'l do the extra 2 days standing on my head. :ph43r:

The Princess may not have any teeth, but he has honor

I do have honor but I'm not Santa Claus either. Moonshine brings up a valid point, and since, according to Prot's Rules of Order, we are sticking to the letter of the law, I will take ALL of my options under consideration. I would see no reason for me to be subjected to adverse yipping in the event I choose a Cardinal AAA game since there was no specifics spelled out in advance.

It's a lot easier pill to swallow considering the Cards made it to the playoffs. If we hadn't made the playoffs I had full intention of giving Ghost a harder time the artist formally known as royvern, but now anything goes I guess.

I'll have to warm up to it a bit though. I have a hard time busting the chops of the man who had the most faith in my team. Tip of the cap to you roy. Double tip for your gamesmanship. That being said, I am a little disappointed that you would post anything cubbie. Which is worse, a liar or cub fan? Which has more honor, a man who sticks to his word or a person professing to be cub fan? Which is better, to be realistic about your teams capabilities or to be a die hard fan with faith in his team? Who has more honor, the guy who bets for his team to succeed and then humiliates himself to honor a bet or the guy who bets against his team (color it how you will, this is my color) and doesn't have to humiliate himself publically? These are not that easy of a question to answer.

  I gots to jerk Ghost's chain a little even though he did win the bet. jk

not gonna lie, i was "WTF"ing over here...well played!

no matter if sally wants the abuse (which i think he does) or thinks he deserves it (which he definitely does), i cant be too harsh on him, unless he scabs on the tickets, then its full open abuse.

in any case, just because hamwallet over there picked one number and i picked another it has no standing on loyalty.

88-74 That's 39-31 rest of the way sounds about right to me. With the Pirates respectable this year nobody hits 90 and the Cards 88 is enough to win by 2.
that is right about what i was thinking. the pirates are kinda beating everyone up a little. with 4 teams in the hunt, no one is goign to smash this division open
Ghostage, how about a little wager (since you think my aim is poor)? Who ever is closer to the Cards final record, the other must preface his all of his posts with "I am not worthy of _____'s attention!" in bold type with the winners name filling in the blank for 30 days after the season is over. We'd have NC be the final judge but he can't count, so I say Prots is the official Ump. Ya feel lucky punk? Well do ya? :ph43r:

Let's get it on, Casper!
I'd take that in a heartbeat Ghost. Roy needs to go 44-26. Talk about NC can't do math. Roy should get out his calculator.
I am going to cry foul on the whole bet with this post! Ghost allowed waterdown to give him a peek at the almanac and thereby knew that the season outcome would favor Ghost's wager. This is in strict contrast to the fairness in betting doctrine originally drafted by those fine people that brought us LAs Vegas and Atlantic City gambling. This is a classic Biff Tannen - type ploy to use known results taken from the Gray's Sports Almanac and using them to sucker unknowing victoms into their little cheat of a game.

:ph43r: roy Darlene, i doubt that you will actually get out of it but it's a shot. We'll see how Prot thinks about it. :ph43r:

In spite of the foul taste left in my mouth posting that avatar, I refused to have the pic of my great great uncle roy sullied with the implication of my being a cub follower, fan, sycophant, loyalist, dolt, or groupie! I must maintain a modicum of personal dignity in these circumstances, while still sticking to my word and being a pinata! :ph43r:

The use of wd's almanac has been widely known and accepted in the o/u contest all year. In fact I was fortunate enough to be allowed to borrow it for a weekend in which I had won 3 in a row. wd has expressly shown that to use the almanac one must intentionally miss a few so that no legal proof can be shown that the almanac in fact does exist. Make no mistake, it is my off the record opinion that it does exist, but my on the record stance can be summed up it two words. "Prove It". Any further comment from me will be along the lines of McGwire's congressional testimony.

That being said, wd has demonstrated a willingness to allow others to take a peek into the almanac. If The Ghost chose to observe season ending record and then place a bet, while still following wd's rules of use (i.e. not picking the exact record) then it is reasonable to allow the bet to stand based on past practice. The princess, no doubt had the same opportunity and either failed to take advantage or simply is not good enough at math to pull of the coop.

As official unbiased judge my final ruling is - Bet Stands and The Princess of Cub Love shall remain indebted to The Ghost.

Also as a point of order, I have come to realize that the Legends site protocol for member name, avatar and signature is that when one is changed it changes for every comment that the member has posted since being a member. While in most cases this is an acceptable and even welcomed practice, I would request that the "Boss", aka Mr. rb5, investigate the difficulty required to make an exception for the carrying out of this bet. It would be a shame if 30 days from now there would be no physical evidence that one royvern had ever changed his name to Darlene1908 and his avatar to a lady cub fan or his signature to acknowledge The Ghost's superiority to the same. Hey boss, please review the feasibility of this proposal.

I officially request that the LJAG (Legends Judge Advocate General) Colonel Prots, please note for the record that I, Darlene, did not then, nor have I ever, asked for a ruling seeking to overturn the bet that I believe I lost fair and square to that mook, The Ghostage!

I lost the bet to a man of honor and intend to honorably serve my sentence. To those who doubt my resolve in this matter...BITE ME! :ph43r:

I thought I posted this already, but must have forgot to post it.

So noted. The court recognize that all debts are current and paid without need for judgement. The court recognizes that under some stretch of the phrase it may be loosly applied that the debtor has been "a man of honor" if it is possible for a person stating a claim for being a cub fan can be considered honorable. Further the court recognizes that the debtor has made a valid effort to honor his debt and make restitution for the same, and is not delinquent in any payment at this time.
